Hi
If you read the instructions you will find it says to ignore any lines on the ejected stick that goes for digital ovulation tests too!

It's so funny you ask that question ,
i am haveing the same problem i took one this morning that did the same thing . i was wondering if it really was a good test or not... the best thing for you to do is if you take it again and it's neg. and you are still late go get the blood test i know someone who kept getting a neg. on the home test but was pos. at the doctors....

Had the same thing happen to me, got a not pregnant result but had the 2 lines once i ejected the stick. Definately not pregnant as i came on this morning.

adrienne - August 25th, 2004 2:59 AM

I bought the clearblue digital today and got a negative this afternoon, but there was two blue lines when I pulled the stick out. I took another one tonight after holding my urine for several hours. It came up positive! We are now expecting our second child. I think I'll test again with a different kind in a few days, then go to my doctor.

I took the test and it read " not pregnant" and had 1 line. My test worked fine, and I had my period 3 days after taking the test.

CAN'T PEOPLE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS??
It clearly says to ignore any lines, its checking for two hormones, not just HCG so it gives very different results to normal HPT.

ANd it isn't a sensitive test, it only detects 50, so will be more accurate closer to 14dpo when period is due.
Other tests are less sensitive so might give + before this one, it doesn't mean this one was wrong, just that it needed more HCG.

As a matter of fact this happened to me tonight!! Although it was a faint line, it was still there. Thats why I am on the website to see if there may be any information.

well informed pee stickoaholic - September 6th, 2004 10:00 AM

go to www.peeonastick.com great website for pee stickaholics. they have alot of information on them the host of the site is located in florida where the hurricane was expected to hit so the site may be down a couple of day's just keep trying to go there but about the test it tests for two different horomones and compares the results not just hcg thats why two lines show up but the stick does not mean anything go by the result window if it says not pregnant than that means your not pregnant sorry but good luck for next time unless ofcourse your not trying to get pregnant

stefine - September 6th, 2004 1:28 PM

If you have to lines you are pregnant, I would retest. Perhaps it was just an error. Good luck!!!

Sherrilleta - September 6th, 2004 10:32 PM

Dying to know the same thing....two lines when ejected...prego or not?????

------ - September 6th, 2004 10:55 PM

the directions said to disregard any lines..they dont mean anything

tonya - September 7th, 2004 11:27 AM

ashley, i am in your boat right now. i am a 28 day cycle exactly and took the digital and i got the same thing you got, i have a lot of symptons of pregnancy, what did you do?

Freshy - September 8th, 2004 1:20 PM

I recently had this problem, its how I found this page. My test said not pregnant...stick showed 2 lines. I had bloodwork done yesterday and found out I'm 3wks 2 days along with an hcg level of 20. I looked at the unipath website and at the technical information and this is the only thing I can come up with. This test triggers a positive when HCG is 50. That second line is a result window and if there are 2 lines,,,,there are 2 lines and your pregnant. Mine was darker on the second day. you can email me at freshyhead@yahoo.com and I'll gladly email you the picture i took showing a darker line on the second test. I bet if I take the last digital test on sunday, it will show a pregnant. This is my experience. Take a look at the techincal brochure at this site and decide for yourself. http://www.unipath.com/downloads.cfm

Good Luck
Freshy
