Help - 4 X Faint Line Then Nothing

Hi, I THINK I am on a 40 day cycle i.e. only had one period after going off pill and that was at 40 days after last period. 40 days from my next period is next Tuesday (today is Thursday). I did a HPT on day 29 as I was nauseous and I got a very faint line. I did another one same day with same result so went for a blood test. Blood test came back "equivocal". Did another HPT next day and much darker line but not all the way across and still lighter than control line. Did another test the Monday which was the lightest of the lot and then I did another one today which is even fainter. Decided to use a different brand and there is nothing. What does this mean? Could i have been pregnant and lost it - but would I not have started my period then? I'm very confused and frustrated. Why would the line have gone from darker to lighter?

Sounds like you need a HCG test to check your horomone levels...if they are falling then this could be a problem, if they have climbed or plateued then you are in good shape. If you have lost the baby then it could take a couple days or a couple of weeks for your body to pass the tissue. Most likely you would know if you had (pulling sensation on your belly and spotting *bright red*) are signs to watch for. Best of luck Nix

Thanks for your comments. Today is 40 days since last period and still no sign of another one, not even lightest spotting. Did HPT this am and no line. If no period by Saturday I shall be visiting my GP and will let you know.
