Maribeth- well good luck and baby dust to you! I just called for my test results (blood test) and I'm sitting here a mess at work! It took me like 20 minutes to get up the nerve to even call!! I'm trying to be positive (literally! LOL) and not be too disappointed if it's neg...wish me luck! It's day 6 and still no p....

i took a pregancy test 8 weeks ago and it was positive going to see doctor next week to confirm im pregnat but i thought i would do another one just to make sure but it keeps coming back negative why is this when i ahve had nothing but morning sickness and all the otherthings u ahve when u r pregant please help

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant AS WELL... 6 days late and negatives on two hpt's!!!! The days are going by so slowly!!!!!!

Just an update, found out last night, I AM PREGNANT!!! The negative blood test result was wrong...whoever read it to me first must have been an idiot! So begins my journey. Don't give up hope girls, I had 3 negatives and what I thought was a negative blood test and I am now pregnant!!

I think it to early to find out . Sometimes you could get your period later with the same symtoms.

Ok.. so now I'm 7 days late and at Negative hpt number 3 as of this morning. My husband and my mother think I'm nuts. ...probably true.
This is my first cycle off of *the pill* (5 years on the pill), and I was never one to be regular before I started the pill. SOOO.. although I've had a couple of the more obscure pregnancy symptoms, I know good and well that I'm probably NOT pregnant. BUT I really want to be pregnant.
Could it really take a year?

Patience, It could take about 3-4 months for your cycle to become regular again after you stop taking the pill. However, you can concieve as soon as you stop taking the pill, you just have no way of know when in your cycle you will ovulate. It can take many couples up to a year to concieve. My husband and I have been trying for 6 months with now luck yet. I too went off the pill, but at the end of September. My parents tried for a year and a half for their first (But then had 4 more pretty easily after that). So it really depends on the couple. I wish you the best of luck!

The difference between us is that I took a few HPT's that were negative. My blood test was told to me as 'negative' only to find out 3 days later from the DOCTOR this time, that I was indeed pregnant and the results were positive. The only reason I called the Doctor again after the neg blood test is because I did not get my period and took a Positive HPT the night before (that would have been HPT #4). I would suggest calling your dr. and tell them that you got a positive HPT, see what they say from there. Good luck!

Hello Dina I have had the same thing .I am like clockwork also and I was 5 days late . My husband and I thought I was pregnant . We were having ... and the next thing you know I had cramps then I bled. This only lasted for 2 1/2 days . Pregnancy test but not the answer I wanted . Please let me know how your blood test came out . Have any of you had this happen?

I can't advise, but I am going through the exact same thing. 7 days late now, last test took when I was 3 days late and was neg. Taking blood test today. I also had light bleeding for an hr and stopped. Could I still be pregnant?

I am having the same problem. I'm only late for 4 days but I have all the pregnacy symptoms bloating, sore breast, constipation... I had 3 HPT negative, and a negative blood test. I'm going to wait until sunday to do another HPT and will go again to drs office for another blood test. I had two miscarriages before, and I'm having the same pregnancy symptoms I did before. I even wake up every day in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom without taking a drop of water at night!!
I am praying and hoping that next week it will give me a positive!!

I'm going through the same thing. I'm 3 days late and I've taken 3 HPT's. They all came out negative. I'm about to die not knowing whats going on. I have a 2 yr old daughter, but I dont want anymore children. I know that HCG doubles each day, so those tests should detect it if I am pregnant, right?
