Hi all. I am about 9 or 10 days late. feel very tired, feel sick to my stomach in the evenings, and have been getting headaches. I took one HPT but it said negative. Should i just skip the HPTs and get a blood test instead?

Are you using first morning pee? There are enough women do not get positive home preg tests until two weeks late that the possibility still exists. If you can't get a positive by the time your second period comes up light or missing, it is time to call the doctor anyway. Good luck to you all!

Hi Kelly, I am in the exact same boat as you, i am today 6 days late and im having all the symptoms of pregnancy but the tests are showing negative?? i've got an appointment for blood test this afternoon to see if i can get the truth, sorry this message isnt of any use to you but i cant believe your the same as me. I thought a negative test would mean NOT pregnant, if thats the case where the hell are out periods!!!!!! x

err.. what are you going on about?? i dont want to be pregnant, if anything im thinking about being on not being pregnant!! and some tests do lie FYI! my sister had 4 negatives and the blood test proved she was pregnant!

To LauraLynn, you can absolutely be pregnant and get negative results on tests...sounds like you're the one who needs to do more research. And why are you so angry and feeling the need to go after all the women who get negative tests so aggressively? YOU are the one that needs a reality check. There are many women out there who don't get a positive reading on pregnancy tests, EVEN quantitiative blood tests, until they are 3, 4, 5, even 6 months pregnant! Some NEVER get a positive test and give birth to healthy babies. BLOOD TESTS do lie! It all depends on the woman. Some women have lower hcg levels than others. Some test too early. Some only find out by doing an ultra-sound. Just because it is not the norm, doesn't mean it does not happen. Why don't you poke around a little more and do some research yourself before you go spouting off about what you think? All you managed to do was sound ignorant. DEAL WITH IT!!!

im very stressed out. Last month i had my period for a half of a day, im usually a day or two late every month because im anemic, but Im now 6 days late.
with 4 negative tests. I have never been pregnant before but I feel like I am...
btw we use the pull out method
I have to use the restroom all the time, Im so tired all i do is sleep or nap.

im get warm on my face and arms, my lower stomach feels so weird like it's expanding, im bloated and very gassy

i can't explain it I just feel like " I know im preg"

Hi everyone, i was looking for answers online and came upon this forum. I am a week late and am having a lot of pregnancy symptoms. I have tender breasts, vaginal discharge (i have no stds), constipation, lower abdominal pain and feeling of fullness, lightheadedness, nausea, always hungry, frequent urination, always tired, light cramping and every day i think im getting my period but it doesnt come, the list goes on and on. well, the day of my missed period i took a hpt and it was negative, then again the next day it was neg again. i know that i was fertile during the time i had unprotected sex. Im not sure whether i am pregnant or not because i know my missed period could be due to stress. If i were to be pregnant i would be happy. oh, another thing, i had recently gotten off BC pills so that may be the reason of the missed period. Can anyone tell me if they have gotten a positive after a few negatives?

Hello, I have been to this site before. HOwever, now I have another question. Ok, first, background. I have 2 children. My son is 9 and with him I had neg. urine tests till about 7 weeks. With my 3 yr old daughter my blood didn't test positive till I think they gaged me at about 3 weeks. Ok, now i went to hospital for "vertigo". They did urine..neg. told doc i didn't trust it. they did qual blood...inconclusive. 2 days later..another qual. blood...inconclusive. 3 days later quan. blood less than 5. What does this all mean? I had "oopsie" at ovulation time but got my period this month. HOwever, i also got my period the first month i was preg. with both my children! Alot of my levels were also off. Potassium way low and had to get a suppliment. Please help!! ReneeNay, thought Quantitative was best. You can still get neg result? I would have been about 4 weeks when i took it and had started bleeding the day before. PLEASE HELP!!

Funny enough im in the exact same boat, im 6 days late and every test i have taken has come up negative. i have had 2 children and both were nothing like this. I have also got a blood test and now waiting for results. i have alot of the pregnancy symptoms, yet nothing has come up yet!

I'm 6 days late too and have had 3 negative pregnancy tests. I'm going to wait one more week before having a blood test because I dont want to spend the money just to get my period the next day. GL!

i'm 6 days late. took one preg test, and it was negative. i have a lot of discharge. and i barely could eat. because i just get nauseous. i have headaches all the time, and heartburn throughout the day. i've gotten cramps twice, and they were both late at night. is it possible to be pregnant??

Hello all! I am 8 days late and no sign of a my period. usually regular with regular pms symptoms, but none so far. I had a little case of vertigo about three days ago and felt faint, mild naseua (can't spell) on some days. I have had a chemical pregnancy before with the classic symptoms, but this time I just feel different. I feel like I know i'm not getting my period, but there's that little voice in my head that is telling me I might be pregnant, I'm going in a week to see my gyno and see if this isn't Polycystic ovary syndrome--which case it might.

Hi I'm going through the same thing my period is now 8 days late and I've taken 2 hpt and they both came back negative..I have pregnancy symptoms and had some spotting like 10 days ago. I was pregnant before and miscarried but when i took a pregnancy test 1 out of 3 was negative so I'm kind of skeptical of hpt. I'm going to the doctor this week to see whats going on.
