Hi Terri, I am still ten days late and no period. i took another HPT yesterday and nothing. I had no idea that you could not ovulate at all. That has never happened to me before. Did the doctor say it was okay not to have your period for a few months?

Hi Patty, I just got my period. You wouldn't read about it would you! If you've skipped a period or two (and are not pregnant) then you haven't ovulated. My doc said that it can be due to stress or the stress of trying to get pregnant. It's like a catch 22 isn't it. The other thing, which I guess in my case is that I must have ovulated really really late. I wish you all the best, hope there's a little one growing inside of you now. I guess for me it's back to trying (although that's not all bad!! haha.) Best of luck.

Hey guys, im so glad im not alone it makes me feel much better! But im 6 days late and took a preg test that came back negitive.. I had sex the day after my period and he pulled out.. could i be pregnent ? Please help !!!

Hi, I have one son of 4 years of age, my partner and I are now trying for another child. I came off the pill 3 months ago & have had 3 regular periods, which I had regular periods before I went on the pill as well. I am now 8 days late coming on, I have done 2 home pregnancy tests and they are both negative, not even a show or faint line. When I fell pregnant with my 1st son the home pregnancy test's showed up 1st time, I had no negatives. Anyway I have just been on the phone to the doctors & I have an apt next week. I'm not convinced I am pregnant, I just want to go to the doctors to find out what's going on as if I am not pregnant then I'm worried there's something wrong with me, am I not ovulating ?? Maybe I'm trying too hard & it's stress ?? Obviously if I am pregnant then it will be great, but if that is the case why are the home pregnancy test's coming up as negative. So many questions, so few answers. I'll keep you all posted.

Clare, I'm in the same boat, sort of. Two kids, normal pg's to a "T". Tested pos. first time with both. Had one m/c in Sept. Next period was a week late and now I'm another tree days late with lote of symptoms. Now 6 tests lator, all neg. I'm wondering how my system got all screwed up.

Wow, I can't believe there are so many of us going through the same thing... Before I found this I was starting to think I was going crazy... I'm now 2 weeks late... I've taken a few HPT, but they have all come out neg... My breasts are almost always hurting, and my veins are more operant on them... I'm getting headaches all the time... I'm always thirsty, but even after dirking my lips and mouth still feel dry... I have to pee all the time, but then again as much as I'm drinking... though for the life of me I can’t have a BM to save my life... that started just about the time my period was due.. I was getting sharp cramps and I thought my period was going to start, but it turned out to be I had to have a BM, and when I do have one it’s only a small one... Is that normal? I'm also beyond tired all the time... by the time I get home from work I'm ready for bed... Then today when I was at the store I saw baby things, and I almost started to cry... My friend keeps telling me this is all in my head, and at this point I don’t know what to think... I'm going to see my Dr Thursday for a blood test... I hope to know something for sure by then... I wish the best for you all....

I had a m/c on July, The Aug. period was one week late, the Sep. period was 5 days late. And I record my temp, both time the period came 12 days after the temp rise, so I didn't worry because I knew I ovulated late. This is the advantage of the temp record. The Nov. period finnally got back to my old pattern which is 28 days. Now I think we can start try again. This also make me to think the three months waiting after m/c make sense. Because that is average time length your body need to recover back to normal.

thanks am. I to prefer the temp methe justcan't seem to record an accurate reading since I'm up all the time in the night because of my boys. Your story reassures me though. I'll just wait and see now without jumping to conclusions. Thanks again!!!

Boo hoo, hpt was right - period started. Longer cycle must definitely be stress related. At least I can get on and start fertility treatment now. Best of luck to the rest of you.

I'm new to the board. I came across this site while doing an internet search. I'm having a similar experience. I'm four days late and have taken 2 hpt's and they have both been negative. The really odd thing is that I'm on Clomid to help me ovulate, which is supposed to make me have a regular cycle. I know I ovulated this month (around day 14) because I had a cyst on my right ovary that ruptured as a result. I'm having pregnancy symptoms---swollen, sore breasts, nauseau, cramping off and on, discharge, etc, but both tests have been negative. I'm about to lose my mind. We've been trying for over a year now. Has anyone else been on Clomid and still been several days late?

So, I went to the Dr’s today to get my blood test and with the instance of them another urine test... I should know something in a couple days.... But I have to tell u about the visit... This was only my 2nd time seeing my new Dr, so she’s never done a full check up that we all have to do.... So she’s like why do you think your preg? Well, let me think um maybe because I had unprotected sex... Looks at when I last had my period.. I couldn’t remember my start date but I knew about that day I ended it (Sep 29) Well, I don’t think your preg but we can do a test if you want to... Umm yeah I want to still do a blood test just to be sure.... And that was it!!!!! She didn’t ask me how I was feeling or anything... Even if I'm not preg I haven’t had a period in 3 weeks you would think she might want to make sure that nothing is wrong with me.... I'm so looking for a new Dr... What do you all think?

hi Im in the same boat as you I have already taken 2 preganancy test and both are negative but i have signs of pregnancy i also have scheduled a blood test, my periods are normally on time do you think it was to early to take the pregnancy test if im only 6 days late??? please help

Apparently, six days late can still be too early sometimes according to some studies I've read in the past day or so. Some researchers took a sample group of ladies who were trying to get pregnant (and who had missed their period) and tested them to see how many of them had positive hpt. The doctor stated that a hpt can not detect a pregnancy if implantation has not occurred. In some cases, this happens after your missed period. I also have a friend who kept getting negative blood tests and hpts until she was 12 weeks pregnant. Not too comforting, I know. But, don't give up hope.

I'm going through the same thing!! I also have been VERY regular if not early, I'm late have done 3 tests all neg. On clomid and had the hcg shot to burst the folicles. They we're going to give me a pill to bring on my period, but I said what if I am preg, but the hcgs aren't that high yet. Most doctors office's hcg's read at 25 or higher. Some home tests the hcgs may not start at 50 or even 100. My suggestion, get the MD to get a hcg blood test done. It's very frustrating!! Unfortunately its pretty much a wait game. I feel preg. chest tender, lightheaded, nausiated, but got my hcg from the doctor today and they said it was negative, but giving it another week may be a good idea.

Another case of waiting here too...Since we just decided in the middle of this cycle that we were going to TTC again FOR SURE..we have not been temping or doing OPK's or anything YET. So we do not know when ovulation day was. We "babydanced" on cycle days 18, 19, 21, 24, & 25. For the past 3 cycles has been really regular either 28 or 29 days which I have not had in years!

On cd 28 I had some pink on the TP...even so little i thought I was seeing things..and thought she was showing..but could have been implantation spotting. No AF still as of yet. Day 33 now which is 5 days late

I am having very mild cramping..feeling like she is gonna show but just wont, and normally as soon as the cramping starts she shows.

I have taken 3 HPT's and one at the Dr's office. None were BFP of course but one ended up with a faint faint line that was more than likely an evaporation line..but none of the other tests had it. I checked my CP and CM today and its VERY watery and VERY soft and i believe HIGH but im not 100& sure about the high part cause I dont check that normally. Do you all think there is still hope for me or should I just wait patiently for the hag to show?

hey kelly. when i got pregnant with my first son, i was 11 days late, and got a positive response quickly. with my second son, i was maybe 1 week late, and the test took forever to read, and then the line was very faint. now i'm 4 days late, and two tests have said negative. i looked on the web, and most sites said wait until you are 1-2 weeks late because we ovulate at all different times. i have every sign of being pregnant- just not a yes sign. i'm praying for a girl. does any one know if hcg levels can vary from pregnancy to pregnancy? let me know. good luck kelly!
