Lola, congrats to you!!! I know you are probably nervous but everything will be okay. It's hard with the 2 but you manage. How are you feeling? Keep me posted. Stacy, I am so sorry to hear your story. My levels were 17.5 but now I have 2 beautiful children. I suffered miscarriages and had to receive Lovenox injections in my stomach to have my babies. Hang in there and please know YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Kristine - November 12th, 2008 1:14 PM

Stacy, if you feel most comfortable with that doctor, I would pay out of pocket for the best service. I'm not too familiar with missed periods so maybe seeing a fertility specialist can't hurt even for a 2nd opinion.-Denise, I was hoping Nora would be early and be born on St. Pat's but she was right on time at 40 weeks. Do you see a chiropractor? I saw one a month ago or so and it did help with the sciatica but I haven't made the time to go back. It's my own fault. She specialized in pregnant women.

deniseb - November 12th, 2008 7:54 PM

Kristine- No I did not go to the Chiropractor, it's not bad enough for me to go. I find if I sit around and then get up it starts to hurt. So the more I move around the better it gets. Karen, hope all is well with you and the little ones...how is the baby doing now, is she sleeping for you?

Kristine - November 26th, 2008 1:38 PM

I just wanted to wish you and your families a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I am thankful for my miracle daughter Nora and to have you all as support throughout my difficult journey.

lola w - December 5th, 2008 12:38 PM

hi ladies., hope you are all feeling well and staying warm!! i'm still living in limbo (or so i feel) as i'm probably about 8.5 weeks along. we had another u/s on monday and baby looked good (a couple days smaller which is still weighing on me) and had a 140 hb. i can't remember what i told you (sorry...i can't remember anything anymore) but the second u/s at 6 week revealed two sacs and one was empty and the other had a hb! i'm more relaxed this time but i still worry and make myself nuts here and there. yesterday i freaked myself out since i was feeling good and i'm been feeling kinda yucky most days. today i'm back to somewhat yucky which isn't fun but makes me feel better mentally. i go for another u/s on the 17th which will be 10 or so weeks and see how things look. i wish i could do it everyday just to know....i can't believe there are no drive thru u/s places in this world!! ok..sorry for the silliness....just wanted to fill you all in on my stuff. i hope all of you are well and enjoying your little ones and little buns :) will talk more later..............bringing henry to see santa tomorrow. he likes looking at pics of sants but i'm guessing he's not really going to like the real thing :(

stacyr - December 5th, 2008 8:55 PM

LOLA - that drive through u/s sounds like something that would really catch on!!! I know if I ever can get pregnant again after all this I'm sure gunna want one everyday! good luck with the u/s! Happy thanksgiving to you too kristine. Have any of you been diagnosed with low estrogen? (apparently i'm ovulating - my body just isn't building up th lining) or been through a SHG test? They had found something inside from after the m/c and now because my periods not back - they're thinking scarring...I need to go for an SHG to find out what it is...Has anyone been through this? (scarring or SHG test?)

lola w - December 6th, 2008 8:48 AM

stacy- i had what i think was a hysteroscopy after my second mc (or maybe third) as i hadn't gotten my periods either. when the dr went in to look (had to poke through the cervix) she found a clot or stenosis which was blocking my cervix which was preventing me from having a period as the blood couldn't pass. we'd thought maybe scarring too and i was freaking out about it because i was reading too much online. turns out that is very rare and according to my re (who i later saw) if i had scarring, it would be treatable by him. try to stay postive. have you tried acupuncture? I swear by it and i know kristine had a great experience with it too.

stacyr - December 6th, 2008 12:06 PM

LOLA - thanks so much for the response - yes - I have been freaking out because of internet reading - I haven't tried acupuncture - actually because I had a really bad experience with it years ago - I went for stress points and it HURT me really bad - I had massages and creams after to recoup...I am defanitely opened to natural medicines - but scared of the acupuncture. I have heard so many things about doctors messing up that go to treat it - if in fact it is scarring - I don't even know where to start - Thanks so much for your story - it actually gives me hope. They had found something on the sonogram a little less than a month ago - (long story) they said was retained "conception materials" from the d & c, but my doctor wants to investigate more to be sure exactly what it is. Thanks again!

stacyr - December 6th, 2008 12:11 PM

One more question - had you had spotting with the clot? I have had LIGHT brown spotting at the time i'm supposed to get af for four months since the d & c...

julie2007 - December 13th, 2008 11:46 PM

hi ladies! long time ---- wow i can't believe how long it's been since i've been on here. i was thinking of all of you guys and wanting to wish all our preggies (denise kristine & lola) happy healthy pregnancies. can you guys update us on your # of weeks (or due dates) and how you're feeling etc. -- karen - how are you hanging in there? how's life with 2? you guys have to send me pix!! newmercedes at gmail dot com -- i have a friend who had to have a D&C today - for her 2nd m/c this year - and she was told earlier in the year that her FSH was 18 and then tested again and it was 13.5 and her OB told her she needed to use donor eggs to carry a successful pregnancy --- and i told her about all of you -- and she is amazed.
mind you i don't remember the specifics for everyone - but if you don't mind posting - i'd like to share your stories with her for some hope. did anyone do anything they swear worked to have a successful healthy pregnancy? i already told her i did acupuncture and supplements - but i am only 1 person - she'd love to hear more success. and i think it was karen who had the 17. something FHS -? right? ------------------ happy holidays to all of you -- i miss you guys and think of you often - i just have such little time to get on the computer. our update --- nicholas is now a half a year old (yesterday) and kayla is 3 -- they are the most amazing blessings i could have ever received. nicholas weighed in at his 6 mo check up at 18lbs and 27 inches. karen - how about caitlyn? ----------- do our preggies have names for their bundles yet? can't wait to hear from you guys -- wishing you the best! hugs -- julie

deniseb - December 14th, 2008 12:16 AM

Hey Julie, so good to hear from you. Delighted to hear all is well with the kids, you sound very happy. I am currently 27.5 weeks with a son, my due date is March 12th. No name as of yet..arghhh
I am feeling great, lots of energy and I am so thrilled to be pregnant again..I LOVE IT!
I am really sorry to hear about your friend, but I am sure it is comforting to know that you went through the same and went on to have a successful pregnancy. I had my FSH tested after my 5th loss and it was a little under 6, which is normal. I did not do anything different with this pregnancy, no medication or acupuncture. I guess luck played a huge part in all this. The only thing I can say that may have been different was my attitude. I had kind of accepted my situation and felt less depressed. I just think I got lucky. I had a doctor say to me once "brave women are always rewarded" it always stuck with me. I do think all the women on here are very brave, pregnancy loss is a very difficult thing and to keep trying loss after loss takes determination and guts. I wish your friend great success in the future, tell her to never give up. Take Care Julie. Big hello to all, Lola hope you are doing well and sailing through this first Tri. Kristine and Karen how are you guys?

lola w - December 17th, 2008 10:29 PM

Hi ladies. Quick update as I need to get myself to bed (Henry was up 3x last night...ugh!). Had another u/s today just to know how everything was going and all looks great! I'm still somewhat flabergasted! I'm over 10 weeks now and I got to see the little baby move and the arms and legs. I've been feeling like crap lately which has made me happy (sort of). I go back in a week and a half for the 12 week screening and blood draws. It's amazing that I've forgotten so many of the milestones. I'm nervous of course. Did any of you guys do an amnio or CVS? Let me know....I'm unsure of what to do. Good to hear from you Julie and Denise. Julie- I'm a huge proponent of acupuncture. Most everyone has heard me go on and on about this but I think it was the solution for me to have Henry. I haven't been keeping up with it although I wish I had the time and money to keep doing it. Stacy- I can't recall if I had spotting. It sounds familiar but I truly can't recall. Karen- are you getting any sleep? How are your peanuts :) Kristine- hope you're feeling great. Any updates? Wishing you all wonderful holidays....I can't believe it's really that time of year!

deniseb - December 18th, 2008 10:31 AM

Lola that is great news, what a relief eh? The first 12 weeks my doc did a US every week just to keep my anxiety level down, it was great. I had planned on doing the CVS and Amnio, but my doc kinda talked me out of it. He did the blood tests and anatomy scan first and felt if they seen any red flags then they would do the Amnio. I was all set to do it but he felt is was a risk for me and he did not want to take any chances. So we decided against it. I had a 3D scan done two weeks ago and all looked great. I am 28 weeks today Yayyyyy!
I am terriblly moody though, so sensitive and cry so easy. The hormones are raging I guess and the Holidays are making me feel anxious. It's very strange, not sure what's going on with me.

Kristine - December 19th, 2008 10:44 AM

Hello friends!!! I've been busy busy and sorry I haven't been on. Julie, I emailed you directly about your friend. Did you get it?-I love reading all your updates, we are all so blessed. I am 33 weeks along (will be 34 on Sunday). I have 44 days to go. Getting tired, sciatica acting up plus the heartburn. I've got some days off for the holidays and I'm looking forward to it. LOLA, congrats on your update! I was nervous for you. And, no I never had a CVS or amnio with either pregnancies. I was too scared. The 20 week u/s of the anatomy was normal so I am praying for the best. DENISE, your quote brought tears to my eyes. I never thought of it that way. Must be my hormones. lol----------Got to go, we are getting a winter storm and work is closing at noon. Perfect timing. I've still got Christmas shopping to finish! argh.

lola w - January 1st, 2009 11:40 AM

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had wonderful holidays with your families! I had my 12 week appt on Monday and all still looks good. They did the NT screen and the largest measurement was 1.44. I'm relieved but am now awaiting the blood results. I'm still battling nausea/morning sickness which has been way worse this time around. It's comforting but I'm over it now. Did any of you take Zofran? My dr gave me a prescr. but I havent filled it. I hate taking pills. Hope you are all feeling great!!!!!

deniseb - January 1st, 2009 1:40 PM

Hi Ladies, Happy New Year. Hope it's a prosperous and healthy one for all and your families. Lola, so happy to hear everything went well and you are now in the 2nd tri. I also had very bad morning sickness with this pregnancy, I did have it with my ds. I vomited pretty much all day long up to 12 weeks. I had nausea up to about 18 weeks and heartburn after that..arghhhhhhhhhh but it was always reassuring to me so I didn't mind after a while. You should be over the worst of it in the next week or so. I had my 30 week appoint yesterday and everything looked good. I can't believe I have 10 weeks left, I will miss noit having him inside me so I hope to cherish these next two months. I LOVE being pregnant. Big hello to all you gals!!!!
