17DPO, Negative Hpt, 10 Day Luteal Phase (late Ovulation)

Hello! I ovulate very late, usually around 20 days after my last cycle. I am now 17DPO (23 DPO if I had normal ovulation around 14 days) and one week late. I took a pregnancy test at the doctors yesterday and it came back negative. Could I still be pregnant? When should I assume that I am definitely not pregnant and that I just skipped a cycle? (even though I have never skipped before). Can I still get a positive after 17DPO? If so, up to how many DPO can I finally get a positive? (i.e. 19, 28, 32?)
