The midwifery student is right according to all my research. Up to a quarter of conceptions end up in miscarriage without us even knowing. The "fetus" is not formed right and not viable therefore does not produce enough hormones to carry on. With my first child I had two pink lines. Then 3 years later I saw a very faint second line. Knowing pregnancy hormones almost double daily I thought I would get a darker line two days later. Well, it remained faint to my surprise and 5 days later I got a very heavy and lumpy period. Faint 2nd line does mean pregnancy usually but it's the very faint shadowy line that I think is suspicious.

I am 7 weeks along and am terrified that I will have a blighted ovum or missed miscarriage since I do not have any warning signs. How do I ensure that everything is OK.

I had a very faint line with an EPT & I was pregnant! I took a Clear Blue Easy 2 days later & it was blue as can be. The Dr. confirmed it with a urine test at the office. My pregnancy was perfect & my daughter is 2 1/2 now & perfectly healthy. A faint line does not mean you are going to miscarry. Especially considering your period is barely late!

I had the same thing this morning. I have very irregular period and have been on Clomid for 5 months, but didn't have any sucess with that. My last period was Jan 14. I took a test this morning and there was a very faint line, the control window was pretty light too- not as light at the test but not dark. I used a store brand test. Are they really that different? Any suggestions on a better one to take? Could this be a positive? I will probably wait a couple days and do it again and try not to get my hopes up!

I toko a test yesterday and it had a very light 2nd line on first response. I dont know if this is because I may have just got pregnant because just last week was the only time i havent used protection and he has "flowed" inside. Do you think that it was very faint because i am still very early? i have missed my period.

What does it mean when a clear blue easy test has been taken ,,and it says....SEE leaflet?

I took First Response test this morning and got a faint pink line. I've been TTC for 6 months and wasted a lot of money on HPT kits but never had a second line before. Based on BBT, I think I ovulated 10 days ago. I wnent to see a ob/gyn and their urnine test turned out to be a faint pink line again. They said I can either go to a lab for blood test or wait for a week and retest. I'm going to wait because blood test might turn out to be low hormon level and I'll have to go back anyhow.

No matter how dark or light the lines are, you are pregnant. I had the same thing with my daughter (now 19 months old) happen. If you want a definite answer, go to your GYN doctor and they will tell you for sure if you are or not. From the sounds of it, you are.

I am 4 days late and have taken a number of pregnancy tests and they all are very very faint and you have to really look at the test to see the line.
I am going to try and wait until October 12th 2005 to retest to see if I get a darker positive.
But I am pretty sure I am pregnant because of ALL the symptoms that I am having.

Pamg, I hope youve had a BFP, I'm 4 days late, done more than several tests(last 2 had very faint lines) I think I'm obsessed

I am supposed to start today and I have had 2 faint positive lines that go away after 10 minutes or so. Anyone had anything similar? I have had 2 miscariiages and have been contiously trying to get pregnant.

I, too, used the First response test and got a very faint line. I was only 1 day late with my period. I retested the next day with a different brand and it was clearly positive.

i have had very faint lines on tests for the last four days(as in hold up to light tilt it and suint type thing but definately faintly there). I'm hoping they're still faint because my period is not due for another three days. I never realised this would be so stressful
