Claire- Yep I'm now 16 days late and still negative HPTs. The only reason I still think its possible is because for my first pregnancy it took around 20 days late for it to show up on an HPT. Grr it's the only thing I can think about, like it never, never leaves my mind. I'm crampy too - but you can get that when your pregnant too, I sure did for the first several weeks. AHH good luck

Help...Husband had vascetomy 4 yrs ago..have heard of an accident feel sick,1/12 weeks late, have symtoms,(swollen breast,very bad bad cramps) has anyone heard of getting pregnant ,after yrs of having a vascetomy???called dr..she said wait til fri...hate waiting..got any ideas??last period was sept 16th...

Besty, it can happen though it is rare. Is there a chance that you have started going through menapause?

Can someone point me to articles by doctors or other "experts" regarding women who are pg but don't produce enough hormone for positive HPT? I here a lot of anecdotes, but all the "expert" info (including my doctor) says that if HPT is negative, you aren't pregnant. I have missed 2 periods, and I'm getting anxious.

I haven't had a period since Sept 2. So technically I would be about 7.5 weeks preggo if I am in pregnant. So this is the deal, I had taken a number of HPTs a couple of weeks back all to which were negative, but then I took 2 last Thursday and they were both positive. I took my glowing self to the Urgent Care doctors office the very next day, because my OB was in the process of moving their office and I wanted confirmation. I tested positive there too!! So yeah I thought... I went ahead and scheduled a real OB?GYN appt, my first REAL prenatal appt. Went in today and they gave me a urine test and that test came back negative...---!!! how are you pregnant at one doctors office and then not pregnant at another doctors office just a few days later?????? The DR also did a quantitative HCG and I am supposed to get those results tomorrow, but I am so confused. This is supposed to be a joyous time and here i am at 10:53pm at night stressing on the internet. I have not had any morning sickness, just severe bloating and fatigue and a little crampiness here and there as well as gas and constipation at times. I have cried and cried today because i got myself so excited about this being IT!! So I dont know if I am or if I'm not and it is all I can thinhk about... Is there anyone out there who has gotten a combination of positive and negative tests...if so, what does that mean?

Mickey....Can't wait til you find out...if you are preg or not,I hate the waiting game,I haven't had a period since sept 16th but I'm old..lol...i am hoping its menopause..yea..I have had a bad back for 2 weeks,brests feel weird,like as If i was gonna have my period,and last of all HE'S been FIXED for 4 yrs..I feel like you stressed and I have been checkin out the internet, this is a great site..the more i read elsewhere the worse i feel..keep me posted..

Well the Dr. still hasn't called and they were supposed to call me by noon. But I did start today and had the cramps that I normally have when I start my (.) So I think I know the answer to the blood test, without even knowing for sure.But I am surprisingly ok, I am just glad to have an answer and that is, that I have in fact started....so we will start trying again next month....Good luck everyone else!!!! i just started taking these erbal (sp)vitamins to strengthen my connective tissues, they make my urine color change to this bright yellow/green neon color. Do you think that this will effect taking a home pregnancy test?

Hi everyone! I've just been reading all of this and cannot believe it. I am now 8 weeks late. I took 2 hpt and were negative. I went to the doctors last week as I had also been very sick (which I'm never). They did a urine test and that came back negative too. I was then very sick again. I phoned the doctors and have another appointment tomorrow. I have had really bad heartburn and am just sleeping all the time. However, the sickness has stopped the last couple of days. I don't think my breast feel different but I never get any feeling in them at any time anyway. I'm really confused and keep thinking it's all in my head! Help!

I am too going through the whole phantom thing! I had my last proper period in august had spotting a few days after the condom split and had a period which was so light for 1 day. all HPT's are coming up negative and no1 wants to help! doctors just send me away! my belly is getting bigger and i havent had a proper period for 8 weeks!

Amanda and xpinkx have either of you had a blood test! I have heard of negative urine test but positive blood test.

does anyone know about the erbal pills question? if not please say no so i know that someone read it. I read the bottles they came in and it didnt say anything about being preg. and taking them so im really not sure. Thank you!
