So on July 18th i delivered at 19weeks. Because of placenta problems and baby measuring behind. Everything went well and the bleeding stopped after 2 weeks. Now i get a call from my ob's secretary for my followup appt. and she says that im to see this doctor i dont know, and then i asked what he specialized in. She said he was a surgeon.? huh...why do i need to see a surgeon...maybe a gentics counselor, or my OB!! its to tell me the results of the autopsy on the baby pretty much..do surgeons do that?? so confused and that office is closed till monday....weird

hmmm... my doc, OB/GYN told me my results. I called him two weeks after I delivered. Then at my 6 week check-up he went over the results again. I had an unexplained stillbirth. I think it's your doc who gonna see you b/c it was the doc's secretary who called you right? hmmm... maybe she was confused herself. Call back and ask who your meeting?

That is wierd! I still haven't been in to the dr. for my follow up appt. and it's been 6 weeks. She is so busy and then she went on vaca so I don't get to go until the 22nd which will be 8 weeks. We haven't heard anything about the autopsy either and hope that something is told to us at our appt. I think that your dr/s office made a mistake....I would call.

Squished... I would call your doctor for results. My doc told me to call him in 2 weeks for results. I didn't see him until 8 weeks post partum.

I know that my OB wanted to see me 2 weeks after my stillborn to make sure I wasn't suffering from loss plus post-partum, so it was all for emotional and mental health. I am not sure why you would have to see the surgeon unless it was an GYN/SURGEON? Maybe the secretary is just confused.

Do you think that maybe the surgeon wants to go over the pathology report to let you know what they found with the placenta? Have you found out anything yet?
