I HAD A LIGHT PERIOD TOWARDS THE END OF FEBUARY, TWO WEEKS LATER I STARTED HAVING FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS AND ALSO HAVING PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. HAD 3 TEST AT HOME WHICH SHOWS NEGATIVE. AND MY BELLY HAS STARTED SHOWING. I HAVE RESIGN MY SELF TO FAITH, I KNOW IN NEXT COUPLE OF MONTH IF AM PREGNANT MY BELLY WILL SHOW. SO BE STRONG SOME BABIES ARE MIRACLE

Hey Ladies- So things still havent changed for me. Except I've been reading up online about Phantom Pregnancy!!! Such a scary thing!! See women who want to be pregnant really badly can trick there body into believing that they are pregnant...they can stop there periods all together have all the symptoms even develop a womb and placenta but there will be no embryo....there belly will even grow and in some cases fetal movement that doesnt exisit will happen thats only in rare cases soooo ive read!!! So now im hoping im not psycho and not going through that.....i wanted to have a baby but i didnt wanna develop a sickness either lol...im gonna go to the doctor and have a blood test done if they say its negative im just gonna go with that and see if things start to progress wit my body...if i spit out a baby in 9 months i guess it means i really was pregnant LOL : ) thats how im starting to look at things...ooo yeah ive talked to doctors and some will tell u HPT arnt as effective as ppl make them out to be, because mostly of human error!! so when ppl tell any of u if the HPT says negative ur not pregnant keep in mind blood tests are the only sure proof u arnt keep ur hopes up!! even blood tests can be wrong...ive read stories on sites where women went through the exact samething as all of us and found out they were pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some women even at 8 months pregnant test negative soo ive read on sites...keep ur hopes up every1..and mandy let me know how things gooooo i really wanna know

I am 1 month late but all the hpt keep are negative.

ginni - April 4th, 2005 5:47 PM

I dont know what is wrong with me. My last period was feb 6, and I havent had another one. I feel tired and my breast are sore.I feel pressure in my lower abdomen I get headaches and nausia from time to time. I have taken about 4 hpt and all showed negative. Is it possiable to be pregnant and the hpt still read negative also is it ok for the baby if I produce such low hcg? The last time I tested was on the 17th of march. I just got so tired of going through the same thing over and over. I am just so very confused. My sister says if I was pregnant it would've showed when I took the test but my mom says not always I feel like i am being pulled in two directions. I wish someone will bring light to this situation. *** good luck

hi everyone. im right there with everyone. my last period was on feb. 22 so im two weeks late now and 4 neg. hpt. i starting having symptoms about week ago but they seem to be dying down. im only 19 and have no idea whats goin on. i have been on the pill for two years and have never missed a period they are always ontime. i cant get an appt. with my ob/gyn for another two weeks so im stressing. i quite smoking and starting taking prenatal vitamins just in case.anyway im looking forward to hearing what happens with everyone. i wish you all the best of luck.

heidi - April 5th, 2005 10:48 AM

hey ginni and robyn!! have lots of hope...i havent had a period since december 28th and have taken tons of HPT all of them being negative and each time i get more confused than the time before. Like ive said in my last entries HPT arnt as effective as they say! I've talked to so many women with the same problem and all of them were just as confused as we are right now. Most of them ended up being pregnant : ) Till you find out that you are just take really good care of urself. Eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of mike, and take prenatal vitamins. If you find out FOR SURE that u ARE NOT PREGNANT doing all of the above things wont harm you at all, will just make you more healthy and ur chances of conceiving even higher!!!!! : ) Baby Dust to all of you....I wish all of you luck!!

Hi everyone. Cross your fingers for me! I stopped taking Depo in 2003, and I started having my period in November. We've been trying since then to have another child. I was regular as a clock until February. Then, I was several days late, and when I had my period it was four days of spotting instead of 6-7 days normal. I didn't really think anything of it. March was 2 days of spotting, at 10 days late. Along with it, my breasts have been sore and tender since February. I'm getting motion sick in the car, even when I drive. I'm dizzy and seeing spots (had low blood pressure my first pregnancy), feeling fluttering in the stomach, have heartburn, and despite a healthy diet and exercise, I'm gaining weight. I've taken about 20 hpts since Feb, and they are all neg. I soooo hope I"m pregnant, and I have an appointment today with the obgyn. Please, wish me luck!

I am 18 days late for my period. I am very regular. I dont think I am having symptoms (never been pregnant before). I took a test this past Thursday which was 2 weeks past my period, and took one Friday morning. I dont know what I should do. I have read everyone's answers and I feel for them. this has never happened to me. I dont know whether to be happy or scared. I would like to have a baby, but havent planned on it. I am 21 and have been married for almost a year (a year next month). My story isnt anything like any of your stories. Please keep in touch with me. Im not sure when/if I should take another test. I want to know. If I am not pregnant what else could be wrong? What did yout doctors tell you when you went to the doctor about being so late? Did they give you an explaination? I am actually scared that I am not pregnant and that something is wrong with me. I

Becca,
I would wait a week from the last time you tested before you test again. I know my doctor told me that some women are just late from time to time from either pregnancy, stress, from not ovulating, or because of something else, but if you miss more than one period consecutively, then that’s when you need to be concerned. As of right now, I am 3 ½ months late. All of the pregnancy tests that I’ve taken have come out negative. I know for me, I can’t speak for everyone else, but they did a bunch of blood work. They checked all my hormones. The only thing they didn’t check was hCG. I finally went to the doctor when I was 7 weeks late, but unfortunately for me, I got no answers. After all my blood work came back normal, they referred me to have a trans-vaginal ultrasound done. I’m scheduled to have the ultrasound on the 13th of this month.

i hope that it all works out for all of you. i am just not sure how to keep my hopes high when every one keeps on trying to keep me down but its okay. i am going to make a appt with the dr and get a pelvic exam and an u/s the end of this month is there any other suggestions on what i should do.

Becca - April 6th, 2005 8:39 AM

Thanks Mandy. I have read your story. I cant believe it. You turn to doctors and they should know what is wrong. This Friday I will be 3 weeks late. Everyone has been telling me that if I was pregnant that the test would have shown up positive. From the stories I have read I know otherwise. I hate hearing it from people that say it with such certainty. I work at a lawfirm and everyone thinks they know what they are talking about. I think that if I dont start my (.) by this Friday, I will take another test, then schedule a doctors app. Keep me updated with your diagnosis.

I have an 18 year old daughter who is now 2 months late for her period. She took her last set of birth control pills and then had unprotected sex a few days later. She has taken 3 home pregnancy tests, and went to the clinic for one and all came out negative. She is really worried that their is something seriously wrong with her. I can't wait to show her all the posts of you girls in the same boat. She really feels pregnant! People at work who didn't even know her situation have asked her if she was. I can't wait to see how this all pans out. I am also anxious for the 13th to find out what is going on with Mandy is it? God bless you all and I just hope that everyone gets the blessing that they want. Remember children are a GIFT from God no matter how they ended up being conceived.
Love and prayers to you all,
Connie

Okay, went to the doctor. Basically, he told me that it would be a waste of money to do the testing (since my insurance doesn't cover pregnancy tests) because he couldn't do anything for me anyways at this stage. That I should keep eating healthily, exercising, take some care. And call him either at the end of the month or when I have my next period, whichever comes first. If I don't have a period by the end of the month, they will do a blood test. If I'm not pregnant, we're going to do provera/clomid route. I see what he's saying, and I have a bit more insight. As long as you are treating your body right, as if you are pregnant, then they basically figure we can wait it out. I don't like it much, but not much else I can do. He also said that my very light spotting could be a period and just be a little off. I still have "pregnancy symptoms". In fact, last night, I couldn't sleep at all because of "fluttering" in my stomach... I felt my son move at about 8 weeks... so who knows. Guess I'll just update everyone when I find something else out. *sigh*

stephanie - April 6th, 2005 11:57 PM

i havent had a period since feb 13. i have two small children and the only time i was this late was when i was pregnant with them.. I tested positive with both pregnancies but now i have taken nine hpt's all negative. i have a doc's appt tomorrow so maybe i wont get such a run around as some of you have. i am never this late and have been very nauseous, tired, pink spotting, backache. I am scared to go to the doctor because i am afriad of being dissappointed but i can also count my blessings from my two boys who are 23months and 10 months old.

Connie - April 7th, 2005 10:50 AM

I posted on 4/6/04 about my 18 year old having symptoms, no period and negative results...............She got her period this morning. :o( We were kinda hoping for a grandbaby. It is probably better this way. Although, I know how you all feel when all the symptoms are there and you finally resign yourself that you may be preg. then only to find out "Not" It is a sad thing.
Best of everything to all of you. Make sure you guys post when you find out results. I was looking at some old post from around Dec. Girls would say they were going in for u/s and then never let us know what happened.
Blessings to you all.....................
Connie

I will be 3 weeks late tomorrow. I have scheduled a blood test on Wednesday at 11:30. I will be out of work all day, but I will respond on Thursday. I hope everything turns out okay. Can a thyroid problem make you skip? I have not been diagnosed with a thyroid problem, but I noticed that alot of women say that when they have a blood test done that they also have there thyroid tested. Talk to you soon.
