Hi All I just want to share what happened to me. I have been trying to have a baby In December i msed my Period i started to think i was pregnant, i had very light spotting one week after when my period was due. From one week after that i thought i might be pregnant and i started gradually getting pregnancy symptoms I felt Headaches, Backpain, Frequent Urination at night. My breasts went very large and sore all the time. I kept doing HPTs and all negative i kept remembering my relative whose HPT didnt show positive until she was 3 months pregnant. Yesterday i was calculating that if i was pregnant i would be 8 weeks pregnant. I was getting Happier that there is a posibility that i may be pregnant still until this morning. I got my Monthly Cycle this morning. Over 8 weeks thinking i was pregnant until this morning. I was very upset and i even cried because i was just dreaming of being pregnant. The day before i had a dream that the doctor was checking me and telling me i was pregnant. It is very sad i know it must have happened to a lot of people. I just learned from my experience that our bodies can sometimes get confused and can confuse us. I am going to try to let things flow with out being worried Now that i am not pregnant i will take care of my Body and start preparing my body physically for a healthy pregnancy before trying to get pregnant again . Being Late is not bad or wrong things just happen. Good Luck to all who are planing a pregnancy.

ZARA.... I can say that i am truly sorry! I too was in the same situation but in more than one cycle. I had a m/c in sept. and have been trying to get p/g since then. I missed my period the month of dec. and was hoping to be p/g all the signs were there, but all my hpt's and blood was saying neg. theres no feeling like that, the strong will and hope all to be swept away. 6 weeks late and finally got my period only to be in the same boat in jan. very late no signs of a/f and all tests neg. its heart wrenching when you want something so bad and then have it torn from you. so i am just left to let nature take its course it really sucks but what other option do i have. just to let you know to take care of yourself emotionally and maybe it'll all fall into place. good luck! and tissues to all!

Hey Liezel,
I tried emailing you but it came back undelieverable. my email address is Venessahuertas@yahoo.com if you want to try to email me. Anyways,How are you feeling today? I know what your going thru to feel alone,
I'm going thru the same thing here. My fiance is being a sweetheart
about all this but he too doesnt understand what I'm going thru. Thats
when its good to find websites like we did and find other women that are
going thru the same thing. I can empathize with you completely. As far
as my situation goes im totally confused. Heres whats happening, I didnt
get my period back in Nov. I took 3 Home PTs and went to the doctors
office where he gave me another one but they all came out neg. Then in
Dec. I got my period twice in the same month. So I went back to the
Doctors office and he told me I was fine, Now im in the month of Jan and
still no period. The Doc. wanted me to come back when i did get my period
to run some test but nothing yet, so im waiting until the month is over
to go back to the doctor and see what happens. so thats whats happening
with me. Talk to you soon.

Hey Mandy I am new to this site! I read your story, and I almost cried You are not alone. In August I had a misscarriage, and did not have any sighns of being pregnant at all. I started bleading really bad and my friend took me to the hospital, because it was not regular blood from a period, it had a lot of clots. Right before they did a pelvic exam he took a blood test and it showed as negative! T hen when he did the Pelvic Exam The doc said that The mouth of my wound was open, and i was Having a misscarriage! Now I think I am pregnant again, and I keep taking test keep going to the doctor, and the test keep saying NO! I keep asking them to do an u/s but they will not I always feel fluttering in my stomach I don't know if its gas or a baby! And I also am a smoker sometimes cigarette smoke makes me sick! I have also had sharp pains in my breast, and last month the day I was suppposed to come on my period I had a spot of blood then it went away I also missed my period this month too! I have strech marks, weigt gain and lower back pain and shoulder, but I'll just have to wait, and see or go somewhere that will give me an Ultra sound. I also have constipation, and I just feel like I am! But just Keep in touch let me know how things are going, and I will do the same for you1 Continue to not smoke, and If your religous always pray, because God does answer prays!

jennipoo - January 30th, 2006 12:18 AM

Hi.. I kind of have a silly question.. has anyone ever had a vaginal exam by an ob when you THINK you would be about 7 weeks along.. and be told that you were not pregnant...and find out that you really were pregnant after you had an ultrasound????? Is it possible for a doctor to miss a pregnancy like that early on?

Sandy - January 31st, 2006 10:06 AM

Well, it's months later now, and I finally have answers. I have two HUGE fibroid tumors (as big as a baby's head), and an ovarian cyst. I'll be having a hysterectomy at the end of February.

Sparkle.Seraphim - February 1st, 2006 10:40 PM

Dear Sandy,

So so sorry to hear about the hysterectomy. That must have been very disapointing for you. Thanks for sharing your story with us... Is there any way that you can ask for a second opinion about the need for the hysterectomy, as opposed to having an op to remove the offending objects? Doctors can sometimes be rather blase about disposing of female body parts. At 41, you still have time to have that baby together. I wish you the very best whatever the outcome is.

My doc had a perfunctory prod, and when I phoned her a month later she said that we should wait for another month and see if my period arrives, or if I become more obviously pregnant. I haven't had a period since some brown spotting at the end of Nov., which I thought was breakthrough bleeding. Since late December I have had 4 neg pregnancy tests.

Thanks to everyone else who posted here. It has helped me so much just to know that other people are going through this too. One thing is for sure - doctors can be too casual about it all. People deserve the chance to access advice, care and support, not to mention the joy of knowing about any pregnancy, instead of being left in limbo for months.

All the best,
Sparkle Seraphim

Sandy - February 2nd, 2006 1:12 AM

Thanks for your concern. I would prefer to not pursue a second opinion, because it will be a relief to put my periods to an end now. I've been having the most AWFUL periods of my life. During my last period, I was bleeding so bad, that I was changing tampons every 30 minutes - Super Plus size. And it lasted for 14 days.

As a result, my iron and hemoglobin are very low. I'm anemic and just wiped out!

The tumors are as big as a baby's head, and I just feel miserable all the time. I am exhausted, and heavy from the tumors. It's just like being pregnant....at full term. I've heard that sometimes the tumors can weigh 50 pounds, so I'm looking forward to getting rid of that weight!

At 42 years old, I'm young, but not that young. I've already had 3 children, and my husband had 3 from his first marriage, so we're fine with what we have.

Marian - February 2nd, 2006 6:02 AM

SANDY - You are so brave!! It's wonderful that you have already had you family and that you are happy with that, but don't be afraid to let yourself grieve because it is still a loss. I'm happy that you will be better than normal after the event and wish you good health and happiness in the future.

Marian - February 2nd, 2006 6:10 AM

SPARKLE - I understand all about Limbo and the highs and lows. My LMP was 11 Dec and I am now 4 weeks late. ( I'm never late!) 12 weak positive hpts with 3 different brands - all excited then 3 Negative blood tests and 2 negative Dr's Urine Tests. After that all my hpts started reading negative. Then 3 weak positive hpts followed by 5 negative hpts. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster! No sign of AF arriving, feel like a beached whale that swallowed a basketball, swollen full breasts, but not sore. I have an US booked for Saturday so hopefully I will get some results. I know how upset I'm going to be if they don't find a baby in there!! Reading all or fhe stories on this forum site gives me hope so I guess time will tell. Good luck too you. I hope you soon get the results you want.

megan - February 2nd, 2006 2:14 PM

MARIAN..... Your story sounds all too familiar. I too am in the same boat, we've been trying since my miscarriage in sept. my period following the miscarriage was normal no D&C, and every month since has been the same weeks late pos, neg results depending on where i go blood all neg, eventually the results came up neg, is it possible you had an early miscarriage, watch you period and make sure its normal and I wish all the luck to you. we'll be back in the same boat im sure in 2 weeks wondering whether or not were pg, one day!!

Jennifer - February 5th, 2006 8:14 AM

I am going through the same thing. I went to the health depatment on Thurday to get a blood test. Maybe you should too. Good Luck!

Shanda - February 6th, 2006 12:04 AM

Girl this is crazy!!! I thought that i was the only one that this was happening to. Well im really just confused because i have had about 7 test done (negative). Went to the E.R. Doc. said(negative). But at the same time i feel negative? What does this mean? Maybe i should just demand an ultrasound!!!!!11

Toni - February 6th, 2006 12:09 AM

I have taken about 5 test and they were all negative. doctor even told me i wasnt (pregnant) I still had light periods sometimes two in one month. I am now 5months pregnant

Aussie Mercedes - February 6th, 2006 1:44 AM

Hi MEGAN - Thanks for your reply!! Marian here! I know I haven't miscarried this time around because I still haven't had my AF and I am now 2 AF's late. If pregnant would be 8 1/2 weeks. I lost my first child to miscarriage at 9weeks, but I knew I was pregnant at 1wk late AF. The pregnancy showed on hpts, and the dr's urine test. Blood tests a couple of weeks later also showed positive. Generally speaking my AF is like clockwork and I have a 26-28 day cycle. The only time I have EVER been this late is when I was pregnant. I had an US on Saturday and they said they saw a 7mm fibroid in the uterus, couldn't find a pregnancy intra or extrauterine, and that there is a 2cm cyst on my (L) ovary. But I have skipped my 2nd AF and I look like I'm about 4mths pregnant which is totally bazzaar and I don't fit into my clothes because of my bulge which has now gone hard and tight. My breasts are enlarged, full and today the nipples have become sensitive to touch. My sense of smell has also become heightened and odours appear so strong to me that I almost want to throw up. My husband is also now starting to call me bear because I'm tired all the time. No sign of morning sickness, but I never had any with my first. What can I say - confusing times!! I've got a specialist appointment on Thursday and I'm thinking about not telling him that I had an US the other day because they seemed to be having trouble finding the (R) side of my uterus (mine is retroverted - back to front!) and letting a baby expert do the tests. I have heard of several other girls who got negative US - one of them even had 4 US 2 internal and 2 external, told no baby and just found out she is 21weeks pregnant, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'M SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS MEGAN - I know only too well the sadness attached to losing a longed for child!! I had the miscarriage from hell!! I also had NO D & C. Early + hpts are sometimes a sign of a chemical pregnancy - fertilized, but didn't implant, but AF is usually on time. Also, if you were pregnant you can actually test positive for up to 2mths after a miscarriage as your blood still has traces of HCG. I'm glad that I am in good company and I wish us both a happy outcome and a healthy baby(s) sometime in the very near future!! - Marian
