hey kelly. when i got pregnant with my first son, i was 11 days late, and got a positive response quickly. with my second son, i was maybe 1 week late, and the test took forever to read, and then the line was very faint. now i'm 4 days late, and two tests have said negative. i looked on the web, and most sites said wait until you are 1-2 weeks late because we ovulate at all different times. i have every sign of being pregnant- just not a yes sign. i'm praying for a girl. does any one know if hcg levels can vary from pregnancy to pregnancy? let me know. good luck kelly!

Glad I'm not alone! I'm 6 days late and failed the home pg test. I know I was ovualting at Haloween bc used ovulation stick. Guess I should just wait. Tiny bit of brown spotting over last two days - that's all. Now I know not to freak out, just wait....wait.... wait. That ain't so easy to do. Got a big fibroid too, that makes things complicated, but means I should bleed more not less..... ob/gyn says I can still get pg... maybe....... fingers crossed. Don't trust any sign of pg I've had them all before.... made them all up I'm sure..... started trying 9 years ago. New partner now, perhaps this time it IS for real.

Well, my dr's office called and the blood test came back neg... So if I'm not preg then I'm not sure what's going on 3 weeks and still no period.. I guess i'm just goign to to have to wait and see...

CC I can understand your thoughts on getting a new doctor. You need someone who you feel comfortable with. Of course you wanted it know if you were pregnant or not, but as part of that you wanted to know why on earth your period was 3 weeks late! Now you have test results but no answers. We are all on a long journey, of which pregnancy is a significant milestone, and we need medical professionals who will support us along the way. I've only visited my dr twice, he's a really old fellow, and when I mentioned that I was trying to get pregnant he said "Perhaps you should get married first". Well, life's not THAT simple when you are nearly 35, have a 9 year history of infertility and are waiting from old divorce issues to be completely resolved. So, I'm not sure I wanna see him for my "maybe I am, maybe I'm not" blood test.

Glad to hear I'm not alone! My last period was October 17. We BD/DTD multiple times over Halloween weekend. About 9-10 days later I noticed some crampy, bloated feelings in my belly, sore breasts, very tired, and a serious appetite! On November 13 I had some extremely light pink "spotting" off and on during the day, nothing on the 14th, and then some intermitten extremely sparse brown spotting on the 15th and 16th. On the morning of the 13th I had some achy cramping in my belly and lower back that lasted about an hour or so. Since then I have continued to feel bloated, hungry, and tired. My breasts actually felt better up until a day or so ago when they began to feel sore again, even having occasional "twinges" of pain. I have had a few days of upset stomach/nausea, but with no real pattern. I am now having creamy CM and peeing all the time. Temps dropped during the couple of days of quasi-spotting, and have gone back up. The catch is - I have had FOUR negative HPT, including one this morning. Augh! I have always been regular like clockwork - for 15 years, on and off the pill - every 27 or 28 days, no more, no less. I'm debating the blood test.... any thoughts? My mother told me that it took almost 4 months for her to get a positive test with me!

Well My question is answered...AF showed up yesterday. Oh well that's ok tho..now we can keep better track of it with the temping/opk charts. Good Luck to all others TTC! *Babydust*

I'm 3 days late. took 5 hpt's, all but one had a verrrry faint line so faint you had to squint to see it.Had a blood test today-neg. I was dumbffounded, I just KNEW I was PREGGERS. I'm not sick, but I do have very tender breasts and cramps, but no sign of period. My husband and I have been trying for 5 yrs. I'm 30 and really want a child. Can blood test be wrong?? I go back Wednesday, 11/24 for another blood test. I'll stay in touch...

Lara, You could be pregnant, the spotting could be implantation bleeding.It also could have been a very light period, but if it's not characteristic of your periods I would caution to say that it was your period. How late are you??

AF arrived this morning, 22 days after positive ovulation test i.e. about 8 days late. Today hasn't been too bad, was worried it could be early m/c and lots of pain.... but no.

Keep the faith Cindi. Never ever punish yourself for hoping!!

Thanks Lara.. SOrry to hear ur not preg..I"m now 4 weeks late... I'm not sure what to do at this point.. I got the blood test(last thursday) back from my dr and it was neg... is it possible to get a neg blood test and still be preg? My friend at work said i might not show up yet becuase i would only be 4-5 weeks if I was..... I guess i will just wait another week or so and take another test and try and get int o a new dr

I am on the shot so I don't have my period to go off of but i have been having some of the tell tale signs and when I took one of those home tests the other day, it came out negative.I'm gonna go in a few days and get a blood test done.

hi my husband and i have been trying for past 4 months and want to be pregnant so bad. I ahd intercourse november 16 and expect my period between the 26 to the 30. i usually start my period with light spotting and then heavy bleeding. i have had spotting for 3 days and do not feel crampy. Tested 1 pregnancy test today on the 29 and it came out as negative what should i do.

I got my period on Oct 25 and have taken prego tests from 3 diff. brands since 3 days before I was due for my period. they are all negative. But I'm 8 days late and, like many of you, am NEVER late. My mom told me we should think about the fact that it's the holidays and people travel, etc and that changes our cycles. So those of us who are usually regular, may just be late. Regardless, I'm going to do a blood test to me sure. I have had cramping, nausea, tenderness, etc as well - I wonder how much of it is in the mind? Ugh.

Hi there everybody, well i guess you wont get many letters like this so here goes! Basically, the bottom line is im 9 days late and me period has been like clockwork for a couple of years now, i had sexual intercoarse a few weeks ago but the partner withdrew, took a HPT today, came out negative (i think, just one pink line!) never used one before but followed the instructions carefully so pressume i did it right, but i feel very iffy. My stomach is bloated (im a size 8, my bellys now a size 10) yet a little "bouncy" as in not hard but not soft as usual. i'm really not sure whats going on, but theres one thing ive failed to mention...im 15. Is it normal for teenagers to go through this? Ive had VERY heavy discharge which is clear, so im stumped. i have symtoms yet i heard its normal? HELP!!!!! xxx
