LOL Dawn. Have fun with your massage (wait, you'll be done by the time you read this) so, hope you had a good time!! Did you convince dh to go?? Also, maybe you should talk to your boss about that ladies perfume, that isn't healthy for the work environment. Sounds silly, but it really isn't. Good thing she doesn't work next to me, lol.. I'd set her straight. haha.. jk. but seriously, I wouldn't let that fly. |

Hi! DOc appt was good - baby's heartbeat is 145 bpm and I gained 1/2 lb so we must be getting some nutrition there! I am feeling better - still pukish in morning but it is tolerable. Doc said not to freak out over the sleeping. Just turn back n my side when I wake up. He said sleeping propped up was okay which is actually how I normally sleep due to the disc (flat on my back is not so good when you have a bad back). ACtually I have found that lying on my side helps not only heartburn but nausea and exhustion at times, too. They are probably going to do just a regular u/s next Tuesday when they do the amnio because he said it is probblay too early to do the big one, and they will just do that one a few weeks later. But he said if the tech can see enough, they might just do it all then (I will be 18 1/2 weeks at that point). Daniella - yeah, I tried a few versions of veggies, grilled, fried, raw, steamed, slathered in butter or cheese and no go - usually the sight and smell alone made me ill - sometimes just teh thought!. The green beans were a big victory and I had eggplant parmigiana yesterday but that weirdly enough I was able to have one other time (maybe because I breaded it). SO I think the veggie thing is shaping up. I was getting tired of just pppers and carrots and tomatoes, already. Bee - whenever you tell your stories I just LMAO and wish I was hearing you tell it in person because something tells me you are even funnier than you already are when you write. I still crack up at the story of your daughter yelling at the doctor to not hurt Coco! Dawn - hope your massage was awesome! Don't take this the wrong way, but now that you are :"over 35" you could technically ask them to discuss testing if you wanted. I would get a full check up though since you never had a pelvic exam aftert the m/c, before testing or anything. |

Helene- Thats great to hear about your apt. My little boys hb was always 160+ until the third trimester if finally got a little lower. I was monitored a lot because his heart rate kept going up. At one point it hit 199. I said I will freak out if it hits 200 and it almost did. One day it was sustaining at 185 bpm. They said he must be very active in there. LOL.. well, everything is perfect with his heart so who knows what that was all about. A very high % of babies are born with a heart murmur (usually it corrects itself shortly after birth) and I still have one to this day, BUT my little guy doesn't. No hole in the heart (my hubby was born with that) and no heart murmer. Perfect!! Guess he was just real active. ANYHOW.... Helene- you get the anatomy ultrasound between 18-20 weeks. So, you definitely will be far enough along for one and will just have to go back the next week for it if you dont get it done next Tuesday with the amnio. BUT HEY, upside is at least you'll get 2 scans then. hehe.. Your insurance covers it, right?? So, that would be neat. Although they should know the sex on the anatomy scan, you will now have 2 to double check. lol |

Hi ladies, I havent been on in a few days because my daughter has an ear infection. Helene, When you had a vaginal infection did you have lots of discharge and sometimes clumpy? Mine is green and dark yellow and sometimes when it dries it has a brown appearance. Im changing my pad all the time. I don't have a foul smell , its actually smells more like a yeast infection. I find out results tomorrow from my vaginal swab. Danielle, Im not on progesterone, doctor didn't think I needed it . I sometimes wonder if thats what was wrong with my first miscarriage. I wish my doctor would have checked my progesterone levels, I guess it might be too late to take supplements anyways. I just have to pray everything is ok and Im just being paranoid in this pregnancy. Coda, Im sorry that you have to go through so much in your pregnancy, but it will be all worth it in the end. I did something big tonite. I gave in and ordered a doppler, I was putting it off because I didn't want to jinx my pregnancy (I know I sound crazy). I really enjoyed my doppler with Treya, I listened to her everyday from 10 weeks until I had to deliver her early at 18 weeks. I really wish I could have recorded her sweet heartbeat, because I miss it so much. Im hoping it will be here by the end of the week. Did any of you get acne with your pregnancies? I look like a teenager. I usually don't have a problem with acne. I really don't feel sexy with zits on my face and leaking green stuff from my vagina. Well take care everyone! |

Tara- what did your doctor say about the discharge? Did she swab it for a yeast infection>? you may have a bacterial AND yeast infection together. Hey, when it rains, it pours. I am having a yellowish tink color discharge also that I am going to have my doctor test at my post pardum apt. even though its probably just the crap in me still coming out from when I gave birth, it doesn't hurt to have it checked. I have to get a pap done anyhow which is procedure 6 weeks after giving birth. I'm going to ask about birth control also. My hubby and I agreed that we'll try again on JD's 1st birthday. That would be perfect timing for when the next one is due. We'll be back in the states and settled down. (this is all of course if we can have another baby). The only sad part is, I got pregnant in May on my last loss that the heartbeat stopped in July. That baby would have been due in Feb. So, if I get pregnant around JD's 1st birthday, the due date would be in Feb. again. :( You know, last year I found out I was pregnant the day before Fathers Day. I couldn't wait the next day to tell my hubby, so I sent him an E-card (he was deployed) for Fathers Day saying, "I know its not Fathers Day yet, but your going to be one" So, even though I did give birth to my awesome miracle son, this time a year is pretty sad on me right now. Hubby is gone right now watching outside North Korea, being home all alone, this time last year with the loss an all. Anyhow, enough about me... __Tara- thats great about the doppler. My hubby gave me the bebe sound thing (the cheap one from like walmart) and it was a complete waste of money. I couldn't even hear the heartbeat the week I was due. You could hear all the noise in the other rooms, outside and heck even in the neighbors house, LOL.. but not the damn heartbeat. LOL.. I could hear my own heartbeat but not the babies. So, I kinda wish I rented or bought the more expensive one that even showed how many beats per minute. on the screen. The same one the doctors use. ALSO TARA< how far are you exactly right now? and when is your due date?? |

DANIELLA - I am so sorry to hear about how down you are feeling :-( Almost made me cry reading that this morning. I think we will all mourn/dwell about our losses some. I have thought about the fact that I would have been home on maternity leave right now, allot. It is hard not to think about that stuff but just look at Little John and that should all melt away pretty quickly. He is so precious Daniella. So very precious. I love his little smile :-) My massage last night was very nice. I am definitely going back to see her again. Too bad my neck is already back in knots. Working at a desk really does a number on your body. I told my massage therapist last night about my TTC and the first thing she asked was if I was aware of the tremendous success woman have had conceiving after working with this man who does accupunture there? I told her it is definitely something I might explore in the future if all else fails us. I am very intrigued by alternative medicine. Especially after working with our friend who does energy work. No joke, she is doing something to you. Anyway. CODA - Glad all is going well for you. Big baby, you can handle it. Heck, my nephew was 10lb 14oz and 23.5 inches long. THAT is a big baby. YOWZA.... HELENE - Glad that you are feeling better and only slightly pukey these days. Sounds like your appt went well and you are on the right track. I know you are concerned about eating enough veggies but you have to remember that your baby is going to take what it needs. The sister of a good friend of mine LIVED on chunk food - drive thru - Krispy Cream donuts, you name it. She gained 70lbs but her kid was healthy as can be. You and baby will be fine. I forget, are you going to find out the sex? Also, what is your due date? I have to jot this stuff down. As for me, hopefully the end of this week and into next will be prime time again. Not really seeing any signs yet. I got just a 7 pack of OPK tests this time so I am waiting to start using those until it is closer to when I have gotten the surge the last 5 cycles. Today is CD11 and I think I will start on the OPK tests this weekend. Wish me luck - Dawn |

Danielle, Im still waiting for doctor to phone with results from Vaginal swab. I think I have both yeast and bacteria infection. I should be 10 weeks 1 day, but if you go by my ultrasounds Im 9 weeks 3 days. The doppler I rented is the same the doctors use and can even pick up heartbeat as early as 8 weeks. I can't wait to get it, I ordered one with heartrate display. The one I had with Treya I had to count the heartbeats and that was difficult when they beat so fast.. It took me 4 hours to find Treya's the first time and I was so relieved to find it, but it was so quiet and theres so many noises in there it makes it so hard. I heard they can be bad if you over use them. I guess it can affect hearing, but theres not a lot of research to prove that they are harmful. Ill limit my use to minimal, just in case. Daniella, I had my daughter in July and waited until she was a year to try again and around her 1 st birthday I got pregnant with my son and had him in April. They are 20 months apart and sometimes they play together so well and other times they fight. Since having two wonderful first pregnancies, I have had a hard time having another, so Im happy that I had them and they have each other. I only ever wanted three children, so if I have this little one Im carrying right now, Im done. I think Helene is having a girl I just have this feeling when I picture her that shes carrying a girl. When I had my daughter everyone said it was a boy including the doctor after an ultrasound. it was really cool when she was a girl and suprised all of us. I only took blue to the hospital. my due date is Jan 15. If I have a cesarean it will be booked a week earlier. I havent even thought that far ahead as to if Im going vaginally or cesarean, I just want to make it out of first trimester and all my ultrasounds with no problems. take care everyone! |

Tara- why in the heck would you have/want a c-section?? Also, dont worry about a doppler harming your baby. There is nothing in a doppler that is going to do it. Its just like a high tech stethoscope. Heck, there really isn't any data that ultrasounds can harm an unborn child. NONE!! So, don't worry there. So, your almost 10 weeks... well, thats great!! You only have 2 more weeks to go to hit that major milestone. At 12 weeks the fetus makes its own hormones. Tara, I am sure everything will work out and this is probably another girl you have. :) |

___Dawn- I know you believe in that woman who does energy work... but, if it worked you would be pregnant now, eh!? you did see her right?? Well, I honestly think that you dont need any of that.. maybe the only thing you need is just to go talk to your OB and check into your options. Is there a reason your avoiding your doctor?? Of course we would all love to TTC without ever seeing a doctor before the BFP, but if your not having luck it could be something REAL small that only would take a simple test and maybe a supplement. No big deal!! I know right before I conceived JD, my doctor said, "I am going to MAKE you pregnant" SHe had all the test lined up and everything. I got the BFP right before I got to do the test, so I never even got that far. So, maybe if your doctor lines up some test for you, you will get that BFP right before as well.... like your body saying, "hah, I'm going to show you!" lol... It wouldn't hurt to look into it at all. I know you keep wanting to wait to see if this is the month, etc., etc., each month, but even aside from TTC, it wouldn't hurt to see whats going on with your body that you cant by using OPK's, tracking fertility, scopes, books, etc. There is only so much we woman can do without the help of a doctor. I would definitely see one before going to acupuncture, etc. You may find out whats wrong and think to yourself how you wasted months of trying and if only you went sooner. Dawn, thanks for the compliment on JD. :) I know you will have a gorgeous baby as well. You and your dh look so great together and will also make a very precious little baby. :) |

Helene- Part 6?? |

Daniella, believe me i really don't want the cesarean. I had my first vaginally and I pushed three hours and tried the vacume she finally came out with the vacume. They told me that my pelvis was too small and she should have been a cesarean, but it was a wonderful experience and healing was good afterwards. My son was the problem after being in labor for hours I had to have a cesarean, because my pelvis was way too small for my big boy.My son was 8Ibs and I was told anything over 6 Ibs would be hard for me to deliver. It took along time to heal and I hated that I couldent hold him right away. I know my doctor will push for the cesarean, but I hoping to get another chance at a vaginal birth. I really don't mind labor, Its not that bad for me, I know some women have it really hard. |

Tara- go for VBAC. The success rate is extremely high. The reason most doctors say nope to it is because its so much easier to just cut you open on a schedule then not know when you come in and how long you'll be in labor for, etc. PLUS they get more money for it. Those 2 reasons sound bad, but its the Gods honest truth. If your dr. wont even be open to a vbac then scare him into saying you'll switch doctors. There are A LOT out there now that will do it, or at least try their very hardest. |
