I miscarried a couple of weeks ago. I bled heavily during the miscarriage and then the bleeding tapered off. Two weeks later I'm still experiencing some light bleeding and I'm wondering how long I can expect this to last. It's not even heavy enough to need a panty liner, I just notice it when I go to the bathroom. I can tell it's old blood by the color. I've miscarried twice before but they were both very different than this miscarriage.

Hi, it seems your screenname is familiar...were you on here when you miscarried before? How are you doing? Sorry, I could be totally wrong, but I just remember the dukeblue part of your name. As for the bleeding, that sounds pretty normal. If it lasts a month I' d call my doctor and ask to get c checked. Were all 3 of your losses natural miscarriages or did you ever have a d&c?

Hi. Yes I've been on before. I believe I posted during my first miscarriage. My second miscarriage was due to a chemical pregnancy so it kind of happened and was over with before we really knew what was going on. We were hoping the third time was the charge, but unfortunatly it wasn't. My first miscarriage was pretty harsh. This miscarriage was quite as bad, but it lasted longer. All three of my losses were natural miscarriages. I had blood work done again today to make sure my levels are going down. When I call to get the results, I'll talk to the nurse to make sure the bleeding I'm experiencing is normal.

I really hope some day I can post on this board as an expecting mom with a healthy pregnancy. It's so hard to think you're body isn't capable of carrying a baby. This miscarriage is totally beating me up emotionally. I'm just not a happy person at all anymore, I'm weepy all the time, and all I want to do is be at home with my husband. I'm so pitiful right now. I put up a pretty good front with people, but my heart is just breaking inside.

I'm so sorry....and I know nothing much makes it better but time and distance from it. Now that you have had 3 have you talked to your doctor about testing? I'd say it is definitely something you should do even if it is the basic miscarriage panel.
