Hi there everybody, well i guess you wont get many letters like this so here goes! Basically, the bottom line is im 9 days late and me period has been like clockwork for a couple of years now, i had sexual intercoarse a few weeks ago but the partner withdrew, took a HPT today, came out negative (i think, just one pink line!) never used one before but followed the instructions carefully so pressume i did it right, but i feel very iffy. My stomach is bloated (im a size 8, my bellys now a size 10) yet a little "bouncy" as in not hard but not soft as usual. i'm really not sure whats going on, but theres one thing ive failed to mention...im 15. Is it normal for teenagers to go through this? Ive had VERY heavy discharge which is clear, so im stumped. i have symtoms yet i heard its normal? HELP!!!!! xxx

I was wondering if anyone could give me some answers. I just went off of birth control last month, and I had a really weird period. I bleed on and off for a whole week and sometimes it would be heavier and sometimes it would be barely any blood. The heaviest I ever had only filled about half of a super tampon. I was wondering if this is enough blood not to be pregnant or could I be pregnant? I am having some symptoms, like sore nipples, a little nausea. All of the test I have taken have been negative. Could anyone give me some advice? I just need to know for sure for my own sanity. Thanks!

I'm 5 days late for my period. I'm always on time and have never missed a period. It takes exactly 32 days from the start of one period to the next. I haven taken about 6 HPT all negative. I've tried, First Response, EPT, Clear Blue and a 'no-frills' test I found off the internet. I'm going out of my my thinking about it. If I'm not pregnant, I would love for AF to show up so that I can try again! I am scheduled to go to the doctors today. I'm hoping he'll give me a blood test. I want to be pregnant so I'm wondering is it in my head?... but then I stop to think, that I didn't imagine the strange taste in my mouth at about 10 dpo and I did not imagine the fact that I can't stop burping! Where is my period?? The only advice I can give is to the women that are trying to get pregnant is to order a more sensitive preg test. To anyone who really knows the answer to my question? I was 3 days late for my period and did 2 home pregnancy tests both resulting negative. I then went to my doctor and had a blood test done, it came out negative. But the bizarre thing is I'm experiencing all of the similar symptoms of being in my 4th or 5th week of pregnancy. I know that it sounds like I'm obsessing about being pregnant but I truly am feeling very ill. I've gone to see another doctor and I'm still waiting for some blood tests results. My question to anybody that reads this: Is it possible to still be pregnant even if you had a blood test done? thank you i look forward to hearing from someone...

Bec- Your post sounds like what happened to me, too. I have been off BCP for about 6 months, and my cycles have been LOOONG! 44 days, 41 days, 37, 35, then 37 again, Now I am on 43 and still waiting.... the waiting is so frustrating! But when I have had my period, it has been short (4 days at most). Not heavy bleeding, either. So is this normal? Who knows! Just wanted to let you know I am in the same boat.... hope we all get answers soon! The symptoms that you have been having happened to me too, right after coming off of BCP. Also sometimes it takes a long time for your cycle to get normal after BCP. My doctor told me 6 to 12 months before regular cycles!! yuck.

Thanks for reply Karen. I am glad to know someone is going through the same thing I am. It is so miserable having to wait and see. I was also wondering if with this you had a strange discharge. (too much info sorry) I have just heard that after you stop taking birth control you are supposed to get a heavy period? I am usually very regular. When do you think HCG would show up on a home pregancy test? I am really anxious. Thanks!

Geez, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm currently 11 days late, and about 3 days ago, I thought I started my period - I wiped and it was pink like when you first start, so I showered and put in a tampon. About 8 hours later, I went to change it and there was nothing. I also normally get horrific cramps - and I got NO pain this time. Still no period. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. I know there can be a "faint" positive, but what about a "faint" negative? The negative line was very faint. I'm calling to make a doctors appt. today. I'm so scared. We're not trying, but I hope I'm pregnant. I'll be devastated if I start.....

P.S. Good luck to all - who thought having a baby was so hard?

it does sound positive i can tell you with my first son i had numberous pregnany tests donr by doctors and myself until i was further on it became positive it might be that it is to early to tell on the test suggest you wait a week or so then do another one i think i am pregnant again and the same thing is happening to me and i have all the right symptoms.

I share your situation, I am 6 days late, regular, but my test (Urine and blood) were negative. I have been told that the test were too early.
I am having all the pregnancy symptoms, and I charted myself last month to see when I would be fertile.

Bec- I am not sure when the levels would be high enough for you to test positive. But for me my first period after going off BCP was very light and short (a couple of days.) It has been that way since coming off BCP. And on the pill I was extremely regular, even to the hour of when I would start feeling cramps, and then start bleeding. But now? Forget about it... I'm lucky if I can narrow it down to the week! Good luck, sorry I don't have any advice.

Hi everyone! I was just seeking some advice from you all.... I had some bleeding but it only lasted about a day and then I spotted really dark,brownish blood for about 3 days. very light. My breast are sore. I took 3 pregnancy test and they all came back negative. I took them last week. I don't know if i should take another one or not. I don't feel myself. My periods are usually very regular about 5 days medium flow. This was very wierd to me. I just want to know why my breast hurt for the past 3 weeks.. Someone please help me. Thank you

Ladies, I have had the same problem you have been having...being late when usually like clockwork...taking a gazillion negative tests...having symptoms of early pregnancy...I just wanted to let you know that you should make sure to ask for a QUANTITATIVE blood test. This lets you know how much HCG is in your blood, not just if there is some. Also, if you're pregnant, they end up doing this test anyways...so you kinda skip a step! :) My pregnancy didn't take, but I'm having those symptoms again...10 days late! :) Good luck to all of you! Also...don't feel frustrated, a girl I work with was four months pregnant before she finally got a positive test! Talk about crazy, but it happens!

Hi Kelly, Judging by a lot of the message boards I've been reading on the internet, you're not alone. I have read that it is possible for some women ovulate more than once a month so it might be harder to pinpoint the date of conception and you might just be testing too early. I have also read that there are some women who have gone until their 7th week of pregnancy before showing a positive test result. I came of the pill in June and have had regular periods since, however, I have not had a period since 23rd October and I'm now 12 days late. I have since taken six home pregnancy tests, all of which have turned out negative. I have noticed the following symptoms: - severe heachaches (I don't normally suffer from headaches!), Slight nausea in the evening, peeing a lot, heavy bloating (by the look of my stomach somedays you would think I was 6 mths pregnant), Extreme thirst in the middle of the night, Tiredness (but have trouble falling asleep), Nightmares, increased sense of smell. Has anyone else had theses symptoms but taken a long time for a positive result to show?

Hi Kate, I just read your forum and I have been experiencing all the same symptoms, I am not late yet, however I did take a couple of HPT and they turned out negative, I am going to wait until I am a couple days late (this weekend) until I test again.
