Goodmorning Ladies - Helene, sorry your birthday was uneventful. I agree about waiting to go out for a nice dinner until you can really enjoy it though. Nothing worse then not liking your food. I have a freind (with 4 kids) who never knew what she would be able to eat. Usually she would order and then not be able to stomach it - What a pain in the drain that would be. I guess it helps you keep your weight gain to a minimum but no thanks. Yep - I am waiting until a week from today, af should be here by then based on the OPK strips. I mentioned I got the book at the library right? Well I zipped thru it this weekend and brought it in today to photo copy the chart out of the back. Had to do that 1st thing here while no one was roaming around to see what the hell I was doing at the copier and what book I have. UGH! No one here knows about this at all. Well, one woman does and that is it but I have not been sharing anything new with her. I have been taking my temp and it has been higher but it did not jump above 98 until well after I think I ovulated so who knows. The book is excellen though. Had a few laughs reading it too. For now - Dawn |

hi gurls...well got back yesredrday after celebration weekend(1st Anniversary) We really wooped it up in CT...went to Stonington and it wsas sooo pretty and ate at Noah's. Lost somebuxx at the casinos and had my share of dirty martinis! Have dreaded appt todayat specialist, my dh is afraid to hear bad news, but, I keep assuring hime we are just going for a consult. i dont know what to expect, just sitting and goin over history etc and hearing some options for future precautions to take. I also thinkIK am ovulating now (ewcm) but, guess we wanna wait to see the doc today. I just want to hear...just take this little pill and get pregnant again andall will be okay...but, I know that won't be the case. I don't know how involved we want to go with crazy extensive testing at the moment...UGH I just wish this would be easier!! Glad to hear all is well with everyone, where's Daniella? popping out that baby boy of hers? |

Hi there! Dawn - yeah it is a great book, and pretty funny, too. I think my favorite anecdote was about the couple who used the actual egg whites as a lubricant. Christie - glad you had so much fun. Yeah, I know what you mean - it woul dbe so nice to just gete a magic pill that made it all happen perfectly. MY friend just told me she has PCOS and that she will be trying this summer. She said, tha is if I can get p/g, and I told her that I knew someon who had already gotten p/g twice so it is possible - just that you were having a hard time staying p/g. SHe already said taht she will be considered a high risk p/g which suprised me, because I didn't know they automatically assigned you that when you have PCOS. Did your doc's say that to you? I wonder why they said taht already. Anyway, good luck with your appt. I will check my e-mails when I get home to see if Daniella is MIA for the reason we hope! |

CHRISTIE - See, sounds like you had a great anniversary weekend. And to think you were worried you would not have any fun. Sounds like a great time. Good luck with your appt today. Just be prepared with the questions you want to ask and have a pad of paper to take notes. Good your DH is going too since it is always good to have two sets of ears for these kind of things. Keep us posted. HELENE -- Yes that story was pretty funny or the one about the ewcm being 10 inches long and her telling them to get off the phone with her and get busy. Later in the book they showed a photo of it and it reminded me of the movie Big Daddy when the kids spits and it hits the ground and then he sucks it back up - Ha Ha eewwww..... Dawn |

Hello all....sorry it's been so long, but I started a new job last week. Everything is going fine and my next appt is friday. Helene...I completely agree. My dh keeps wanting to go out to dinner somewhere nice, but I tell him that I don't want to feel like we wasted $$ if I end up sharing my dinner with the toilet bowl...LOL!!! Will post more later.....the baby just woke up from her nap. |

Hey all... just have been pretty darn busy. Still read everything everyone has posted each day, yet not much to add. I just keep my fingers crossed for all the ones that just hit ovulation, that it took this time around. We have all been TTC here at one point and so far have had good news here and there and about time we get some more. What.. first myself, then Bee, then Coda, then Helene....... with being able to keep the new pregnancies. So, its definitely time we hear another. HEHEHE!!! Today is my appt. She is actually going to sweep my membranes today (I hope! what she said last week). So, lets hope it works and I give birth within 48 hours after that. Hey, maybe as I give birth, someone here will conceive. That would be great!!! ___Bee- how you holding up?? Man, I have been feeling pretty darn crummy. My whole hands, face and feet have swelled up so bad the past week. I feel like I got punched in the face or something. My lips feel like angelina jolies. LOL... Gosh, this baby needs to come. I had a pretty easy pregnancy thus far, and now the past couple weeks it has been the absolute worst. Thank God hubby has been so wonderful lately. Anyhow, I gotta get going. Apt. in 2 hours from right now. Wish me luck!! :) |

Hooray, Daniella!! Good luck - I soooo hope this works for you. In fact, you must be at your appt as I write this so I'm sending good vibes - hope they make it al the way around the globe. :) Dawn and Helene - I know those anecdotes and esp. that egg white one - I've been thinking a lot about that because I'm so paranoid that I haven't had any ewcm since Jan. If I didn't ever get it and I needed some - I think I'd stoop to the egg white factor - but don't think I'd divulge to dh. He's be too grossed out and one grossed out person is enough. Helene- how nice to have a low key birthday. I never thought I'd see the day when I just wanted to be quiet and not whoop it up. But there you have it. How are you feeling lately? Still nauseated? Have you heard of preggie pops? Christie - so glad you made it to Stonington and enjoyed it. I think it's beautiful and I feel really lucky to have grown up there - what a great place to spend your anniversary, too. No news here - just waiting to get fertile again. Sometimes it feels like forever. Hope everyone is well. |

Well just got home from my apt. Some how it got scheduled for a different doctor. Thats OK though, because the doctor I seen today is my fav. out of the 4 here (well 3 docs, 1 midwife). They were kinda concerned because my uterus is measuring smaller. Last week it measured a week smaller and now its even less than last week. I measured at 36 weeks today. So, they were a bit concerned that he's no longer growing. Hopefully the cord isn't around his neck. Doubt it since his head is engaged, but you never know. Anyhow, this doctor had no problem sweeping my membranes. He told me he would have definitely done it last week. Gosh, I wish I had him last week and not my regular doc. LOL... There is 3 doctors here... One female (my doctor and very young and new).... a fruit cake doctor (also young and definitely gay and he floats, lol)... and this doctor I seen today. He is the oldest of the 3 and gets down to the point, yet extremely nice. The other one here is a midwife that has been for 30 years. She is great... but, I just met her and didn't really even know we had a midwife until recently, so its a bit too late now to have her. ANYHOW...... the doctor I seen today said he usually does the membrane sweeping at 38 weeks, but even does it at 37 weeks. The only reason I think my doctor waits until 39 weeks is because she is still new and doesn't want to take any risks. Anyhow, it wasn't as bad as some women make it out to be. A little uncomfortable, but not crying pain. He said the membranes were so thick that he had a rough time sweeping them off the sac and that is probably why I haven't gone into labor yet. Guess with good nutrition, etc. your sac and membranes get pretty thick. Well, he said that I should go into labor within 24-48 hours. Gosh, I sure hope so!!!! |

DANIELLA --- Glad to hear your appt went well and that your baby boy may be on the way soon :-) How exciting. Did you get your crib yet? Do you have a bassinet for the time being? What a drag having to wait that long to get something. I would go nuts since I like to have stuff NOW!!!! Ha Ha BEE & CODA, thanks for the well wishes. I am doing pretty good this time with the waiting. I guess a few months of being too impatient and then disappointed when I tested too early taught me a lesson. I have started my first fertility chart for this month. Pretty much just my temp since my a/f ended and my OPK results. not doing the cervical fluid checks or anything yet. With any luck I will be PG and not have to continue this new thing. HELENE -- How high did your temp stay after you got pg for those 18 days? Mine is higher (above 98) but the last couple days it went down some and I have woke up early the last two days too - UGH not sure what is up with that at all. Dawn |

hi ladies, had appt yesterday...going to do some blood tests for me and my dh. And, when I get AF or a BFP I am to call him to monitor everything every 48 hrs. He also mentioned something about doing a saline vaginal u/s to see if my uterus is a normal shape. I guess right now he is trying to rule out the top 15 common causes of m/c's. And, he also said "there could be nothing wrong, just happenstance" So, let the journey begin. I am getting wierd feelings lately though..bbs fell bigger, lots of gas and a wierd taste in my mouth. The md said to hpt next week as my lmp was 4/6 and even tho my last cycle was 12 weeks long after the d and c he wants to assume it is 31 days because thats what it was before the last 2 pregnancies. Oh, and he also said that he didn't consider me symptomatic of pcos or that this is a fertility problem because we concieved twice in 4 cycles. So, that was somewhat of a consolation. So, in the meantime, I will have the blood tests and wait fer either AF or a BFP. I guess there wil NEVER be any definitive answers! Ugh, sooo frustrating. tata for now... |

Christi- how was that a bad appt.?? Its sounds like a great appt. and that your doctor is on top of things. That is so wonderful. As far as the pcos thing... yea, thats what I was saying.. its not even a big deal to fix if it was a problem. So, that is good to hear!! Is he going to run test after AF starts?? Like day 3 of AF, maybe day 7 of AF and day 16 or so of AF to see if ovulation occured?? Well, good luck with all this and heck... maybe you will end up like me... having all these test scheduled and before I got to do any of them, I had a BFP. LOL... So, I never had to do them. You never know!!! If not, well.. at least you have a great doc that is getting down to business. Good luck!!! ____Dawn- I think Helenes temp stayed up for 18 days and thats what gave her indication of possible conception if I remember correctly. I know others who did the temp thing said that your temp should stay high. As far as the crib and changing table... we just found out yesterday that it will be here in one week. Yeah!!! In the meantime we have the pack and play set up where the crib will be, and we have a bassinet in our bedroom. So, we definitely have other methods, just wanted the room complete an all before baby came. My parents get out here next Thursday. I am so excited, but I feel like I have to do so much to get ready for company (family). Even though we keep our house spotless clean, I feel like its still not good for company. LOL... My hubby thinks I'm nuts, but maybe is the nesting right now. hehe... ___Coda- do you know that 98% of pre-eclampsia/hypertension can be fixed by a good diet?!?!? So many doctors say that the cause is unknown... thats only because there hasn't been much research into it. That book that I was talking about "INA MAY'S guide to CHILDBIRTH" by Ina May Gaskin, is wonderful and I think you would like it also. Especially since you are going with a midwife. Its not for only women in the US. People all over the world read this book. She is the #1 widwife world wide. I think you would get so much wonderful information from this book. :) ___Helene- Hey, my appetite never increased until the baby dropped. Just a few weeks ago is the first time that I have slurged my diet. LOL... Eating worse (sorry to admit, lol) and eating more. Yet, up until the last few weeks, I never got weird cravings or eat more than normal. In fact, probably less since I ate more frequent meals. Each person and each pregnancy is different.... so, you may just eat normal. I think too many woman use eating "more" as an excuse when pregnant. Usually to feed their feelings. Now, of course some woman actually do get more hungry, yet... still shouldn't let their diet turn to crap, especially since what you eat goes to the baby. :) |

Whoops... Christi- I read that wrong. Sorry!!! I thought you said, bad appt. NOT had appt. LOL>> sorry bout that! |

Coda..Yea 9lb I cringe at the thought although I dont remember Mum saying she had trouble she was 5" even actually I was the smallest and caused the most troubles. Daniella did ypu get any pains after/since the sweeping?. |
||
|
||
|
Bee- I am a little crampy and more of that glob stuff (the mucus plug crap) has been coming out more... more pink and brown... but, that is about it. Not really that painful. Its just like getting a regular internal exam but they go in a bit deeper and sweep the sac off the cervix, so its a little tugging feeling, real fast and then its done. Not bad like some woman say. You feel a little crampy right after and the next day... but, your not in pain to cry or anything that bad at all. In fact I am running around the house today trying to get some things together. I just wish it works. Do they offer it for you? |
