Connie, that was an interesting post you left. It really makes you think. All of the pregnancy calenders ask for the date of your first day of your last mentrual period. So they start calculating from that day. Could I have got pregnant right before my period started? And if so then how long would I have to wait to take a test? Thanks for your help

I think they calculate by the date of the last period for a reference. I am pretty sure it takes into consideration from that date is so many days to ovulation. Like 7-14 something like that. I have not brushed up on it lately. Someone else may have better info. I just read on a web page that a girl on the b/c pill could get preg if she has sex during her period. I always thought that was unlikely. It also says possible if you miss a pill.

P.S. my daughter is feeling better this afternoon and evening. Enough to go help a friend put a bowflex together.
Oh, she went to the health dept. to get a refill on pills and they wouldn't give them to her because of her symptoms lately. They also made her take another preg. test just to prove she wasn't preg. They were very rude and she was so upset when she came home. By the way, it was neg.

I just looked up the ovulation thingy. If my period was due on say Jan 18th they say to count back 14-16 days and that would be when you should have ovulated during a 28 day cycle. That is just a rough est. There are several sites online you can see an ovulation calendar if anyone is interested. Just type in ovulation in the browser, you should come up with some hits.

Baby dust to you all......Im not really in the same boat as you all, but sort of....here is my story as short as I can make it. In Feb, my husband and I decided to stop using condoms. it was the first time in my life of not using condoms (i am 27 yo)...well I got a lot of pregnancy symptoms soon after that time, nausua in my throat rather than stomach if that makes sense, really sore boobs, sensativity to smells...blah blah...I took a few hpt's. then got a blood test, all BFN's. my period came and was odd.. i got brown discharge for 3 days, I ended up going to the ER for right side abdominal pain. the doc told me i had a swollen liver...so I got upset that night (originally told me I had hepatitis) my period then got heavier (as it does if I get super upset) but it was lighter in color and then ended that night....I had another blood preg test and its neg also...Now I am 3 -4 days late on my period...I have never been late in my life....took another HPT and its negative now.....I have a problem with my liver called "fatty liver"...my doc says this should make my period longer and heavier....not lighter or late. I no longer have the pregnancy symptoms, but no af symptoms either....I just wish I knew what was wrong with me. I have constant liver pain which is from the "fatty liver" problem. I just dont get it. AHHHHH I know there are some on here that didnt get a positive blood or hpt test till a few months in...but anyone ever had preg symptoms disapear (lasted only 3 weeks) and still be pregnant? Its probably all my liver, but its just odd that the first time we decide not to use protection, I get all this weird crap.

Hi ladies. I was reading everone's stories.and i can difenitly relate. i am 22 days late.took 2hp test and came back negative.i don't have regular periods, but the latest i have ever been as far as i can remember was 10 days. the main symptoms i have r fatigue, constipation, lower back pain, frequent urination and abdominal cramps. not really major pregancny symptoms but according to the books, these r possible symptoms. my friend who just found out that she is preganat had taken two hpt, the first one was negative, the 2nd was positive!!!
when my 1st test came back negative, i thought that is it. there is no way i could be pregnant, then i found this website and thought you never know.

My last period was middle of December and I've taken at least 4 HPT all were neg. I've had 2 blood tests which were also negative. Is anyone experiencing the same thing and were you pregnant or not? My mom said that when she was pregnant with me she hadn't had a period in 3 months and had neg. blood tests. Her doctor had her come in for a pelvic exam and said that she was pregnant... he knew by the color of her uterus. I thought blood tests were more reliable than that so I've thought nothing of missing my period for so long. I did see my doctor and she gave me medincine to start my period but it didn't work. I'm now on Premarin and have about 16 days left of it. 3 nights ago I had a sharp pain in my right pelvis area... it woke me up out of my sleep! That next day I made an app't with the doctor and she scheduled an u/s to check for pregnancy or cysts. I don't get why the doctor hadn't asked me to make an app't after the first prescription didn't work. I'm so frustrated at this point and worried that the medicine could have done damage if I'm pregnant. Has anyone had neg. blood tests and also no sign of a period after medication??? I'm hoping for good u/s results on Wed...

I have been reading your posts recently and was wondering if any of you temp and what your temps have been like?

My daughter is feeling better, no more dizzyness and ill feeling after she got her period the second day in. I am pretty sure that her negatives meant negative. If anything further developes I will let everyone know. She will be going in for her annual in a week or so and I am going to have them check her iron and stuff. Will try to check back on everyone to see how things are going. I pray that you all continue to stay healthy and find the cures for what ails yah. Make sure if you find out what ails you is a baby, to let us all know.

hey ya'll I wanted to give you an update. Let's see today I was leaking colostrum and like frida, saturday, and sunday i felt nausoues all day.... Umm I am waiting for the 18th...getting rather impatient though. Everyone that knows me and knows whats going on is like I am positive you are pregnant and only a doctor could be more positive. I am excited, but don't want to get my hopes up incase it is something else. I will let ya'll know what happens. TTFN~~

Hey Becca, I’m doing all right considering all my frustration, but I’m hanging in there. Hopefully I will get some answers on Wednesday. I will let you all know what I find out, and please do the same. I wish you the best of luck.

Mandy, I pray that God will give your doctor the discernment that he needs to find out what is going on with you. May he give you peace and assurance that all is well and in control and that tomorrow you will find answers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you gone to your doctor and told him your 7 weeks late and demand a blood test! Especially if your periods are usually normal??? Maybe you have other problems that need to be taken care of.

Connie- My appointment is at 2:30, so I will update you sometime after that.

Mimi- I've been there and done that about 8 weeks ago, and it was a waste of time. I got the run-around routine. They did do a blood test, but they didn't check for hCG, they checked my other hormones, which were all normal. So yeah, I'm not 7 weeks late, as of right now, I am 15 weeks and 4 days late, and I still have no answers. I'm having an ultrasound done later today, so hopefully I will get some answers as to what is going on.
