Ovulation & TTC After M/C Part 5 !

Dawn- Im starting to wonder/think that maybe the pill helped you get pregnant. Especially if your cycles weren't regular before the pill. My sister got pregnant on the pill right away. Then after her daughter was born she had been trying and trying for YEARS... 9 years to be exact. I mean, we think 9 months is bad of trying, try 9 years... Anyhow, they tried everything. She ended up going back on the pill, skipped a dose and BAMB got pregnant the very first try from the pill. The pill actually acts as a hormone balancer to get everything together with just an added level of a hormone to keep you from ovulating.. but, if you stop the pill your body is still balanced but not enough of that hormone to keep you from ovulating. Remember right after my miscarriage I was put on provera to bring on my AF... well, many think that the progesterone in provera actually helped me keep my pregnancy. Provera is a form of birth control. Well.. my whole life I've NEVER had a regular period. I would go 3 months at a time without one and once and a while get 2 in one month. I never knew when it came and I don't think it was EVER 28 days after the other. If it was it was a complete coinsidence. lol... anyhow... do a google search on "luteal phase defect" I know that just because I have it doesn't mean you gals do, but it doesn't hurt to check it out. Not only may it cause you to not get pregnant, it can cause a miscarriage if you do get pregnant. All of which we have experienced. Lavendar- Cant your doctor just test you about 16-18 days after your AF to see if ovulation did indeed occur?? My friend goes every month around that day and gets a sono and not only does it show if ovulation occured, it shows how many eggs were released and of those eggs, how many were mature. For example... a few months back she had released 3 eggs (mind you they had her on clomid since she has been trying for a few years).. but only 1 of the 3 eggs were mature. She still didn't end of concieving even though her hubby checked out, they had sex perfect timing and a mature egg was released... AND she was given progesterone right after ovulation was known to occur. Progesterone keeps the lining of the uterus nice and thick for implantation. If you aren't producing enough you may not ovulate, if you do, your uterus may not be nice enough for implantion. Can also cause early miscarriages because it didn't burrow well into the lining of the uterian wall. I wonder how many times I actually might have been pregnant but never knew and just thought it was another screwed up cycle. |

Lavender- yea, I know the feeling. Hubby and I were married exactly one year when I had that first loss. It wasn't planned, but it opened our eyes. I spent our 1 year anniversary in the hospital because of that ectopic and almost losing my life. It took exactly 21 months after that to get pregnant again. Lost that as an early miscarriage and bled for about a month. 6 months after that I got pregnant again and lost that one when its heart stopped at 12 weeks and had a D&C. Only 5 weeks after that I got pregnant again without having a period and that is the one that was best and that one is in the other room sleeping now after a full tummy. BUT yea, after a loss you realize that could have been a baby in your arms. I believe things happen for a reason and my last loss opened my eyes up to my progesterone problem making me fix that to keep my little guy now. He is our angel and watched/watches over my son now. |

Bee- wow, I feel lost.. what is nappy?? lol and b/c is birth control. Probably the same thing as what you say mini pill. Yea, its slightly different when you breast feed because the regular birth control pill can make your milk not come in as well. I still bled up until about 3 1/2 weeks after... but after about 2 weeks it was real light. I still wore a pad just in case, but it was like. Hubby and I had sex 2 1/2 weeks after and was OK. Just take it real slow. I was amazed at how much it didn't hurt. SORRY TMI. Also, I thought having a baby would screw things up down there, but in fact I think its perfect. I can't believe all these women that have c-sections because they dont want to give birth vaginally because they wont be as tight, or whatever.. but, you go right back if not tighter. So weird! Anyhow Bee- I am glad that your girls are doing just great with the new little one and everything is going well. You gotta send some pics. hehe. |

Dawn, Im so sorry it didn't happen this month. I agree with what Daniella said about the pill. My doctor told be the same thing when I asked what would be the best to requlate my cycles so we can ttc sooner. I wen't on the pill for a few months went off and concieved second month of trying( we really didn't try very hard the first month so I wasent suprised when it was negative). My first cycle right off birth control came on the 29 day like it used to. My doctor did follow me to see if I was ovulating. I went for a blood test on the 21st day of my cycle and managed to concieve that cycle. My doctor put me on the pill for three cycles. I would really talk to your doctor and see what he recommends! |

Oh wow Coda... Gosh, I sure hope things mellow out. I know I measured the exact week as I did in cm. during each visit.. When I was 32 weeks, I measured exactly 32 weeks... BUT... When I was 37 weeks, I measured 36 weeks and when I was 38 weeks I measured 35 weeks. So, I was actually going down. That is why they wanted to strip my membranes, because my fundal height starting going down and they thought baby stopped growing and just needed to come out. Anyhow... a lot of factors play in when your height measures more. Did the scan show too much fluid?? Because I know they say give or take 2 weeks... So, you can go up to 29 weeks seeing that your 27.. but, 32 is a bit high. Did you gain weight fast?? Has it been the same person taking the measurements?? ANyhow... I really hope all is OK. And hey, maybe your just having a big healthy baby in there. :) |

So Bee... do you use cloth diapers then?? And you are going to use disposable diapers at night?? Sorry Im being retarded.. think lack of sleep is starting to deprive my brain. lol ___Guess what gals... hubby came home last night as a surprise. Well, actually he didn't know until earlier yesterday but never told me. The ship he was on broke down (go figure!) So, they had to pull in to get it fixed. Have no idea when they go back out. Could be tomorrow or could be a couple days. So, that was a very pleasant surprise. Although he didn't wake up for the early feeding. LOL... it was still nice to have him back. We actually ate a nice warm meal. I know they say you need to eat good when you breast feed...but man, with what time when its only you and baby and no help at all. Sometimes you just forget to eat the whole day. BUT< I am always thirsty. I carry water with me everywhere I go. |

Bee_ LMAO! Hahaha... too funny!! So, how is doing the cloth diapers? Gosh, I would think that to be a pain. My little boy pees so much that his diaper weighs like 20 pounds. Ok, not really that much, but it weighs so much it feels like a brick. He would soak his mattress to the bottom if he wore cloth diapers. LOL... No joke!! And yea, the disposable ones are expensive. Not $20 for 40.. but here on base is just over $10 for 40... BUT out in town the pampers cost 1900 yen (about $16) for 118 of them. So, needless to say we buy them out in town. The are so much better anyhow. They even have this indication line thing on it that turns blue when he pees. The bad part about that is I swear its always turning blue from him peeing so much that Im always checking and changing. If it didn't tell me he's wet, I probably wouldnt go through as many diapers. LOL... but, he is real picky. He cries as soon as he wets his diaper. He doesn't like to sit in it at all when he goes like some babies dont mind. Did you do the cloth with your other girls also?? Wow, I bet it would be easier with the girls then boys (maybe) I know when I changed mine as soon as the diaper comes off he shoots himself, sometimes he even shoots himself in the face with his pee. LOL.. I have to keep a burping blanket on his tummy and face so that he doesn't get himself all wet. ___ For the ones TTC, so sorry if talking about babies is real upsetting right now. Totally understand so I'll keep it down. You gals will be here posting the same things once the little ones come and THEY WILL!! :) |

no i have attually lost wight go figure.and yeah its the same midwife who messures me. i have gone from 25cm to 32cm in 2 weeks which is alot the scan he did in his office was because he could not feel baby too much fluid . she is breech bottom down there. so she must have turned in the last cpl of weeks to. this explanes why i am sooo breathless thou lol there are sooo many reasons for extra fluid looked it up infection of the baby (rubella) gestational diabetis, an abnormallity in baby or some times it just happens so i will just have to wait and see. but carrying extra fluid can make u go into pre term labour because ur womb cant take the wight so guess what u have to rest lmao |

Coda- what do you mean that she must have turned in the past couple of weeks?? You are 27 weeks gestation.. she's going to be doing flips all day long (especially if you have extra fluid). It just depends where she happens to be when the do the scan. They can flip even up until you are due. Luckily mine was head down and started to engage when I started dilating at 32 weeks. Yet, usually its quite often after that. My friends wife had a c-section scheduled because her baby girl was breach and the day they went in (all happy that they were going to have their girl that day) had a scan and the baby turned, so they were sent home and had to wait until she went into labor on her own. So, they will be turning and turning.... and more so when you have extra fluid. They usually say at about 36 weeks the baby shouldn't turn/move as much because it starts to get tight in there, but definately not at 27 weeks and with extra fluid, so I am sure you'll be alright there. :) I'm sure she will turn head down when shes ready. :) You still have a whole trimester for that to happen since you just hit the 3rd. :) Gosh, you must be stressing so much and doing many searching in the Internet. Its going to drive you nuts. Please take it easy, we want to see you and baby healthy and stress-free. How is Troy doing about this?? He better be rubbing your feet at night and doing those dishes for ya, hehe. ;) (and not playing wow, lol) |

Oh Coda also meant to say that you only get more room to breath when the baby "drops." It has nothing to do if the baby is head down or up. The only thing that matters is if the baby is head down you might get kicked up high which can take your breath away. LOL.. YOu will be feeling more breathless now and more and more until the baby drops at the end of the pregnancy. Right before my baby dropped, it was a pain just to make it to the top of the stairs. I felt like I needed an inhaler. LOL.. Baby pushes everything so up high into you that you really think your going to pass out at times from being so breathless. Dont worry, you wont. Well, you shouldn't as long as you just take it easy and dont freak out and hyperventilate. |

Hi Everyone - Thanks for thinking of me and for consoling me. It is greatly appreciated. I am pretty much over it now - had a couple bad days and have to move on. I said to DH last night that he did not seem disappointed at all. He told me he wasn't. That we put in our efforts and it did not work, that he is not going to be devastated about it and all we can do is try again. Well alrighty then. So we will try again this month. I was talking to my neighbor and she was bothered that I have not had a pelvic exam since the m/c. Just never did one since we thought everything came out and now I am having cycles. Anyway, I called and will be seeing my new internal medicine doctor for a pap/pelvic on July 27th. Sooner if I can. If there is a cancellation they will call me. At that time I will have 4 months worth of charts and information to share with her and if I am not pregnant by then we can discuss other options. DANIELLA, you may be right and maybe I should go back on the pill for a while. stop suddenly and then see what happens. But I do want to give my body another couple months to try first. It really has only been a few months of really trying since my first couple cycles were so whacky this year. I will definitely explore your suggestion if no luck by the end of July though. CODA - Holy Cow Girl - If it is not one thing it is another with you. Please take it easy on yourself right now. This is such an importatn time and we want to make sure Rogue comes out happy and healthy. Dawn |
