Pam - I'm hoping you got good news on Friday at your u/s. You're in my thoughts. For all those testing a zillion times (who isn't??!), here's a link to Aimstick pregnancy tests: http://www.babyhopes.com/pregnancytests.html - 10 pack of strips for about $20 - they're the type you use by piddling in a cup and dipping the strip. The midstream type cost more. Also, the strips are more sensitive (detection level: 20 mIU/ml hCG) than other tests you buy at the store. The midstream detects 25 mIU/ml hCG. We're waiting a little while after a couple of miscarriages but I think I'll snatch up a pack of these when we're trying again. It's sure a better deal than what's at the store. Take care.

Oh, this is ridiculous. It changes them somehow when they go through. You get the idea - do a search for tests with 20 mIU/ml hCG and you'll find 'em!

Hey ladies....anyone know why HPT would show faint ++, but blood tests and dr's urine test both showed - - . 20 days late wednesday (04/27), still no period....read previous message for details.....Thanks for reading!!!

To Just wondering....I haven't gotten an u/s yet....I am doing another HPT tomorrow morning, and nope, still no period yet. I'll be 3 weeks late tomorrow. I'll have to wait and see and go see the Dr. again I guess, depending on the result....Baby dust, Baby dust, to us all.......

I went to the doc today and they did an u/s. I am not pg. They did a bunch of blood work too so we will see what that comes out. Thank you everyone for listening. G/L to everyone trying to get pg!

Hey all, I've just read this entire thread and have a few questions. I started taking clomid and metformin in January because I have PCOS and was not ovulating and hubby and I are ttc. I had a period in Feb, and one in March. I had severe cramping along with the period in March (I'm talking doubled over vomiting everywhere bawling my eyes out cramps). Went to the ER and they did a CT scan. At my follow up appointment my OB-GYN told me I had a few small cysts on my Left ovary and my ovaries were a little enlarged. No big suprise there, thats about normal for me. Anyway, because of all of that, I didnt take the fertility meds in March, but am pretty sure I ovulated in March. Come April, no period shows up. I took an hpt on April 22nd and nothing at all showed up until the next day. The next day it showed up negative. Anyway, I just figured I'd have to take estradiol or some such to start my period back again and forgot about it. Well, 3 days later, I had a dream I had a positive pregnancy test. So, when I woke up, I grabbed my stick and headed to the bathroom. It was positive. Only problem is, it was an OPK stick and not a PG stick. I got them mixed up in my half asleep very excited state. I'm absolutely 100 percent certain that I wasn't ovulating and have had some pg symptoms, most especially peeing ALL the time. I've read that OPKs turn positive when you are ovulating or pregnant. I have a doctors appointment on the 10th, but don't want to wait that long to find out if I am PG. And hpt tests just DON'T work for me. Nothing at all shows up, not even one line. So, Im wondering if I should take another OPK or just wait it out and see? I was due for my period on April 3rd, which makes me almost 4 weeks late. I've had PG symptoms before, and then had a period not long after, but I've never ever had the peeing all the time symptom another symptom I have had are headaches. The past few weeks(with the exception of this one) has been nothing but headache after headache. So, do I wait it out since hpts aren't working and assume Im pregnant because of the positive OPK even though I was not ovulating? Or what?

You sound like me!! I went through much of the same 3 years ago, and now I have a wonderfully wild and adorable little boy named Grant!!!! I have PCOS and conceived him on chlomid. If I were you, I'd try another preg. test AND get a blood test at the doc. B/c of the PCOS you cannot count on your math being right. I was about 3 weeks late for my period when I conceived last time, so I took a pregnancy test. --nothing. A week later I took one again and got a faint positive. 5 days later I went in and they did an ultrasound to determin how far along I was. My previoius period was very light, so they wanted to make sure it was not implantation. When they did the u/s I was only 3 1/2 weeks. That means I had JUST gotten pregnant when I took the test. (it was a faint positive) Moral of the story-- you could be pregnant, and you might not be as far along as you think... I'm going through it again right now, but without chlomid. I was getting ready to go on chlomid again to get pregnant and wahlah.. I started feeling pregnant. I took I think 4 tests... all negative. Then two weeks later I started spotting. then took a preg test that was positive. Turned out that it was implantation spotting, and my early pregnancy symptoms were from ovulation. I guess ovulation throws me for a loop b/c I rarely do, I'm sure the hormone changes impact me. I'm at 4 weeks right now.

I have been trying to have a baby and have missed my period. It was supposed to come on the 10th and my pregnancy tests are negative. Keep taking them and says NOT PREGNANT! We tried during my fertile time and everything. I feel exhausted, lower back pain, indigestion that I never get and urinating more frequently. I feel like my clothes are getting a little tighter. SOmething just aint right. I have a wave of nauseau and I am beginning to think it is all in my head. I think I will just hold off and wait for a period. It is good to read these posts and know that you are not losing your mind. I keep telling myself You are not pregnant so my period will come. Still waiting. I dont feel like it is on its way though.. Good luck to everyone who wants a baby I have a little boy and this happened the first time. Took a long time to find out. The waiting game is the worst especially when you are trying to have a baby. Kris, glad to know that I'm not the only one. Around the 10th of April I had one episode of VERY light spotting. And I'm talking just once. And then nothing at all. So, I have no idea. Would be a great big help if an HPT would work. Guess I don't have good pee. I just wonder if my HCG levels in my urine are extrememly low and thats why I never even get one line? Anyone ever heard of that? Or have the same problem?
Im really hoping that this is It and we're actually PG. Have been trying forever now. When we started trying last year, we ended up having to stop before we got good and started because I was rediagnosed with PTC (pseudotumor cerebri) and had to get that sorted out. So, it'd be nice if we finaly are! I'll take another HPT tomorrow and see if I can get anything on that. I'm not crossing my fingers though lol. They just dont work for me. Other than that, I guess I'll just have to wait it out! Thanks for the info! Glad to know Im not the only one!

well I was worried that I was having a phantom pregnancy, but reading this I dont think I am! thanks alot guys! I am sure I am pregnant now, I had two neg test and one positvie.. good luck everyone and thanks zxxx

24 DAYS LATE...still no show...Did a couple of HPT again this week (so far, took a total of 7 HPT, 1 dr's urine...all were neg...)...Went to the E.R. on Friday, had blood test again (total of 2 blood tests, all negative)....At least this doctor was friendly and helpfull....I am having an ULTRASOUND done this coming week (hopefully I'll get an answer this week)...the suspense is killing me, but I changed my way of thinking in order to keep my thoughts busy...if i'm pgnt, it'll eventually show.....Still having more symptoms (nauseous in the evenings now, ALOT of tingling & burning feelings in my lower abdominal area, very sore nipples, extrememly fatigued, headaches-which i never use to have, white creamy discharge....etc) So, I really don't know what's going on....ah well, I will keep you girls updated.....COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE REPLY SO I CAN HAVE SOMEBODY TO TALK TO??? my period is 14 weeks late, all test bar one has been negitive! all symptoms and belly growing.. so good luck with your ultra sound!
