Bee- I am a little crampy and more of that glob stuff (the mucus plug crap) has been coming out more... more pink and brown... but, that is about it. Not really that painful. Its just like getting a regular internal exam but they go in a bit deeper and sweep the sac off the cervix, so its a little tugging feeling, real fast and then its done. Not bad like some woman say. You feel a little crampy right after and the next day... but, your not in pain to cry or anything that bad at all. In fact I am running around the house today trying to get some things together. I just wish it works. Do they offer it for you?

coda - May 3rd, 2006 12:56 AM

yeah it can be controlled by diet i take no salt or caffine have not done because my mum has high blood pressure but hers is real bad and is on 3 kinds of tablets she is also the fittest person i know just genetics . i am not worryed about it all just another thing i have delt with for yrs so its not pregnancy induced it was a pre excisting thing like my irrigular heat beat had that since i was a baby

Daniella - May 3rd, 2006 1:09 AM

Coda- Yup! Thats what they look at.. if you didn't have it before you got pregnant and do now. If its pre-existing.. then, you know its not pregnancy hypertention. Thats good!! I'm sure you will be just fine!! My parents have HORRIBLE blood pressure and take meds. yet none of us children do. My moms blood pressure is like 185/110. and even gets above 200. She isn't a big woman at all and doesn't look like she has any problems. Yet, she scares the crap out of doctors. Probably because she drinks a lot of coffee and she smokes. My father doesn't drink coffee, doesn't drink alcohol and doesn't smoke, yet he is also on meds. Oh, my mom also does take in a lot of salt. I dunno, I think just do the best you can with diet and exercise and then you can't say it was because of that, ya know! I used to have pretty low blood pressure. Until recently its normal now (which is high for me) but not for the doctors. Its been like 130/74 lately. Mine is usually 119/67 or so. Last week at my dr. apt my bp was at 160/90, so they took my blood and urine to check for protein and all came back normal and my bp also went down after about 20 minutes there. I said, it was probably high because I have this huge belly and I am huffing it up to the clinic. LOL... they laughed and said thats why they check you again later on.

Daniella - May 3rd, 2006 1:12 AM

Ouch... as I just typed and sent that, my mom IMed me on the computer. I asked her... and she said that her bp used to be 225/130 for almost 5 years until the recent meds they have now. Now its under 200. Gosh, and I thought hitting 160 was bad. LOL

coda - May 3rd, 2006 3:42 AM

wow thats some impressive blood pressure :s my mums is crazy mines goes up and down 170/185 then the other day it was text book perfect 120/70 but my heart beat was very arattic yesterday when i was at school and i use to run cross country i sometimes felt like my heart was going to explode out of my cheast lol. hey i am not that unfit just seem to have loads of mini problems lmao.anyways for my bday troy suprised me and my twin with a day at the health spa soooo i feel so relaxed and ack free i had the bautiful mother package mmmmmmmm massage. the spa had a heated pool, that was lovley. suna steamroom(which i never used ) not good for pregnancy or bloodpressure. i kinda agree with u danellia u cant eat mountins of food i eat less now than i did b4 which has to be a good thing but i have not become obbsessive about it or even think too much about it as i do have a history of yoyo dieting and i can become quite obsessive which is not healthy for baby or me . she has been kicking lots she is getting quite strong too!!

Daniella - May 3rd, 2006 3:47 AM

Coda- yea, just wait until you hit 3rd trimester and then almost birth... they only get stronger. LOL. :) Well, that is wonderful that you got some relaxation in. How nice!!! I know a few of us here really need that about now!!

LeraeAllyn - May 3rd, 2006 10:38 AM

Goodmorning Ladies -- Looks like Coda and Daniella are back to their old tricks posting allot :-) Sounds like you are both doing well. DANIELLA - great news about the crib and changing table arriving in a week. You will get that and your parents at the same time. I am sure your home is just fine for company. Do not stress yourself out over it being perfect. Besides, once that baby comes you will have even less time to worry about that stuff. CODA -- When is your due date? So get this, my neighbor and I are on the same cycle for this month. We are both waiting until next week to see if we get a BFP. It would be soooo cool if we both are pg at the same time. Dawn

Bee99 - May 3rd, 2006 6:18 PM

Dawn Im wishing you soo much luck for next weeks testing what day is af due?
No updatea here my next appointment is Monday.

Daniella - May 3rd, 2006 6:26 PM

Bee- are they going to sweep your membranes?? Also, for all you girls wondering about TTC right after M/C... I am living proof that when the body is ready it will!!! When I had my membranes stripped 2 days ago they said my amnio sac was extremely tough. More healthy than most women they see. Well, I got pregnant without having a period in between (and even after a D&C) and my uterus, sac, etc. is real nice and healthy. Reason why I didn't end up going into preterm labor. So, take your vitamins, eat good, take care of yourself, etc. and you should be OK. The female body is pretty darn strong!!! I thought that my body was fragile, etc. since the last lost. Well, cant be further from the truth as it proves right now. I am on almost the 48 hour mark that the doctor gave me to go into labor after the membrane stripping because my amnio sac is just real tough. :) ___Dawn- that would be so neat!! Gosh, I sure hope as I give birth to this little guy, there is some BFP here!! Gotta keep it going!!! Good luck!!!

Christi2006 - May 3rd, 2006 7:34 PM

Daniella~ yes, i believe the doc requested me to call either when I get AF or a BFP because he will test me at different points of my cycle(hormones and ovulation etc) when i get AF. I was just thinkin before that I remember when you reported your BFP!!! And, now here you are, about to pop out that lil boy of yours! Times flies..WHEN your not waiting for something!! Like testing or the 1st trimester to pass etc!

Bee99 - May 3rd, 2006 7:45 PM

No he wont do anything like that actually its not that common here I think they either let you go or induce..(or ceaser) all my birthe Iv had to have my waters brobe with no# 2 they waited so long it was a busy hospital if I had been able to stay at my home town hospital they would have done it hours earlier..we believe. So anyway when they went to brake my water they said her head was wedged up against it.

coda - May 3rd, 2006 9:14 PM

dawn i am due on the 8th of sept. 22 weeks tomorrow. lol i remember when danelia and bee were at this point were has time gone.oh yeah forgot to say we bought all the baby furniture last weekend and a leather rocking chair for me to breast feed in ..... i think troy will claim it thou!!

LeraeAllyn - May 4th, 2006 9:23 AM

BEE - Thank you for the well wishes for next week. If this cycle follows the same pattern as the last few, based on my OPK results I should be getting a/f by next Monday. Tuesday at the very latest. We shall see. I remain hopeful although I can not say I am sensing any signs one way or the other. So Bee when are you due? CODA - I wrote down your due date so I can keep track. Thanks for the update. How exciting to pick out furniture and stuff. We decided just touse the crib that my niece and nephew had even though we probably would have picked out something a little different in style and color. We will invest in a new mattress though. It is just a crib and better to save money for other fun things like crib sets and valences :-) DANIELLA -- It is very encouraging to hear how healthy and strong everything has been with this pregnancy. Women are strong and our bodies do amazing things. I hope to hear that you have had your baby before I have to take my HPT. I will probably stop at the library this weekend just to check in on things again. Today I had my 4th morning in a row waking up early. Wish I knew why, it is annoying, I like my sleep too much. If I had to get up to pee I might be excited but it is not even that. HELENE - Where are you girl? Hope you are OK. Dawn

LeraeAllyn - May 4th, 2006 3:10 PM

Hi again - This has got to be the longest day in history. It is only 2:09 and I feel like I have been at work for 10 hours. Wish there was more action on here during the day. Anyway, have a good night everyone and I will be back in the morning. Dawn
