Haven't heard from Bee, gosh I sure hope everything is OK. Really worried!! Anyone heard from her??? ___Tara- how far are you now and have you had your progesterone levels checked, etc.?? __Allieb- It all depends on how soon is soon enough to catch low levels of progesterone. My pregnancy stayed until 12 weeks on my last one with horrible levels (which we weren't aware of at that time).. but the fetal pole stopped growing at about 7 weeks. So, I would say that you need to start them before 7 weeks, but anytime you find them low, you should take the supplements right away regardless if its days after conception or weeks. As far as me... Helene, remember when I said I had to put off that root canal in the first trmester. That they started the first half, then I found out I was pregnant so I never got the finished half done!? Well, last night I had a horrible tooth ache. Coudn't sleep. Then today its been so bad, the absolute worse tooth pain I have ever had. Anyhow, went to the dentist (emergency since its Sunday and they're also closed tomorrow for Memorial Day)... and they said I might have to get my tooth pulled now. Go figure!! Gosh, if it isn't one thing, its something else. Have to go back in tomorrow. They gave me vicodin and motrin. LOL...

Helene - May 28th, 2006 2:59 PM

Tara - It could be absolutely nothing - so many women have spotting and bleeding that turns out to be something like what Coda had or nothing at all.If it picks up at all, go to the emergency room. Even if they can't do an u/s they an check your cervix to see that it is still closed and looks good. Don't give up - I kow that it is hard after all you have been through not to fear the worst (hell - anyone who hadn't gone through any of this would get scared, so it is more than understandable). Hang in there - i will send good thoughts and prayers your way. Coda & ALlie - More like STUPID woman because I should just say I can't do all this crap! Expect that week is all stuff I have no way out of. The varisty dinner I need to go to because the varsity coach is giving the two scholarships to her daughter and her daughter's best friend so she wants me to present them. I know she feels a little awkward, but the two girls so deserve it because they have put in more effort than any of the other seniors - they are the only two who came back for the winter season and they have been showing up each week to help us teach the younger girls more advanced stunts even though they won't be here next year. Plus, the other senior girl to whom she was originally thinking of giving the one scholarship not only dropped the ball as captain in the fall, but she didn't come back for the winter season and then complained to the athletic director about the varisty coach saying a bunch of garbage. At last year's dinner, one of the track coaches gave the award to his younger brother, a swim coach gave MVP to his son and some other coach gave it to his son. My varsity coach looked at me and said, gee, all this time I have been thinking I an't recognize my daughter for her efforts because it would look bad! And I said really! Don't screw her out of the award - I'LL give it to her if you want. Hell, I made her captain when she was on my team as a freshman because she was so good. The good news is that cheerleading is usually one of the first awards they present, so I am just going to leave after that and say - oh well I am PREGNANT and need my sleep! ANd I am hoping that they don't need me for my wing's moving up ceremony and maybe I can just make a brief appearance at the moving up ceremony for the wing my IEP kids are in. Coda - That is so great about your visa. Doesn't this mean that you guys can start making plans for your wedding? Or do you need another type of visa, still? Daniella - UGH! I once broke a tooth over 4th of July weekend and thought I would die before I saw a dentist finally. AT least they gave you some good meds in the meantime - and now you can FINALLY TAKE THEM! My friend had something similiar when she was pregnant and it was so much worse afterward, too, because of the time passing, but hey, what can you do? Hope you get that taken care of as soon as possible. We finally cleaned the house yesterday and it improved my state of mind so much! ha, ha! I felt sick a large portion of the day, and had a hard time eating dinnre, but made it through Today I woke up good but as soon as I started moving about I got sick. I needed to eat badly so I made small pancakes (which usually stays down) and toped it with sliced strawberries an bananas on it was so happy that I was eating some fruit and fiber but halfway through I tossed it all. How gross is this? I brushed my teeth, washed my mouth out and then finished the second half! Ha! I figured I better eat something during the 15 minutes after barfing that I feel better! We went food shopping afterward and I was queasy throughout. It leaves a bad tatse in my mouth that makes the water taste ehh, so I bought some decaf iced tea which helps a little bit. Oh crap - who am I kidding - nothings works! LOL!

Tara S - May 28th, 2006 7:00 PM

Well ladies, I went to emergency in my home town because my family doctor was working last nite. Emergency where I live don't do any ultrasounds on the weekend. My family doctor has a portable ultrasound machine and said he didn't think his machine could pick up a heartbeat at 6 weeks 4 days, because the fetus is too small. The ultrasound showed everything it should for my dates(measuring 7 weeks) and was in the uterus, but he said to keep my fingers crossed.I have had cramping in my back and abdomen area. A little spotting this morning, but none this afternoon. Thanks for all your kind words, I would like to stay positive, but have prepared myself for the worst. Tomorrow I will phone my Obgyn and see what he says.

Daniella - May 28th, 2006 11:50 PM

Tara- did the doctor just say it wouldn't pick up a heartbeat or did it not pick up one?? Or did he say it wouldn't and it did?? Wow, sorry.. think the vicodin has got to my head. LOL.. Went back to the dentist today because right after all that yesterday, I get a call and they noticed something on my other tooth (go figure!) and it wasn't the tooth we thought. So, now I have 2 problems instead of one. Yet, now it looks like it doesn't need to be pulled.

coda - May 29th, 2006 12:57 AM

danellia thats not soo good :( hey see ur discharge was it like water runing honest to god the last cpl of days every time i have stood up i get this gush it feel horrible !! rogue is very livley kept me up all night kicking i swear she is up more than she sleeps i have had no more of that snot stuff which is good i have my midwife appointment tomorrow so i will mention this running water thing its horrible. helen i will probably have to wait 2 yrs for this visa to run out b4 we can get marryed but at least by then i will be back in shape lol

Daniella - May 29th, 2006 9:24 AM

Hey Coda- Well thats good you aren't loosing more of that mucus crap, but just keep an eye on your discharge. I know that mine got real watery like in the mid. also... even told the doctor and they tested it on the paper to make sure it wasn't amnio fluid, but it wasn't. Your hormones make your discharge so much more during a pregnancy. Especially once you hit 3rd trimester. Heck, sometimes I wanted to wear a pad just for the extra fluid. Yet, to be on the safe side, ask the dr. to make sure you don't have a slight rupture and to check the discharge. Its easy they just test it on paper to see if it turns blue. Anyhow, good luck with that. Let us know how the appt. goes. :)

Helene - May 29th, 2006 11:38 AM

Tara- I have my fingers crossed for you that it pasess. At least doc saw the baby in the right place. Did they run your numbers (hcg)? Good luck hon! Coda - you are so funny! Yeah, I should say you will definitely have your girlish figure back by then (unless you decide to go for numero duo!) Daniella - Good luck with your teeth. Dental pain is the worst. (of course, I have yet to go through childbirth). I hope Bee gets a chance to log on soon. I know sometimes we don't hear from her for a while, and if she had the baby it might be hard to get to the computer especially as she has three little girls already.

Tara S - May 29th, 2006 2:10 PM

Helene, I went in today and had an ultrasound at my ob gyns. I completly prepared myself for a miscarriage and fetus with no heartbeat. Fetus heartbeat was 120bpm. I seen its little heart fluttering and I cried. I still have a 50% chance of miscarrying this baby. Doctor calls it a threatend miscarriage. He doesent think I need progesterone because I had two healthy babies and Treya was a chromosome problem not progesterone. Im so scared, but Ill take 50% as Treya they would not even give me a 1 % chance that she would survive. I had to go for blood work after and he wants to check my Hcg level again. the day before a started bleeding I had slight nausea and now I have none, but my breasts are hurting and sometimes when I sneeze I have ligament pain. I always get really attached after seeing the heartbeat so Im sure hoping this baby survives. I have another ultrasound on Thursday and an appointment June 6.

Tara - what good news to hear! I'm glad all is going well so far. How far along are you, again? I'll keep thinking good thoughts for you and the little one. I am on here tonight because though I haven't had any bleeding or real tell tale signs, I just don't feel much. My boobs are a little sore - but hardly at all, and otherwise, I don't seem to be peeing more than usual, I'm not exhausted - in fact, dh and I took a three hour walk yesterday and today to no effect. So I'm just on this perpetual rollercoaster that this pg isn't going to be viable and I can't get into the dr. before June 8th! This is one of the main reasons I hate living in the city - there is just an endless wait for everything no matter what your problem is. I'm just starting week 6 and I just think I should be feeling more - having more symptoms. And if this one miscarries, too, I'm just going to feel like a jerk for ever even mentioning it to anyone (mom, dh, sister). I know that's dumb, but it's just a fact. Sorry - I know I must sound like such a whiner, but this waiting is for the birds.

Tara S - May 29th, 2006 9:37 PM

Daniella, I checked out the site and it was great info. Im 7 weeks and with bleeding I have about a 10% chance of losing the baby. Thats a lot higher then 50% the doctor gave me. I had an adominal ultrasound as well. When I had the ultrasound the doctor said well you have a 95 % chance of carrying this baby to term after seeing the heartbeat. I reminded him of my spotting and he said well 50% chance that the baby will survive. They said on the site that 50% of babies miscarry in a threatened abortion . I wonder if that means 50% of all threatend abortions(with or without seeing heartbeat) and your chances go down after seeing a heartbeat . Im feeling crampy but so far just minimal spotting when I go to the bathroom. allieb, I know its hard but try not to worry about symptoms. My healthy babies I didn't get them until I was close to 7 weeks and they were never really strong. Lots of prayers for healthy babies and bfp's for those that are ttc.

coda - May 30th, 2006 1:18 AM

okay just got back from my appt was there for 5hrs ...... they tested my urine with a dip stick looks like i have an infection so urine sent away to see what anti biotics i will need. again my blood pressure was up 150/100 and i have a bit of swelling the babys head is also head down i have to go back next week for test results as they took blood too ..... baby is fine thou kicking away and her hb is 160 .so we shall see what happens i have been sent back to the hypertention clinic which means i see both midwife and doctor and appt will be every 2 weeks normally but they want me back to sort out infection and make sure my bp settles. anyways thats about it hope u all are well :)

Daniella - May 30th, 2006 7:21 AM

Tara- yea, bleeding could be so many things. I wouldn't worry unless it fills a pad in an hour. Just spotting could be old blood, or even a cyst on the ovary, etc. I pray everything works out. ___Coda- did they check the vaginal fluid?? Thats good the little one is head down. Can always turn yet, since your not quite in the 3rd trimester, but at least she is there now. I'm pretty sure mine was about this time for you also. So, thats just great!! :) ___Allie- my last miscarriage that I lost at 12 weeks and it did have a heartbeat, I had horrible pregnancy symptoms and still lost that one. My pregnancy that made it full term that I just had, I had NO symptoms. So, you just never know. I know I felt like this one was going to be a miscarriage in the beg. also because I had no symptoms, but that wasn't the case. He was born a perfectly healthy baby boy. So, keep your hopes up (as hard as it may be). I wish you the best of luck also. :)
