Wow Dawn-I'm really hoping we'll hear some good news soon! I'm sure you 're kinda hoping for that too huh :) lol I could use some uplifting news. Today was the last day of school and most teachers would be really glad (and I am in a way) but I had 2 awesome classes this year and it's so hard to say goodbye to a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds that I've really come to love over the past 9 months! Ok, my pity party is over! I've heard so much about OPK's and I'm sorry if this question is common sense to everyone, but what exactly is it? I've seen ovulation detectors by the hpt's- is that what an opk is? Is it a one time thing? Sorry, I've just never really looked into them. Lavendar - I'm glad you found a doc that you are comfortable with. That makes a HUGE difference, especially when you will be entrusting your future child in his care! Before my EP I was scheduled for a thyroid scan, but never went to get it b/c of pregnancy. Now I know I need to go back, but I'm worried I'll have to get the scan...then no ttc for a few months (so I've heard). My temps hover around 96.8-low 97's, so maybe I have hypo? I would love for the dr to just say I will need progesterone and everything else is ok as far as thyroid goes like you! Thanks to your outcome, I'll call the dr on Monday morning and hope for the best. |

CHRISTIE - Thanks for the enthusiasm. I am going to wait at least a couple days to test again. I hope that a/f does not show up and I get a BFP before Monday so I can get into my doctor right away. CBELLA -- Thanks to you too - Yes, I am definitely hoping for a positive outcome. I am feeling really good about it right now. DH and I had a great month and lots of fun ttc and I think my body is ready for it. Just have to see if nature did it's thing and hope for the best. I will definitely keep all of you ladies posted. You all will know before my family even. I am considering surpising them in August if I am PG right now. IF I can hold out that long, that is. As for school being out, you will have a whole new batch of adorable kids in the fall and will fall in love all over again. I praise all you teachers. I work for an educational company and work with ALLOT of teachers and you are all great. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I am leaving in a few minutes and will not post until Monday unless something drastic brings me to the library to get online and post. Dawn |

DAWN I reckon Ill be logging on in the middle of the night after a feed...I cant wait to hear I hope if it is a BFP for you. |

cbella- yup, opk is "ovulation predicter kit" :) Dawn- actually most test now a days with the 4-5 day early test can show a BFP just 9 days after ovulation. Should definitely show it 14 days after ovulation. If not, then your HCG may not be rising correctly OR the test isn't good which is a very low chance of that. YET, if you don't know when the exact date of ovulation occured then you really cant say, "this is __ days" ya know! So, as long as AF doesn't come then there is definitely much hope in the air. Also, if for some reason your body didn't ovulate this month that can account for no AF. You can have AF without ovulating, but you have to have AF after ovulation. Gosh, I am really hoping that this is IT!! Its about time you and dh get lucky and are blessed. You deserve that much and more!!! |

dawn i have my fingers crossed for u this month. well i went to my doctors to hand in the letter from the hospital and he did an internal my cervix is closed thank god but i have a really bad thrush high up so i had to get a pessery. then he took my bp and pulse and suprise suprise it was trackicardic and i have protine in my urine sooo i have to go to hypertention clinic on tuse as its a holiday on mon here. and if its up on tuse still then i have to come back on that fri for an all day thing were they take ur bp, pulse every 1/2 and i go for a scan to see if the baby is growing ok. soooo i am going to rest all long weekend and hope it come,s down. they are worryed i might develop preaclampsia i am 27 weeks and 1 day . i must say that the specalist doctor i have been seeing is very nice so it makes all this easyer. i am sooo over feeling dizy and sick i was hoping the anti biotics would sort everything out but no such joy.. my twin goes away next week fruit picking with her b/f so they can stay an extra yr dont know how i will cope with out her anyways i am away to have my lunch |

Awww Coda, I am so sorry!! Gosh I wish there was something I could do. If you have protein in your urine you DO have pre-eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia is when you have protein in your urine and high blood pressure. Its a step past hypertension. They say it can actually be helped by a good diet. There has been many studies saying that if you develop it, you develop it and nothing you can do.. but recent studies show that over 90% of pre-eclamps can be prevented or helped just by a good diet. Gosh, I sure hope things settle down and it doens't get worse. That is wonderful that you have such a great new dr. Hopefully after they treat the yeast, things get back on track. Did they say if or how effaced you are?? Well thats good that your cervix is completely closed. Yeast infections can cause preterm labor and pre-eclampsia can cause PROM... premature rupture of membranes. Neither of which you want. So take it easy girl!! At least your almost past the point of if the litle girl was born now she would live outside the womb. How far are you now? You should just about be in the 3rd trimester, right? 3rd trimester is at 27 weeks... aren't you about that already if not just passed? So, that is good!!! |

yeah i am 27 weeks and 1 day. i am so taking things easy dont want to go into pre term labour but the doctor said they probably wont let me go past my due date.i am hoping it is not any worse by tuse as i know that complete bedrest will be brought up. the worst part of all this the breathlessness i know u get it in pregnancy but i am sitting hear typing this and struggling to catch my breath. i just want rogue to be healthy and for that i need to be .anyway i will keep u all posted. danellia ur little man is sooo cute and what a head of hair he has on him :) |

Coda- Just make it to 37 weeks and you'll be fine. Thats only 10 weeks from now. I know it seems like forever away especially when your in discomfort, but it flies once you hit 30 weeks. Yes, it is harder on your diaphram when you get into the third trimester because of baby pushing up and leaving you with so little room for everything else... but, as hard as the breathing feels, just take it easy you wont die as bad as it seems... it just feels uncomfortable... not to make matters sound worse, but it doesn't get any better from now.. only worse because baby gets much bigger... Although, when baby drops near the end its such a relief. Hang in there!! All this pain, etc. we go thru to have a baby pays off in the end. I absolutely LOVE my body now after he is out. I couldn't believe how crappy I felt when I was pregnant until I have my body back. I have so much energy (except from the lack of sleep)... I feel like I can run a marathon now... I feel so much lighter and like I just had liposuction. lol.... It was real hard that first week after having him because I actually gained more water weight and you couldn't see my toes cuz my feet swelled so bad. I thought it would go away once he was born, but nope.. not for a few days. Well, I am on 5 weeks after and feel like a brand new person. Just the stretch marks are very depressing. I would do it all over again many times to have my son, so as bad as it was/is its totally worth it. Bee- what you think?? How you doing?? |

Coda- Oh meant to tell ya.... My blood pressure got pretty high once I hit about 32 weeks (when I started dilating and lost my plug, etc.) that they kept checking my urine. They thought for sure I was developing pre-eclampsia but each lab came back NO protein. My blood pressure was around 160/90 pretty much every time they took it up until I gave birth. Listen to this, right after I gave birth and they got us set up in our new family room in the labor area... they checked my blood pressure and it was 120/67.. My exact blood pressure before I was pregnant. I thought that was odd and maybe she took it wrong, but every time they came in the room to test it, it was right about that... So, right after little john was born it went right back to normal. It so crazy!!! |

Bee- I weighed the exact same the day after I gave birth then I did the day before. I was like, "what the heck, I should have at least lost 7lbs. 8oz for what the baby weighed" But, nope.. the exact same... its because I gained so much water weight. I guess your body retains water right after you give birth to support the breast feeding, etc.. Well, I lost half the weight now. To the ones that know pounds (I know Bee, your kg) but I gained 24 lbs. to the day I gave birth... and lost 11 as of last week. I have 13 more to go but everyone says I look exactly the same now as I did before I got pregnant. I know the 13 pounds have to be somewhere. Probably my boobs... LOL __Dawn- you going to wait until Monday to test?? __Coda- how you feeling? That infection getting better? __Helene- other than the nausea and school, hows everything else. __To the rest... How are we all doing. Well, hope everyone is having a good weekend. I, on the other hand haven't had any sleep in 51 hours. Last time I slept was Thursday night. My mother in law screwed up liittle Johns feeding so now I have to fix it all. He used to eat 5-6 oz every 3 hours. Well, she kept letting him fall asleep and not finish, so he would only eat 4 oz. and would wake up for another feeding 2hours later. So, its all messed up. Next time I am not having any visitors until everything is set and stone. |

Oh Daniella-you must be so tired! And I bet your mil has no idea how much she was messing up little John's schedule. Hopefully it won't take long to get back on track so you can get some real sleep! Coda-how are you feeling? I hope you are/were able to rest this weekend. And I hope that little bub has relaxed on her kicking! Dawn-I can't wait till tomorrow to hear from you!!! As far as I can tell, no sign of o yet for me, and this is cd 28. What the heck! I've been looking up anovulatroy cycles thinking that's what happened, but I will def. be calling my family doc tomorrow to check my thyroid again. Yay. My friend's sister just announced she's pg a (again) and I ran into someone from HS who was a huge slack off then-he is married with a 1 yr old and another on the way and they're already in the framing stage of building a house. (My hubby and I are still in the planning stage-where we've been for 2 yrs!) And 2 close friends of mine are both due this summer. I'm so happy for them all (except the kid from HS-I know everyone deserves great things, but come on now...if you only saw him back then!) but it's hard just the same. |

cbella- only time will tell, and your time is about due to have a baby. :) As far as those in HS, well... its good that things turned around for them. Some may think the same for me if you only knew me in HS. I was the only girl on the HS football team that started wide reciever (I wasn't big) and played many sports. I almost went into the olympics for softball and I am a kickboxing champian in the states. I never wanted to get married, nor have any children. That all changed when I met the love of my life. Well, not really. We got married with his knowledge that we weren't going to have any kids. He knew that. Well.... the first pregnancy wasnt planned and I almost lost my life due to the ectopic. He watch me in the hospital with my BP 69/16 and completely blue due to losing 5.5 pints of blood. More than half the blood in the human body. After I woke up from surgery, it hit me that we both just lost a baby and he almost lost me as well. About a year later, I told him that we need to talk. I said to him that I decided that our relationship deserves a baby and he would be the best father and I dont want to take that from him and I do want a child now. He cried!! No joke... he held me tight and cried. He is a strong military man of 6'5" and that was the first time I seen him cry. The only other time I seen him cry was when we lost the last baby when its heart stopped. ANYHOW...... So, things do have a way of changing around and we now have an awesome family that I thank God all the time for. Once again, time will tell!!!! Good luck!! |
