Hi Everyone - Thanks for thinking of me and for consoling me. It is greatly appreciated. I am pretty much over it now - had a couple bad days and have to move on. I said to DH last night that he did not seem disappointed at all. He told me he wasn't. That we put in our efforts and it did not work, that he is not going to be devastated about it and all we can do is try again. Well alrighty then. So we will try again this month. I was talking to my neighbor and she was bothered that I have not had a pelvic exam since the m/c. Just never did one since we thought everything came out and now I am having cycles. Anyway, I called and will be seeing my new internal medicine doctor for a pap/pelvic on July 27th. Sooner if I can. If there is a cancellation they will call me. At that time I will have 4 months worth of charts and information to share with her and if I am not pregnant by then we can discuss other options. DANIELLA, you may be right and maybe I should go back on the pill for a while. stop suddenly and then see what happens. But I do want to give my body another couple months to try first. It really has only been a few months of really trying since my first couple cycles were so whacky this year. I will definitely explore your suggestion if no luck by the end of July though. CODA - Holy Cow Girl - If it is not one thing it is another with you. Please take it easy on yourself right now. This is such an importatn time and we want to make sure Rogue comes out happy and healthy. Dawn

DANIELLA - Regarding the luteal phase defect...I thought that was when your body did not have enough time from when you ovulate to when your a/f starts for the egg to make it down and implant. I did not think that had much to do with varying cycle lengths. We have to remember that just because our cycles are not 28 days does not mean they are abnormal. That is just an average and a number that has been grabbed onto by everyone. It can vary for everyone and every cycle. My understanding is we need a minimum of 10 days from ovuation to a/f in order for an egg to implant successfully. Am I way off? Oh, can I just say that the woman who sits next to me wears THE NASTIEST perfumes ever. Today is is a new one and it is horrible. I actually emailed her a while back requesting she lighten up on her perfume cuz it makes me nauseous. She did for one day and then right back to it. WHEN I get PG again I know I am going to be ready to hurl and might just have to do it on her on my way to the bathroom so she gets the point. Problem is she is a smoker and trying to cover up that stench so either I deal with stinky perfume or stinky smoke - UGH! Dawn

Lavendar-my situation is very similar to yours! We were not ttc (though we weren't doing anything to prevent it either) when we did conceive with EP this past March. And now that that chapter is hopefully done and over with, my desire to have a little one is so strong. I was surprisingly okay through everything...I thought that the fact we weren't really trying and that the doctor was concerned from the beginning were two factors that made the whole thing a bit easier to take. Sure I had my moments, but overall I was okay. It seems to be hitting me now-I'd be past my 1st trimester, baby would be born by Christmas, I'd be wearing cute summer pg clothes right now...you know how your mind can just get carried away? I'm not the type to dwell on that, but lately...I don't know. I'm now hoping and praying for af soon. (It's my understanding that you still have af even when you didn't o, right?) And then I just hope and pray that my cycle would get back on track next month. Do you girls think it's too early to talk to my gyno? Will he just tell me we need to wait and see? (there's that word "wait" again) On top of that I had bloodwork done for my thyroid yesterday...results should be in tomorrow. That may throw a wrench in things! Boy I sound like such a downer---so sorry! Dawn I love your attitude-WHEN you get pg again...I need to think like that (and I usually do, I've just been super emotional lately!) That's a toss up between stale smoke and stinky perfume. Wish I could help you out with that one :) Daniella, sounds like your guys is a champ when it comes to peeing!! lol I laughed about the part with him not having the best aim :) I have twin brothers that are 8 yrs younger than me and I remember that happening VERY OFTEN with them!

Hi ladies, This morning when I went to take a bowel movement I had this big glob of mucus come of out of my vaginal. It was clearand white and no blood, but it reminded me of when I lost my mucus plug with my other two children weeks before i went into labour. It kind of scared me becasue I never had this before. Is it normal? Im also always wet, Im constantly leaking. it might be urine from having babies some times its a white yellowy discharge. Im only 9 weeks and don't remember any of this in my past pregnancies. Im thinking of renting a doppler soon, Im a nervous wreak. I rented one with Treya and heard her heart at 10 weeks . I know your not supposed to use them too much, I don't its just reassuring when I feel like Im going to have a breakdown not knowing if the baby is still alive or not.

Daniella - June 13th, 2006 7:09 PM

Dawn- yea, that can be the case, and yea not having a 28 day cycle doesn't mean theres a problem since thats just average... But, if you have a 28 cycle one month and 34 the next, etc., then its not the same each month with is a result if irregularity. Regardless how long your cycle is, you should have AF 14 days after ovulation. If AF comes before 14 days after, so say 10 days after, etc., then you have a shortened luteal phase. Anyhow, I'm not telling you anything you dont already know. I think maybe you should see from the clinic if you are ovulating. OPK's say you are about to, however they don't say, hey you did ovulate and this is what you released and when, etc., and there is more to it then just that.. because that is just showing ovarian activity. It takes much more than releasing an egg.... AFTER you ovulate you develop corpus luteum where the remains of the egg was, and that corpus luteum is the ONLY structure that produces the hormone progesterone in significant quantities that are essential for pregnancy. Also is your uterus nice and thick for implantation... etc., etc. All this one would not even think about until you have had a m/c or been TTC with no luck. It wouldn't hurt to find out if you can either get your levels tested and/or a sono to see whats going on. You can do it without making such a big deal about it to dh, cuz we know they can get uptight if we seem to be all into this TTC. Just say that regardless of getting pregnant or not, you want to know whats going on with your own body, etc. for your health. ANYHOW, Im not even saying to do this... just an option that may not hurt to look into. I went to my OB about this stuff just after my last loss just to see whats going on with my body. Not a big deal, she just ordered the test and we talked. Luckily I got a BFP before doing those test and maybe you will too. :) That is a good idea that your going to get a pap done and see the dr. As much as we want to conceive without help, sometimes it just takes a little for that added boost

Daniella - June 13th, 2006 7:13 PM

Tara- hey, did you call your OB to ask about what you seen? They say you should any time something comes out of ya. As far as being wet, totally normal during pregnancy, but this isn't your first so you know that. I had to wear a pad here and there during my pregnancy because of it. 2 of my other ones I didn't have to, but I did on my last. Im sure everything will be just fine. I know your on an emotional rollercoaster right now, but you gotta stay strong. When is your next appt.?? ALso, why can't you use the doppler too much?? It doesn't cause any harm what so ever.. not even a little.

Bee99 - June 13th, 2006 8:11 PM

TARA...I felt like I was leaking more this pregnancy than the others all the way through sometimes I would duck to the tiolet I was sure to find blood but nope just wet whatever it is/was.
Still seek information from meds though good luck too.
Dawn I guess it seems you have been tring for longer cos I know Iv been watching you real close and seem to be waiting for your BFP or a/f for longer than it has been.
It is sooooo cold here that I went to stat the washing maching at 9:50 am this morning and the water is frozen in the hose at least I hope thats what it is or my washing machine could sadly be FUBAR it has power I think I heard a trickle of water but not other sound..time will tell.

Daniella - June 13th, 2006 9:16 PM

Bee- Wow and to think that I woke up freezing also.. but due to hubby cranking up the air conditioning last night. lol.. Its so weird that we are basically in the same time zone yet complete opposite weather. hah.. Well, I have my dentist appt. to go to here shortly. Pretty nervous. No, not nervous of the dentist finishing my root canal, but nervous because this is the first time leaving the baby in the hands of someone other than hubby or mom. Honestly, I dont really trust this woman too much with him. She is kinda on the more wild side and has no children. The other day she came over and grabbed little John out of the bassinet without asking and the way she held him made me very nervous. BUT, I don't have anyone else here to watch him. Day care has a year waiting list. No joke!! In fact, when your on the waiting list, you have to call every 3 months to stay on it. Doesn't matter anyhow, because they dont take any babies under 6 weeks and he isnt quite 6 weeks yet. But if I dont get my tooth fixed now then they will probably pull it. So, I have to just pray this woman is OK with the baby. I am going to make sure he is fed, clean and tired right as my appt. comes time so that she only has to watch a sleeping baby in the carseat. She will be in the lobby with me, but I really dont want her to have to do anything with him. Sounds bad, especially since shes my good friend here, but just not so good with kids. I just hope the tooth doesnt take too long. Its amazing at how attached we get to our babies. I never really understood until I lost the ones and have this one. Your pretty much attached from the moment you get a BFP, much less here the heartbeat for the first time or to the birth. It seems that as time goes by I keep getting more and more attached to this little guy. So, your worries only get worse after each milestone from making it to 6 weeks, to 12 weeks to the 3rd trimester, etc., etc. I prayed to make it to 12 weeks, then I prayed to make it to the 3rd trimester, then I prayed to have a healthy birth... Gosh, motherhood is never ending. I sure hope and pray the wonderful gals here that are TTC right now get blessed very soon!!!!

Bee99 - June 13th, 2006 9:36 PM

Yea its weird which way does you tiolet flush then? Well my washing machine is woeking I heard some Mums at the school say their hot water systems froze up also I dont wash in hot and my hot water is demand I have things on the wall to turn down the hot actually I think its a law that all houses built have it ours was put in b4 we bought it the house is old though.

Daniella - June 13th, 2006 10:40 PM

Bee- the toilet flushes down.. lol.. naw, jk. hehe.. seriously though a lot of older jap. houses have a urinal thing for their toilet. Like one you would see in a guys restroom, but on the ground. Our toilet is normal western style, flusher is on the right.. but, the top has a little fountain thing that water comes out so you can wash your hands. Hard to describe. We also have the water heater boxes on the walls. lol.. I have my shower set at 41 right now. My guest always turn it down. What can I say, I love hot showers. Forget the baths, still cant figure this thing out. lol.. its circulating water so cant even use soap. So, you wash in the shower and bathe in the bath. Anyhow, leaving now for my appt. :(

Bee99 - June 14th, 2006 7:11 AM

LOL..flusher you mean the button that flushes? I was woundering if the water went clock ways or anti clockways.. aust is different to the states like our seasons.

Tara S - June 14th, 2006 11:46 AM

Hi ladies, well I have more of that yucky stuff coming out of me, but now its green, so Im thinking I have some type of vaginal infection. I can't get into see my doctor until tomorrow afternoon. I am a tiny bit itchy down there as well. I have never had this before . I just don't know where all this mucus is coming from.

LeraeAllyn - June 14th, 2006 1:54 PM

DANIELLA - Yes, there are many many factors that must be working just right to make a handsome baby like Little John. I am hoping by combining the methods I have been (Saliva Scope, OPK and now taking my BBT each morning) I will be able to determine if I am ovulating. The OPK will tell me that I am having the LH surge and a temperature rise following that is an indication that ovulation has occured. I think it may just still be too soon especially since my Jan/Feb cycles were still a little whacky. I will see what June brings, keep doing what I am doing and then discuss things further with my doctor in July and see what she suggests if I am not pregnant by then. BEE - Thanks for keeping such a close eye on me. It does seem like forever that is for sure but it really hasn't been. Raising a child will be a true test of patience so I guess I should hone my skills now while TTC, right. CBELLA - I am trying to keep a positive attitude although it does go by the wayside a little each time a/f comes. But that is only normal right - we all have the right to be disappointed when our efforts do not work. At least tonight I can have a couple beers for a welcome home party I am attending. Friends that have been in New Zealand for the last year. What a spectacular place that is. Dawn

Helene - June 14th, 2006 2:02 PM

Hi, ladies! I haven't been on in ages becaue I have been running crazy with end of year school stuff.I read through the posts a few times, but haven't had time to respond (that is what happens when you get so far behind - by the time you finish reading, you hav eno time left to post!). FIrst off, Coda -Take it easy hon - lket your twin help you out as much as possible. I hope that everything turns out okay. My freind's sister just had a little girl an she had developed HBP in the last two months so they monitored her throughout and were going to inuce her or have a c-section but I guess things looked fairly good so she delivered naturally at her own pace. She's the one who had the 24 " 10 lb. I have you in my thought s and prayers. That is so cute how Rouge responds to Troy's touch. He is going to be a litle footballer! (see I am getting beter at my UK speak - I didn't say soccer player!). Tara - Is ther a foul odor? I once had a discharge (years before p/g) and it had a grenish yellow tinge and a foul odor. It was an infection. DOc (not my reg doc)insisted it was an STD which freaked me out as dh and I had just strtade dating and the guy implied that he was cheating on me. I looked up and discovered that another way you could get this was if any fecal matter had gottten into that area. I told this to my reg doc and explained about the whole IBS thing (that was acting up horribly around that time ) and she agreed that it was possible that during one of my messier attacks some had accidentally gotten into the vaginal area. Either way - make sure they take you in tomorrow. I am surprised they didn't try to squeeze you in. Okay, my next class is here so I have to go! I will write more later. Oh just quick - CBella - hey yeah - another teacher AND cheer coach! How funny!

LeraeAllyn - June 14th, 2006 2:38 PM

HELENE - Nice to hear from you. Hope your end of year wrap up is complete soon so you can take a breather :-) Hey, anyone heard from B&K's Mom?????? Wonder what is up with her these days.
Dawn

Tara S - June 14th, 2006 4:28 PM

I have to ask a very stupid question. Today i took two different brand Hpt because worried that something was wrong with baby after having weird discharge. Well they were lighter then two weeks ago. Should I be concerned? Two weeks ago they were very strong lines and today they were rather faint compared to before. I guess Im just a nervous wreck, but I thought they should be dark like before.
