Hello girls. Denise - let me start by saying that Im glad you are surrounded by good friends who are there to support you and celebrate your pregnancy. It is great that she volunteered to throw the shower and is being flexible with the time. It is unfortunate that you sister has behaved the way she has but dont let her and whatever her issue is take away from the joy of your pregnancy and the love and support of the friends who have come through for you. Does your doctor think you may go early? LB - it would be great to have another diet buddy. I have been sticking to a very strict diet over the last week. Cut out all simple carbs, sugar, bread pasta and have been trying to excercise about 30 min a day and so far Im down 8 lbs :-) I know that most of that is water weight but its always nice to see the scale move a bit. Jess - You look great. You always carry so perfectly. How are you doing with names? Cons - you are amazing. After having a c-sec you are already traveling with your two bubs...brave girl. Kiza - that is so sweet that your daughter has taken to Mia as she has and what a big help. When do they go back to school? Well girls my baby is officially a big boy. He has started putting words together and is such a strong willed little boy. Im thinking he may be hitting the terrible twos a little early though...he has been Mr. Independent lately and throws fits whenever he gets frustrated or doesnt want me to do something for him. Does anyone elses toddler behave that way. The first few temper tantrums he threw really caught me off guard, but now I just let him go through the motions and when he is done he goes back to his normal delightful self. Dh and I are planning a vacation and I cant wait. Im really looking forward to some time away. The grandmas are going to be splitting the week caring for Aidan. This will be my mom's first time for more than a few hours so it will be interesting to see how this goes. Well back to work as usual. I hope everyone is doing well. ttyl.

It's great to see us all on facebook. This is the last week of the school holidays, so my kids go back next Tuesday after having 6 weeks off. Hey girls, my internet was acting up for the past few days. Hope everyone is doing well. It seems like most of us are on FB now which is great. Mico, don't worry too much about the tantrums they go through stages. My ds had them more at 3 than anything esle. They get frustrated trying to be independent so they let it rip here and there. Your vacation sounds wonderful, good for you! It must be nice to have Grandma's around to help out. Consy, I can't wait to hear how thing are going. I need any pointers you can give me LOL!! the "what not to do's" to refresh my old mind. Jess you look great! you are all baby, looks like you have gained no weight anywhere else. Oh by the way I did talk to my doc last week about the PPD and he said I would more than likely experience it again but that this time they would be prepared. He just told me not to sit silent and that he would need my dh to be his eyes and let him know if I need help. But he said he was glad I told him and most women remain silent about it. He said it is a medical condition caused by lack of hormones after birth and that it should not be ignored like you would not ignore any physical condition. He said I could get lucky, but I really doubt it as I have always suffered with PMS etc. and it seems to run in my family. I had another 3D scan done last week and this time they got great photos of his face..he is sooooooooooo cute!!! He is still head down and weighs 3 1/2 lbs. I am 33 weeks today!!!

Hey girls. Sorry I've been MIA. It's been one rough week here. It started with Mira getting sick on Saturday night. She was really sleepy, so we put her to bed at like 6. When we went in her room to check on her between 7 and 8, it smelled so bad. She had thrown up all over herself - twice - and gone back to sleep. From that point until about 11:30 she threw up every 10 - 15 minutes. It was awful. The poor thing was so scared and confused and tired. She had never thrown up before that. She didn't know what the heck was going on, and kept saying "all done?" It was so sad. Of course, by Monday morning I was puking, and by Monday afternoon Nando was too. And Mira was still really tired, cranky, and had diarrhea. So needless to say it was a nightmare. Changing diarrhea diapers is the last thing you want to be doing when you're trying not to be sick. And being sick when you're 7 months pregnant is sooo not fun. Ugh. Anyway, enough ranting from me. Denise, I'm glad you got the whole shower thing worked out. I would be so mad at your sister. No offense, but she seems like a real jerk. If your family is all so difficult, how did you turn out so darn well?? :) I hope baby waits until after the shower to make his appearance, and that your sister feels like a real ass when she's there. :) And of course, that you have a great time!! Kiza, was the 6 weeks off like our summer vacation? Are they starting a new school year now? Or do you have more than one long break like that? Sorry to ask such a dumb question. LOL. Mia, I don't know what to tell you about the temper tantrums. Mira's been doing the same thing and I have no idea how to handle it. I feel like she's still so young, so I can't just talk to her about it or give her a time-out or something. Although I may start giving her "time-outs" in the form of quiet time in her room for a few minutes when she's freaking. I don't want to make her room a bad place though, you know? If you figure out something that works, please let me know! She's also been getting really sneaky lately. If she wants to go play downstairs, but knows I'm busy up here, she'll start telling me she wants a snack. But she really doesn't - she won't eat it when we get down there - it's just her way of tricking me into going downstairs. Or the best one - she never lets me clip her nails, so I let her watch cartoons to distract her while I do it. She doesn't usually get to watch them, and that's the only way I can get it done. Well, she's been asking to watch cartoons a lot lately (because she watched a lot when I was sick - what else was I going to do?!?) and when I say no, she says "Clip the nails? Getting longer." Hahahaha. She's trying to tell me her nails are too long so I better clip them while she watches cartoons. She's a smart little one. I think I'm in trouble with her. :) Ok, I've got to go hop in the shower while she naps. She won't let me do ANYTHING these past few days. After being in bed with me while we were sick, she is sooo attached to me she won't be alone at all. And she's getting up early again, and taking crappy naps. Ugh. We had just gotten her schedule right again and then she gets sick. I hate that. It will take weeks to get her back to normal again. Anyway, I'm off. Have a great day, ladies!

Gosh Jess sounds like you had a hell of a week, you poor thing. I just can't imagine feeling sick and having to change a messy diaper. Mira sounds hilarious!!! what a smart litlle cookie, I love it. "cut my nails they are too long" hilarious. It must make you giggle when she is not looking. She sounds very advanced for her age. Well more on the shower.............I guess my sister insisted on being involved now that someone else is doing it. My friends are so afraid of her that they couldn't say no, so wait and see she will try to take over. You ask how did I turn out okay? I am the youngest of 8 and always looked up to all of them, what a fool eh? my dh has been telling me for years to pull back and try not to care so much. I have had a lot go on with my family this year..my sis with cancer etc. my brother who lives here (11 yrs older) insulted me at a dinner and I stood up to him and he hasn't talked to me since. His two boys are very close to me (7 yrs and 12yrs) and my punishment was for me not to see them, it has been 9 mths. I send them B-day gifts and invited them to Kians b-day party but they would not let them come..ye know punishment to me, it's really sick. They never even sent Kian a card or a gift. He has always been a Ass and very insulting to me my whole life. So it has been very tough this year, he and his wife have never even acknowledged my pregnancy. But the best part of all is that my Sister has become very close to them now and she seems to be enjoying the whole episode, she feels more important now she has my brother all to herself. I could write a book and make millions I really could. Sorry to ramble on and on.....

Ah Jess you poor thing! I can only imagine how tired you are about now. Too funny about mira though Ava says cartoons all the time now since my mom's been watching her, I think she lets her watch a lot of cartoons (disney channel) to keep her occupied but Ava watches a bit then takes off to play with her toys. Mira sounds like she is well advanced for her age saying full sentences? wow! I know ava says words and tries to repeat everything we say but hasn't put them all into complete sentences yet:?) she is only 12.5 months so i give it a few more months:) Denise, sorry to hear of your sister. Family, what can I say? it is very hard to say no to them and even harder when you are the youngest. No worries though, you will have a blast, and just remember this shower is for YOU, so you enjoy it and it is your day. Ok I am on FB now! still waiting for mico and waggzy to join me though, come on ladies! A big hello to everyone else:) Gotta run and clean up some, oh and Jess ava is down to one crappy nap a day too!lol help us both:)

Oh, Denise---how horrible you had to go through all that junk. What is up with your family? I'm glad your friends are throwing you a party and I hope you can enjoy it, even if your sister is there. You know, I was due Sept. 14th with Rachel, had a shower planned for August 18th..... Well, I had Rachel August 9th.....but we still had the shower!!! So, even if your little boy comes a little early, you can still have the shower as planned!!! Jess, I'm so sorry you were so sick! How horrible! Rachel hasn't ever thrown up either, so I'm dreading the day it will come. She DID have diarrhea last week though and those diapers are bad. Especially diarrhea cloth diapers. Yucky! I ended up using disposables for awhile. I can't believe Mira is talking so well! Rachel has been saying a lot too and short sentences and I thought she was advanced!!!! :) I'm so glad everyone is on Facebook!!!!!! I'm still working on losing some weight, but I think we're on to TTC during my March cycle! I can't wait to have baby #2......but I am super nervous. You girls will have to help me get through it! I'm so scared to miscarry again or have another preemie. Rachel is doing so well.....she loves running around naked and loves to say the word "No!" about everything.....even if it's just a game....... She always says, "AMEN!!!" as soon as we're all seated at the table because she knows we pray before we eat. :) She also is so friendly and says "Hi!!!" to everyone we see---people in the store, other little kids.....you name it! I love it when she says, "HI, Mama!!!" or "HI, Daddee!!" Take care everyone!!

hi everyone! sorry been MIA so long, it's been so busy at work and at home this past week! my poor little Joshua has had a cold that has gotten worse each day, yesterday dh took him to urgent care and turns out he has an ear infection and croupe?? well anyway, doc gave him a steroid prescription coz his cough is horrible, and hurts so much! but he wouldn't take it, so I called the clinic today and the doc was able to change the prescription to something else, so hopefully he'll take it. I'm at work, I should have called in sick for Joshua but I'm really trying to save up some PTO for when I go on maternity leave. anyway, enough about that. Jess, you poor thing! I can't imagine what a week you've had, poor Mira, don't you just hate it when they're sick? I hope you're all better now. Denise, firstly CONGRATS!!! on 33 weeks, wow! you're on your way girl! and how nasty of your brother and sis to treat you that way! especially when they should be supportive of you at this time. wow, like Kiza mentioned, family can suck that way. but please do enjoy your shower day, sounds like you have some really nice friends, thank goodness! everyone's babies sound so advanced! Joshua says some words and imitates lots of sounds, like he knows animal sounds, but he doesn't really put words together yet :( I know each child is different but it's difficult not to compare. well, unfortunately I gotta run, I'm at work, but will post more later. Hi girls, it's me again, I'm at work again, urg. anyway, wanted to catch up on my post. Mico, your get-away sounds so wonderful, I am so jelous, I won't be doing any of that for atleast another year :) have fun! Allie, I can imagine how scary it will be going through your second pregnancy worrying that you'll go into pre-term labor again. We will all be praying for you and hoping that you carry to term, and will help you get through it. I am excited for you- almost time to ttc! you've done so well with your weight loss, kudos girl! LB, glad you've joined fb, I can't get on from work, which is where I usually get time for any internet time :) so I'll add you on as soon as I can log on at home. Actually, I just posted a pic on piczo, can't post on FB right now coz I'm at work, but will do so when I can. it's of me and Joshua at my graduation. I realized I haden't posted any pics since his B-day! I've been slacking. well, this pregnancy is so much harder on my body than the first. I'm always tired, and always achy, I feel like I'm 36 weeks pregnant! I can barely carry Joshua around any more, and he's sick so that's all he wants :( got a bad cold and ear infection (I may have already mentioned that in my last post :]) anyway, Jess and Con, I donno how you girls are doing it! I had my 20 week Dr. appt on Tuesday and everyhting from the u/s looks great! it's always re-assuring to hear good news. HB was 152, baby's sooo active, doc said if he were any more active he'd be crawling out of my belly :) I was kinda concerned coz the movements haden't gotten any stronger for a week before my appt, but he's moving just fine in there. hope everyone else is doing well, hugs and kisses and belly rubs to everyone!

Hi Deniese, I just missed you as I looged on and saw you had posted 1 minute before I olooged on. anywho, I miss you girls sooo much!!! I can't get on FB from work, and I haven't had any internet time at home, so unfortunately I can't catch up on the posts. I hate to have everyone posting on the thread just for me, I will try and squeez in some time when I get home tonight, or maybe tomorrow morning and post on FB. I DO have lost and lots of emails about posts, can't wait to cathc up with everyone. I am doing great, thanks Denise and Jess for checking in, let everyone know I am ok and miss them. Hey waggs, sorry you can't get on FB at work what a pain in the arse. I hope you & bubs are well. Hows Joshua, getting so big I imagine. All is well with us here & everyone seems well on FB. Did you know that Vicki is pregnant again? About 9 weeks I think.Hopefully you will be able to get a couple of minutes at home to have a quick catch up.
