Okay, So I have had 3 m/c in 11 months. Last time my HCG was back down to zero within 5 days of starting to bleed. I started to bleed 2 weeks ago and now I am ovulating again. I want to try again. When my doc's nurse called she said my HCG was back to zero and everything was good. But I requested an appt anyway and go to see my doc on Friday. But I am ovulating today/tomorrow and I want to know do you think it would be okay to try this time? I really don't want to give up and my insurance doesnt cover any infertility treatment. Should I try this time or wait and talk to my doc on Friday? I've called and left a message for my doc to call me back so i can ask him.

other than that...what kind of questions should I be asking my doctor?

Anyone else have recurrent m/c and go on to get pregnant with out help?

To add to my earlier post....I talked to the nurse and asked could we start trying again, she said it shouldn't be possible...then I told her that my ovulation strips said that I was starting to ovulate and she was really surprised but said go ahead that it wouldn't hurt anything if i were to get pregnant. I'm just super confused now....is it normal to ovulate right after a miscarriage? ((I started bleeding on 6/6 (3 days after my expected period) and my HCG was 5 then I stopped bleeding on 6/12 and my HCG was 0)) So what do you all think? Am I crazy or a freak of nature to be ovulating already!?

Usually you can ovulate as early as 2 weeks after a miscarriage especially if it was an early loss. I'm sorry you are going through this and YES you can get pregnant after recurrent loss. Have you had any testing done? When you see your doctor on Friday I'd ask him about testing for possible problems and if he doesn't seem informed of how to handle testing or doesn't seem up on doing it, then please go find another doctor. Also ask maybe for a referral to a RE who deals more with pregnancy issues and loss. I had several early losses and my insurance doesn't cover infertility treatments, but it does cover testing as a result of miscarriage, etc. Take advantage of this time after a loss to start investigating because your insurance should cover it. They usually won't cover things like IVF and IUI, etc. which is something you most likely won't need. It sounds like you get pregnant easily which was also the case with me and with that unfortunately comes the chance of more losses--the specialist I finally saw explained that to me and it makes sense if you look at it statistically. Anyways, this site is a valuable tool! Good luck :)

Thanks! I don't seem to have to much of a problem GETTING knocked up! LOL It's just STAYING that way that seems to be a problem! The first two times I wasn't even trying. And the third time was the first month I was trying and I used the OPK strips and got pregnant right away!
Did you end up carrying any children to term? What did they suggest for you?

I had 6 early losses in a row (3 were in the first trimester and 3 were chemical pregnancies which means I got a positive test and blood confirmation only to start bleeding days later, so those were VERY early) Anyways, I am currently just about 38 weeks pregnant with a baby girl! It's been a fairly uneventful pregnancy so far which is good but I've been and still am nervous a lot of it. I had lots of testing done of hormones, blood disorder, auto immune issues, etc. Only one thing was found for me (MTHFR) so this last time I begged to be put on whatever they could give me due to having a chemical pregnancy just the month prior and had a d&c 5 months prior. I was put on progesterone, took/take lots of vitamins along with baby aspirin and was put on Lovenox injections (blood thinner). I also did acupuncture. This is a lot of stuff that is probably not necessary for most (or maybe even for me, lol) but I wasn't about to go through that again! I just wondered if your doctor ever mentioned testing. Also, did you miscarry about the same time with all pregnancies? Often that is an indicator that something specific is going on other than random bad luck...

The first was about 6 weeks, the second at 5 and the third was abotu 4 and 3 days(a chemical pregnancy). My doctor hasn't said anything about testing, this last time I didn't even speak with my doc, just his nurse but I got so frustrated that I requested an appointment with him and we go on Friday morning. My husband wants answers as much as I do...I'm just afraid I am not going to get them. After the second one the doctor was like "this just happens sometimes..."! That's just not good enough for me. I think that my issue is with implantation since they are all so early. I am hoping he will agree to some testing on Friday. In the meantime...I'm ovulating so I'm going to try to get pregnant and see what happens. I have beenm thinking about acupuncture....I may try to make an appointment with someone. I have chronic headaches too so if nothing else I'll get the doc to say that the acupunture is for that and mayeb insurance will pay for it.
Congrats on your pregnancy! My sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on friday the 13th and I was there the whole time, i thought it would be hard but when I held my niece it seemed to make all the world's troubles melt away!
