When TTC, Ive heard that if your temp remains elevated for more than 18 days its likely that you're pregnant. Does anyone know when your temperature normalizes again? I had a miscarriage in February.. and a + HPT last week, and have just been to the doctor yesterday. Im chronically worried about this baby because of the past miscarriage. My temp has been elevated for 28 days now, and now has dropped a little.. Is this normal?

Don't take your temp after you get your +hpt. I hear that your temp is not stable due to the hormones going crazy. You will only stress about them. Congratulations of your BFP, and a happy healthy pregnancy/9 months! Take care!

Oncemore is right - after you get you +HPT DO NOT keep taking your temperature as it will drive you insane. My LP was 18days anyway so as a rule that didn't work for me. Your temperatures will alter throughout the pregnancy and have rises and some deep dips so it is better not to keep looking at them. It doesn't 'normalise' until after delivery and even then it will be a bit weird for a few months with hormones still doing crazy things. I understand the worry, I had m/c in January at 14w4d and found out in April I was pregnant again and I am still nervous that something will go wrong with this pregnancy (11w5d today). Don't add more stress to an already stressful situation and try and relax and enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible. Congratulations!

Again...DO NOT TEMP after a positive test. Hormones will fluctuate and so will your temp. I about had a nervous breakdown doing this and my dr. told me to STOP! :-) Congrats on your pregnancy!!!
