Hi Ladies~ Glad to hear all is well, Daniella sleep when your baby sleeps! Tara~Good luck with the u/s, keep the anxiety low and trying to BREATHE! This whole process can be sooo nervewracking! Coda~Happy Belated Birthday, I hope your tummy feels better! Well, Just got AF last night and have to go into specialist tomorrow for hormone workup that they do when you have AF to make sure all hormones are in check. Then next Friday need to go in for Saline u/s to check the shape and lining of my uterus. ALL that bloodwork that I had done on the 11th is back, but haven't heard anything from the doc, I guess that is a good thing. I am hoping they will mention something tomorrow when I go for blood because I would like to start ttc again. But, want to make sure there is nothing obvious that is wrong before we do. I think I made up my mind that I would like to be preggers again by my next due date, which was August 5th. Wishful thinking, huh? Hi and hugs to All.... |

Christi- that is wonderful that your getting all this taken care of. Are they going to test you roughly 16dp AF to see if ovulation occured? I know the test they had set up for me once my AF started was day 3, day 7 and day 16. Here is a site for what hormones are tested when: www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html |

Hey, ladies! It's been a while! I have been really tired, sick and busy this whole crazy week. PLus, both my parents were in the hospital down south, so I have been calling them pretty much everyday after dinner and then basically falling alseep on the couch until dh comes home from work and wakes me up. My mom went in for a scheduled knee surgey last week, which went fine, but my dad went into a different hospital the day after for what he told me was food poisoning, but come to find out two nights ago that my family lied to me and it was really a blood clot in his stomach. My mom and dad wouldn't let my siblings tell me until after my dad was okay because she was afraid of upsetting me and anything happening to the baby. I told her she overreacted, but it was rather nice. I kind of figured something was up as he was in a very long time and my brothers and sister each flew down there (kind of in rounds) to "help out" which was odd because they were both still in the hospital. Anyway, all is okay. Had a long weekend, was in the car way too long both Saturday and Sunday - we had a christening on Long Island and we got VERY LOST! Christie- you will understand if I tell you that we got directions of f of mapquest to a 1st Pres. CHurch - only probl;em was it was in MINEOLA and we needed to be in BALDWIN! I forgot to bring the cell phone number, and we only had a map of long Island that showed major highwayas and so we had to guess our way from the north shore of LI to the suoth shore of LI. I know some parts of LI, but trust me that is NOT the area I know well! We were exhausted and starving when we finally got there (just after the baptism ended!). Then Monday I had cheer practice after school and I went in to tell my athletic director that I was p/g and was resigning (which was fine) but then I spoke to him about two comments that I was very unhappy about on my season evaluation (he wrote the exact same things on the varisty coach's and she was also po'ed) and ended up having this emotional, hormonal crying fit in his office (how embarassing). Then Wed I walked into work and my asst principal asked me if I had done my progres reports and I started at him like he had three heads before i realized that they were due in an hour (and I normally do them ahead of time and have NEVER forgotten!). So I was apologizing like crazy and figured I would do them at lunch. But I had a meeting scheduled at the bginning of lunch that was supposed to take 5-10 mins. Well it took nearly the whole period, and I was STARVING and exhuasted & barely choked down my food (which nearly came up). My teaching asst made me sit and finish eating while she started the class, but still I ate too fast. Then I had to do the damned reports after my last class and then teach an after school review class andi got home at almost 7 pm.(I felt like I hadn't had time to breathe!) I was exhuasted and this horible head cold had strated in. I fell asleep on the couch, and dh woke me up at midnight to go to bed. I took my prenatal vitamin, couldn't fall asleep and then about 50 minutes later I puked in bed (1 am!!!) I was so miserable between the naseua and the head cold. I woke up the next morning thinking, well at least I got the puking out of the way but NO! I threw up AGAIN! and was horribly naseous and congested and miserable the whole damned day! Last night I skipped my prenatal because I couldn't stomach the thought of taking it, and today I was good. I even ate breakfast. I figure one day without won't hurt. And the ironic thing is that I was feeling so good during the early part of the week and thought I was done with m/s after a brief puke on Sunday morning. Okay - that was long ,but I just needed to bitch about how long and exhusting this week was and how happy I am that it is OVER! Someone asked me today what I had planned for this weekend and I said NOTHING! I am not complaining about being pregnant - I just feel like since it is now 13 weeks, this m/s crap should be over with. SO Tara, yeha< i remmber thinking that a ilttle m/s wold be fine as a god sign that things were going aong, but after yesterday, trust me I am soooo wishing it would end. |

OKay, now to actualy talk TO peopl and not AT them. ABout Mother's Day - yeah, i remember how often even before TTC that peopel would just assume that i had kids and that tey were inelementary school or something. Popel are very stupid like that. Dawn - my original due date was May 10th, and I turned 12 weeks two days later, which was nice. Ireally hope that this 6th cycle is the one for you so you can make May a memorable month. Daniella - yeah, I have been exhausted! BUt I am sure you are far more than that. Now those sticthes must have REALLY hurt if they gave YOU percastat and vicadin - you remind me of a friend of mine who has very high pain tolerance. She told me about something that happened after she gave birth (foget what - I probably blocked it out) and when she said, yeah, it really hurt I remember thinking it would have been excuiciating for the rest of us if she said it was painful. As for b/c while breats feeding, you can do what Dawn said and just track your cycles with the scope and your cm. Or they have a very low dosage of the pill that I believ can be taken while b/f. Like Dawn said - you don't have to worry about long term b/c until after dh gets home! Coda - Yuik - it sounds like your IBS flared up. But I would check out the orangey discharge.. I had somethng that looked like that but is was from my progesterone supplements. Glad that little Rouge is doing well. Still you should ask the doc to chek on the discharge to be sure its not an infection. Sorry I missde your b'day. Hope it was lots of fun - especially as your twin was there. That cake sounds awesome. Save me a piece! ha,ha! Next week is dh and sis' b'days. BY the way, how is Louise doing and her son? Hope things have gotten better. That is so scary and your mom and housemate must be a couple of wrecks over it. Christie -good luck with your blolod work. Tara - how are you feeling these dyas? Has anyone heard from Nanbon or AllieB? - Hope all is well with those ladies. Sara - hang in there - the bleeding does seem never ending. My m/c was also at 7 wks and I think I bled for about a week and a half total. Once it ends you feel so much more hopeful.IT is harder this time because you were so aware of your pregnancy unlike the first time, so you got more attached to the baby. I am with Dawn on the waiting one cycle so you can chart things better. Unless you have a circumstance like Daniella who only would ovulate like 4 times a year and had to catch that eggy before her dh got shipped out again. Speaking of Daniella - that baby is CUUUTTEEEEEE! ANd daniella - I chekced out your pregnancy journal pics but haven't had a chance to check out the journal itself. Great job! |

Helene- Thanks a lot!!! and nice to see you back. hehe. Also, I think you need to take a break. Sounds like you've had a lot going on. Bet your thankful that week is over. So, are you done with your progesterone supplements now? Once you hit 12 weeks, there is no point in taking them. I bet your thrilled you hit that 12 week mark. hehe :) Whens your next apt?? Do you have an anatomy ultrasound scheduled for roughly week 19?? Are you going to find out the sex?? |

Good morning ladies. Helene glad to hear you are ok. Daniella your baby is soooo cute. This is the second month that af came on its own and it was normal. it was a week early but at least it came on its own. I think things or starting to straigten out yay. Good day to all. |

Hi ladies! Helene, your week sounds rough, but its over. Try and take it easy! I have been feeling yucky. Not true nausea, but this feeling like nothing I eat tastes good. My breasts are sore off and on, but nothing major. I these symptoms are quite a bit less then my last pregnancy with my daughter who had Turners. Turners syndrome gives you really high hcg levels almost like having Twins. Sad thing is I wish I had stronger symptoms. My missed miscarriage I had no symptoms and felt great. i do have a lot of creamy discharge that is really annoying and Im leaking it throughout the day. Can't wait until my first ultrasound on June 1. Daniella, your baby boy is beautiful! Lots of prayers for healthy babies and future pregnancies. |

Hey there! Yes, I didn't fall asleep last night until dh came home at midnight (don't know why) but I slept til noon today! ha! ANd felt absolutely no guilt about it. Yes, Daniella, I am off the supplements, and enjoying the freedom and peace of mind it brings. Yesterday was 13 weeks. Tara - I have a heavy discharge - had it throughout although with the supplements it was different. Since I ended them the discharge is almost like eggwhite cm and all I could think was, where the hell was this stuff when i was TTC all those times? ha, ha! Don't worry about not having major nausea - each pregnancy is different. I have friends who had every p/g be exactly the same and others who said each one was entirely different. My friend had no m/s with her son and miserable m/s with her daughter. Daniella had none and had a great pregnancy this last time. Nicole - I am glad to hear that a/f showed up on its own - sounds like your body is getting back to its old self which is great. I think my cold is getting better although I still get tired easily. I am having more stamina at the end of the day, but I still slow down around 3 pm ish. |

okay, DUH! I didn't answer half your questions Daniella. Yes, we are going to do the big u/s at around 19 weeks. I forget exactly when the doc said. I see him again next wek so he will probably ste up the date then. I am going for genetic counseling next Tuesday and then they make my amnio appt. which should be at roughly 16 weeks. It's ethe "AMO" thing. I know some peopl opt out of that but as the doc said, it is the most precise of the tests, and I keep thinking of my friend who had the CVS that came back bad and then her amnio said all was fine, and I figure why bother going through all the other ones first. Honestly, I wouldn't opt for termination unless it was somethign so awful that the baby would not survive after birth or be in pain (a friend of mine had that) or if it was life threatening like what Tara had. But I would far rather know and be prepared in case therer are preparations that need to be made in advance. And (what I am truly hoping for) a clean bill of health from an amnio would set my mind so at ease and God knows the way I am I need it. Yeah, we will find out the sex. My dad was trying to talk me out of it and finally he just said, then don't tell me. He is too funny. Everyone else wants to know. My sister just e-mailed me saying she dreamed I had a little girls with reddish blonde hair (sis is a red head) and that my friend and her adorable red-headed daughter were in the dream as well. Someone else told me they dreamed I had a boy. It is so funny. I go back and forth. I was all convinced girl at first but lately have been saying he. Whatever! Since it is the first, I don't have any specific wish for it to be either one over the other. ANd i guess that is another advantage of an amnio - you definitley know the sex! Not that I would have an amnio for that reason alone! |

Helene, With my daughter Treya I had an amnio to confirm Turners syndrome. I already knew the baby was in poor condition, but needed to know everything I could about her . It was very quick , but Ill be honest it felt like somebody stabbed me. The doctor just jabbed it in . I later found out they took the fluid from my daughters cystic hygroma instead of amniotic fluid. There was hardly any amniotic fluid in my uterus. You might feel some contractions after and make sure you take it really easy and things will be fine. Nicole, It took me birth control and a few months to get my cycle back to norm. I had the doctor take blood on day 21 to even see if I was ovulating. Well I did and became pregnant that cycle. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! |

HELENE - Nice to hear from you. Man, I was tired just reading your post describing your hectic week. I can imagine why you were exhausted and slept until noon over the weekend. Good for you though - you need to do that. If your body wants to sleep that long it obviously needs it. Thanks for the well wishes for this month. Today is CD15. The last two months I had + OPK on CD16 and 17. We BD yesterday and plan to once a day for the rest of the week. I just did an OPK strip for the first time yesterday. I had 5 left from last month and hope I am timing out the same this month again. If so it should come up + today or tomorrow or both. Cross your fingers :-) Dawn |

MELISSA - Nice to hear from you. Great news that you were able to take care of that issue from your last surgery. Are you very uncomfortable? Also great that in only two months you can start TTC again. Have you been doing any charting - are your cycles getting back to normal? I am hopefully in prime time right now - Today is CD16. The last two months I got a + OPK on this day so we will see what happens this afternoon. I had lots of ferns on my saliva scope this morning and DH and I have BD the last two nights. I'm crossing my fingers :-) Keep up posted on you .... Dawn |

Has anyone heard from BEE? I am anxious to hear the news about her new baby. I am sure she has had it by now. Was she for sure having a girl or was that still up for debate? DANIELLA - how are you doing? Got that crib all set up? Did your parents leave now? I will have to check your journal again and see if you have any new baby photos added. He is a cutie for sure :-) So I am a little bugged. Today is CD16 and I have still not seen any large amounts of fertile cf. Last month it started on CD14 but not so much this month. I hope hope hope things are timing out the same again this month and that my cycles are not getting longer again. I really thought I was going to lock in on the 31 day cycles seeing as the last two months were the same. Any thoughts? Dawn |

Hello Everyone - I am bummed. It would definitely appear that my cycle this month is not jiving with the last two. CD16 and no 2nd line on my OPK strip this afternoon. Also no obviously large amount of slippery cf either :-( What a drag - I only have two OPK strips left. Maybe I will go buy a 7 pack of them instead of the big 20 since I am using these last 5 beyond the recommended 30 days after opening the container. HELENE - you used these before, the Answer brand, think it is a big deal to use a couple weeks after the 30day mark? I am sure they are right since I do not have the slippery stuff yet. UGH - Dawn |
