Hi Girls, I'm now up to about 40 days late for my period. Have had one tiny brown spot (last Wednesday) since my last period which started March 3, that is it. Have had all negative tests (2 blood and 5? hpts). Went for my u/s last Wednesday (in the afternoon after the spotting happened) but haven't got results back yet, tried to phone today but couldn't get through. Other than some bloating and some discharge I didn't really feel any different but my nipples have been pretty sore since late last week and I'm pooped. Monique, you must be gearing up for your u/s tomorrow!!! I just wanted to say that I hope that everything goes well for you and let us know what happens. I'm really curious about what they say -- it really sounds to me like you have something going on down there!!! I wrote my story before, but here I am again. I am 13 weeks Today, and I wish I would enjoy my pregnancy, but no, big fat NO for me. I have to think, to worry, to guess, and not to trust my own body, because I've got: one positive hpt 2 weeks after I missed my period, after that countless quantity of negative HPTs, 3 negative blood tests, plus doctors telling me that I am probaly not PG. Also 3 doctors told me that my ovaries looks good too, no signs of cycts or any other abnormalities shown yet. All other tests came out very normal too. I am 35 yo. I think it's litle bit too early for menopause. I have one daughter, she is 17 yo. I have no idea what the scenario was with her, because I was pg back in my country in Lithuania, and there they don't take blood tests for pregnancy, they take some sort of samples form servix, and have their own levels of something I don't even know what exactly. I was spotting for one day on my first missed period, and then for 3 days on my 2nd missed period, and then for 5 days on my 3rd missed period (maybe because we went camping, and I spent too much time on the sun). After that it was clean for 3 days, and then spotting for one day, then clean for 4 days, and spotting for one day. I can't even call that a big deal, because it was very light pink, and appear only after I urinate and wipe - you can see pinkish. Not even pantyliners needed to be used. My breasts are very sore, heavy and tender. I have very light cramps very often. And I feel also gasy. My belly very hard and looks like biger then used to be. My periods were very regular. For the last couple of weeks I feel pulling sensation, which I never felt before. It's definately new, something going on in here, and I like to know what. I scedule an u/s for tomorrow, of course results probably wouldn't be ready immediately, but I hope I will have some answers soon. They told me to drink 32oz. of liquid, so I am not sure if this introvaginal, or not? I'll be posting more, wish me luck.

After my faint positive, 5 negatives, & my af being 14 days late, it started ): But it's really weird because I'm usually a 5-7 or 8 day person, & this af was only 3. Plus, I have only been late 3 times in my life (hence my 3 children) I am so regular that I tested the day I didn't get my af & already knew bfp with my kids because I am never late. So I'm not sure what's going on.

Maybe I am in the wrong forum now? I have an U/S issue now. Ok here we go. U/S TODAY!!!Technician said: "Negative, no baby, no sack, nothing. Ovaries looks good, and ready to ovulate (I wonder for how long they will be ready?). Nothing abnormal. Uterus lining very thick - can be sign of pregnacy, or sing of upcoming period." My Goodness 3 periods missed now!!!!!! I supose to be 13 weeks of pregnancy, and embrio has to be 11 weks old. Is it possible for them not to see it, or miss it? I am so confused! When I asked tech. questions, she said that my doctor will answer everything for me (yeah, right!) Girls!!! Please someone woth similar situation, you think u/s can be wrong? Tech. aslo said that at my age (I am 35) maybe my body going through changes, but not too worry. I am heart broken, my husband can't find any sence in all what happening at all. My all family, my friends - we all confused and tired, and now on top of it depressed. Please someone HELP!!!!

Nat- what kind of ultrasound was it? Was it a trans-vaginal or an abdominal ultrasound?

To Mandy: It was both, but it's not like she was looking for a baby. She just said that if it's more than 6 weeks we would see it without effort. She looked at my ovaries etc. My blodder was very full for abdomen u/s and then she told me to empty it for intro-vaginal, but it was so full that even after I peed, she said that my bladder was still full.

Hi everyone. Something really wierd happened!! Just to quickly update, I haven't had my period since March 3, lots of neg tests, and I went for an u/s and there was no baby (as expected). That morning before I went I had a teeny bit of spotting (first in like 70 days). It was gone by the afternoon. I'd ordered some hpt's online to help fuel my obsession (haha) and tried one thursday night. One dark line showed up right away, so I figured it was negative. I went back in 5 minutes later to throw it out and low and behold, there was the faintest little pink line in the test window! So faint that my husband was like "there's no way that can count". But could it??? I don't know.. I saw some pictures on peeonastick.com and that is how it looked. But Friday morning I did another and there was nothing at all. I'm going to try again maybe Sunday and see. But my main question is: could I have ovulated even though I hadn't have a period for about 2 months? Anyone?


Also: Monique, haven't heard from you in awhile, any news??

Did you get your US results? Have you gotten any answers? this is so difficult isn't it? Don't you wonder if we should be concerned about a disease with pregnancy-like symptoms?

I am so happy that I am not the only person going through this! I am three weeks late and all the HPT's are negative. I am making an appointment today to see what is going on. I have a lot of the symptoms and I am never late....even by an hour. Even my husband has noticed changes. Frankly, I just want a for sure answer at this point.

sorry . . .I don't think you usually can ovulate without a period. When you ovulate, you have a period 14 days later. The day of ovulation can vary from woman to woman (so the first part of your cycle can be shorter or longer than two weeks), but your period should come two weeks after ovulation. This two weeks is called the leutal phase. Some women do have a leutal phase defect, though, and this leads to fertility problems. Have you ever tried an ovulation predictor kit, temping, or cervical mucus and cervical position checks? You can pinpoint your ovulation.

Answer: Hi girls. I have written in then forum before. My last period was Feb. 11, 2005. I have had neg. quan. blood test and also 2 neg. urine tests from the doctors. I have had sore nipples (never had in my life) very bloated and some CM. Let me give a little history. I have been off birth control for a little over a year. I have had (in the past 2 months) a thyroid test, blood pg test, urine pg test, and numerous tests on my white and red blood cells everything was normal. I have since seen a Gyn. She did a pelvic exam and said everything looked normal. I am having no pain, but a couple weeks ago I still felt like I was going to start my period. It never came. I dont feel like that anymore. Not only do my nipples hurt now, but so do my bbs. Anyways. I will tell you what my doc said. She said that I could have PCOS. Even though I have no signs or symptoms. She said if a woman does not have a period everything 3 months that it increases the risk of cancer before you are not shedding the lining of your uterus (like you do when you have your period). She put me on Provera for 5 days. Provera is a supplement hormone. It is supplamenting the hormone your body makes makes before your period. Your body makes this hormone for some time then it stops. When it stops this is the sign for your period to come. The you shed the lining of your uterus. I have since finished my pills 2 days ago. Still nothing. She told me that If I did not start that this because my brain is not telling my body what to do when the hormone have stopped being made. So, I go see her again next week. She refused to give me another blood test. She said that it was pointless. Im so confused. I dont think I am pregnant, but I have never had anything like this happen. I turned 21 in January. Never had a problem with my period before. I was on birth contol for 3 years. I went to the doctor and she tested my hormones and they are fine. I finally started my period with the help of provera. She said to wait another 3 months and if my period does not come to take the presciption Provera again. Ladies, go see your doctor. ALL my tests are fine, and I am still not having my period.

NOT PREGNANT....still no period (10 weeks late). I had both ultrasounds done on Thursday, come to find out, I have an Ovarian Cyst on my right ovary.....Still having burning sensations in my lower abdominal area, but NOT pregnant......just thought I'd let you girls know......Good luck to you all.......

Did you know the cyst on your ovary could be a leutal cyst. A leutal cyst comes every month with your cycle and if no pregnacny occurs it is suppossed to shrivel up. It's purpose is to support the pregnancy until the placenta starts working. Sometimes it doesn't shrivel up on time, and it keeps working causing pregnancy symptoms. I think maybe it's happened to me.
So, if you're like me, you might be wondering if you're a little crazy when you feel so pregnant when you're not. However, there probably is a biological reason why your body has been telling you it's pregnant. You are not crazy. good to know, isn't it.? hope this helps!

Monique - it is good to hear from you! i called my dr's office toady and finally got the news that like you, I have cysts. I have an appt tomorrow to find out more. It's been 79 days since last period. My nipples are still a little sore and pointy (maybe my boobs will finally grow - haha) and last weekend I REALLY felt like I had menstrual cramps, but of course, no menstruation to go along with it. How bad is the burning? Have you heard how yor cyst will get treated? Keep in touch, we can compare notes! Take care & I hope that you are doing alright... Update from dr.s appt today. I have a bunch of tiny cysts on each ovary and one that is about 2cm on my right ovary which they think is stopping my periods. I'm starting progerterone for 10 days which will hopefully start my period, then we see if my cycles start up normally again.
