Wow! Is really all that I can say! I knew for a long time that it was possible to be pregnant and not test positive on any general pregnancy test, but I didn't know it was as common as it apparently is, as I have noticed on many of these site. The only reason I knew it was possible, because my mom herself went through that when she was pregnant with me, but refused to accept the doctors diagnosis as negative. She knew and treated herself as though she was pregnant, and tada in your face doctor here I am. But I am going thru the same thing now, is it possible for this to be caused by something genetic? who knows.....but I'm 8 weeks late, I've been very nauseated, my breasts are very tender, I have been so fatigued (usually sleep max. 5-6hrs, but been sleeping min. 8.5 hrs) lately, I've missed my last period and well...I don't know what to think of it. I went to the dr two weeks ago, and she said no I was definately not pregnant. What kind of dr says such a thing, I spoke with a friend of mine in another town who happens to be a dr and he told me that they are not supposed to say definately not, as clinical tests are definately not 100% accurate, there are many different people in this world and nothing works the same for every one of us. Ive been sleeping a lot, but it hasn't been a comfortable sleep. *bleh* I'm so sick and it's so weird and it's tough trying to keep it from everyone right now, because I don't want to get anyone's hopes up until I know myself. My guy is also in another town and it freaks me out to tell him, we've talked about this and we both agreed that we wanted to have a baby at some point, I just don't think we were expecting it to happen so soon. I'm happy, things are good, I should go back to the dr's right!? That's the only problem with living in a small town....everyone finds out when something is out of the norm. Well....thanks....talk to you all soon....just needed to vent. :)

Anyone know if your white blood cell count goes up with pregnancy? I went to the doctor because i have been nauseous, tired for the past 3 weeks. HPTs were negative. AF was 1 week late and lasted only 2 days. Doctor only did a urine pregnancy test. Had blood work done that's when she said my White Blood Count was high. I just feel pregnant. My breasts are tender, growing, and recently i have noticed that my viens there are very noticable...Any suggestions?

hey out there, im goin nutz, im now 16 days late for my period, i took a blood test that was negative and 5 home pregnancy tests all negative, but i have all the symptoms, im so weak and tired, im sick to my stomach, my back is on fire and i pee all the time, I have sore boobs and i know im pregnant . all the doctors are saying there aint no way, is it crazy for me to still think this?

Joannie - October 19th, 2005 3:00 PM

Still no period. Saw the doc today. Still no physical exam. She wants me to go back on the pill for a month to induce a period so she can do a hormone test on day 3. :-(

Denielle - October 19th, 2005 3:32 PM

Sandy- She wants you to go BACK on the pill, even though you think you may be pregnant?
If I were you (and this is just MY opinion), I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't want to induce a period if I thought for one second that I could be pregnant. Did she discuss the consequences that could happen with this? I would advise against this if I were you, but then again, I'm not a doc.
What are you going to do?

Amy - October 19th, 2005 5:26 PM

Mandy - The first thing I noticed before I was even found out I was pregnant with my first was a sudden revulsion toward the smell of cigarettes. I quit cold turkey one morning when the smell gave me a headache and it wasn't even hard, I never even craved another one. I would definitely recommend requesting a blood test from your doctor to put your mind at ease. I am in the same boat right now - only 10 days late and all negative tests. This worries me because it took me being 17 days late for my first to register on an HPT. From what I've been reading it isn't that abnormal for HCG levels to remain too low to read on an HPT test, even when you are VERY late. So hang in there, we are all going through hell here.

Ashley - October 19th, 2005 5:35 PM

Hali - I was 20 days late for my period before an HPT would even slightly register a faint positive line for my first. Now I am in the same boat again - 10 days late and all negative tests, no symptoms just really tired from being so stressed out. I've read all over the place that even blood tests won't always pick it up much sooner so you could definitely still be pregnant. Good luck.

Ashley - October 20th, 2005 1:27 PM

This is nuts- now 11 days late and still negative tests, no period. I'm going to scream! I can't do this anymore I just want to know. My back hurts and I feel like I'm going to explode into a period mess but it never comes. AHHH

Denielle - October 20th, 2005 1:43 PM

I'm now 37 days late. I took a hpt yesterday morning, and they were both negative. (I took a first response and equate). I do NOT believe them. I KNOW I am pregnant. I just wish that a test would go ahead and confirm it for me. I don't have insurance at this moment, which means a blood test will cost me $175 out of pocket, up front. I will have insurance on me in the next 26 days. I have to wait for my probationairy period at work to be up. Why can't a test just go ahead and confirm what I already know? It would be much easier for my boyfriend. He wants me to be pregnant, he wants another kid. We have 3 kids collectively. I have a 5 year old son, and he has 2 daughters, 8 and 9. The kids don't know yet, and we don't want to tell them until it's confirmed. But I already know the answer.
This is driving me crazy!!! I'm going to take another test or two over the weekend. Maybe SOMETHING will show up.

Joannie - October 20th, 2005 1:57 PM

I'm going to wait on starting back on the pill. There's no harm waiting. I'm eating well and taking vitamins and not drinking. (I had a glass of wine on a couple of occasions after my negative blood test, but since I still haven't gotten my period, I stopped drinking again altogether.) I have an appiontment with a different doctor on 11/4. Maybe she'll be more responsive.

Joannie - October 20th, 2005 3:47 PM

Now I'm really going insane. I just took my 20 millionth hpt and THIS time I swear there was the faintest pink line, where before there was nothing at all. Am I crazy? Obsessed? Probably, but I'll take another test on Sunday just in case.

Amanda - October 23rd, 2005 8:29 PM

hello again everyone. Today i had some more spotting and some painful period like cramps. Anyone have any ideas...I could really use some advice.
