I am having a similar situation. I got off the birth control pill in September. My period came 5 days late for the month of October, and now, it has not come at all for the month of November. At this point, I am 4 weeks late. I've had 2 negative hpt's. My period was very irregular before I got on the pill, but once I got on it, it was normal. Around this time last year, I had stopped taking the pill and my period was coming normal and on time. I've had symptoms i.e. the nausea, nipples actually hurt, and a lot of cramping. Can I still be pregnant? I mean, there is a strong chance as I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend all the time. At this point, I'm very scared to find out that I am not pregnant. If my period used to be irregular before I ever got on the pill, is there a chance that it could go back to going that way? I actually made an appointment to see my gynecologist this coming Monday, but I am very impatient. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys well im going crazy here,i came of the depo-prova injection on the 12 of october.Since then i havnt had a period which means i am 7weeks late.I have done loads of tests and all are negative,I have had unprotected sex lots of times but with no positive test and no period i dont know where i am.I think i am as im urinating more than often, my breasts are getting bigger and i look pregnant, well above my belly button is swollen and hard but below is soft.I do feel a lot more sleepy and have loads of ulcers in my mouth.I cant get a doctors appointment till late dec so i was just wondering if anyone could help me.

Hi guys,im new on here im just searching for some answers and reading some storys has helped.I came of the depo-prova injection on oct 12, since then i havnt had a period, its now been nearly 8wks and every test iv done shows negative.I do think im pregnant and have a couple of symtoms like urinating more often, ulcers in mouth, sleepy, breasts grwing, weight gain, bad back also my belly above my belly button is swollen and hard but my lower belly is soft.Im going crazy here but cant get an apponitment for the docs till late dec.Can anyone give me some advise pls.

when i came off the depo shot in Oct 2002 i had a lot of problems and when i questioned my doctor who by the way never told me this he said that even if youve only had one shot it can still take 12-18 months to get out of your system so just know that shot really screws with your body as does any birth control since ive been off the patch in july i ve only had two periods one of which i got monday just wanted you to know birth control does mess up your body

Hi Shey and C when getting off the pill or changing contraceptives it can mess your body about and even make you feel pregnant,. Take a preg test to be sure but this happens alot and your body just has to get back to working normally on its own:

Hey ladies...just a tip from someone who works in healthcare if you feel like your doctors are not taking you seriously...especially male doctors. If you go in telling them that you suspect you are pregnant, alot of them have this preconception that you are just hoping that you are pregnant and you want them to tell you that you are. Try going in and telling them that your symptoms and that you took an hpt and it came back negative (if it did), so you've come to the conclusion that you are suffering from a hormonal imbalance or thyroid problem and that you want a FULL LAB WORKUP...including blood pregnancy test. Remember to put your foot down and DO NOT BE PASSIVE! These doctors are here to take care of YOU, and they make their salaries from YOU!

Please Read the entire reply. Well Mandy i hope you and the rest of the women on here get the answer they want. Yet I am in the same situation. I have not been having sex this year and I have came on my period every month regular too. Then 2 months of having sex with protection everything still regular period still came. Then in August we decide to stop using protection and no periods have came since. I took a pt in Oct. It came back positive but it was so light. I showed it to my God sister that is 7 months pregnant she said thats how hers looked. But to be on the safe side I took another one followed by 4 more that have all came back NEGATIVE. I went to the doctor and thats when I took the BIG test that also came back NEGATIVE. Then me and my doctor gave up hopes of me being pregnant ane we started looking into other health issues. So he began the normal check of my lungs then put the sthethaschope on my stomach like a regualar check-up and that is when he found my baby heart beat. I am 4 months pregnant and for fun I took another pregnancy test just to see what it would say. It still shows negative. Yet its been proved I am in fact pregnant. I am 25 in school my teacher told me the same thing happened to her after 6 months of negative blood and urine test the doctor told her she took an ultra sound that had large shades on it since her pts kept coming back negative tthe doctor told her she had a large tumor then 3 months later she had a 10lb baby boy. wow monique what a story! i am having the same problem with getting poisitve preg hpt tests and neg at doctors! did your teachers baby come out healthy>

I am going through the same thing right now. I had my period Oct, 9 2005 i have taken numerous pregnancy test and they are all negitive. I set me an appt. with my Dr. for Jan. I have the cramps too but no bleeding. Mine might be my age im 45 so it could also be that im in my menopause. I just feel like im to young to be stopping at my age.

Mandy, JUst to let you know i'm in the same boat, I miscarried at 6 weeks in early sept. I had one period in oct. and no period since, all my hpt have come up negative, but again symptoms of pregnancy are all there. Have you had a blood test done? And could you have miscalculated your timeline cause maybe if your timeline is off and you ovulated late maybe the hormone level is too low to register. My first born i had 6 negative pregnancy tests before a positive result. Really I understand the anguish about not knowing but trust your body it'll give you all the clues nevermind the tests. Im still waiting my bloodwork hoping for a positive we've been trying hard. lol! good luck

Megan, mandy's posts were off early this year- it turned out she was pregnant and she had a little girl. She found out via a scan and didnt have any blood tests

Hello everyone, i have a story that i would love for someone to take the time to read then please reply. I started writing on here back in september maybe even august. I had missed my period and was four weeks late, well on the fifth week i had a pretty heavy period for a day and a half then it was gone. I took about four test all were neg. I have tried and tried to continue to tell myself that i am not preg. because ever since then i started taking my pills again and have had a period every month though they have ended two days earlier than usual everytime. Well now i have been waking up in the morning with awful stomach feelings. Sometimes it hurts but most of all its just feels weird. I always feel bloated esp. after i eat i mean im out there. I have agined weight and its just not normal for me. I have always wieghed about 120. Well in three months i gained ten pounds. i am now 130. My stomach just these pased few days is just to even bigger. Could this be just a growth spirt im 21 years old. I have gotten light headed a few times today being one of them. MY stomach right now feels so large i feel extremely bloatedlike i have never felt before, to where it almost hurts. Please i know this was long but please give me some feed back than you so much for your time. Also i wanted to know that since i have been gaining weight i have started working out i run a mile or a little more two to three times a week. IF i am preg. will this have hurt me? Please someone help me!

if you have any feeling you are pregnant then you shouldnt be taking the pill.. stop taking it and use condoms for now. have you had a blood test? Pills can make you gain weight and make your body go all crazy. Have you been docs?

megan if you have any sort of preg tissue in you it can trick your body into thinking it can be still pregnant. would get that checked incase this is the case.

with both of my children I was 8 weeks pregnant before it was show up as positive... I must have really really slow hormones... I took 3 tests with my last one only a few days apart and it wasnt until I hit 8 weeks mark that it showed up possitive... so i was still testing negative at 7 weeks. I now feel like I am pregnant again but so far all tests are neg... but I would only be about 4 weeks so in theory i have to wait another 4 weeks to find out... usually just before my period is due my breast hurt so so badly and this time they havent... it is all very strange.. I have had two children so you would think that I would know what it feels like but this is so different but my b.temp is still high so Im pretty sure that I am...

I've been off depo since the beginning of May. Since September I have been feeling symptoms of pregnancy. nausea, vomiting, fatigue, sore breast. Since then I've taken hpt after hpt and they have all come back neg. In Oct. I went to a doctor that gave a urine pt and that was negative. I went to another doctor this month and that urine test was neg. Their explanation is that I am coming off the depo and so it is common for me not to have a period. However, while on depo I had some sort of bleeding each month. Even after I stopped I had some sort of bleeding. The last time I spotted was in August. My belly is beginning to protrude and my breast are still sore and have gotten larger. I am still feeling fatigue. I am becoming depressed, because I am feeling like I am just getting fat. My stomach is the only part of my body that is growing. I am 31 and I have a 3 year old. I was on depo before I had him. I stopped it. 6 months later I had a pos. hpt. Am I crazy. I truly feel like I am pregnant. How do I convince my doctor to go beyond the urine pt.
