So there is hope! I was four days late with my first pregnancy before the test came out positive. It was at least 4-5 days with my second pregnancy before the test came out positive. Now we have been trying for four years for the third. I am three days late. Took a test on the first day and the third day, both negative. I am waiting a while longer. Do have some clear discharge, is that a sign of being PG? Good luck to all.

leigh - you lucky gal! At least you don't have to wait around n agonise whether you might be pregnant or not. Good luck!

CONGRATS LEIGH!!! That's awesome news. Well I went for my ultrasound today and I know absolutely nothing! The tech. was a real by the book b**** and didn't tell me anything. She even kept the screen turned so I couldn't see a thing. I will get results back probably Tues. b/c Mon. is a holiday. UGH! I hate the waiting...

Hi everyone. I am 12 days late and have taken 3 pregnancy tests all negative. At 7 days late the doctor did a blood test also negative???? My periods are also like clockwork, only other time i missed my period i was pregnant. Last time the test was positive the first try. Confussed please help.

I started bleeding early this morning. :( So I guess no luck for me. That would mean I'm not pregnant like I would have hoped. Sigh. Good luck to all the other women here. Joey! I read your story and mine was just like yours! Ovulating..withdrawal..symptoms! The works! I was positive I was pregnant also! I took a few tests..but no they were negative :( . Exactly when I was 3 weeks late - I got my period. I've never been late like this before so it was kind of weird waiting for either my period or a positive HPT! I don't believe I am pregnant since I got my period.. and it was quite heavy also. Anyways good luck with everything and I hope you get what you want sooner or later! :)

Laura - Thanks for your encouraging words. I'm kind of feeling down right now. It's hard to go through days of waiting not knowing whether you might be pregnant or not. I know I'm not suppose to get my hopes up too much, but the idea of have a little life growing inside of me is just... so wonderful! But alas, it was not meant to be... It gives me an idea of how other women who are trying to conceive and the mixed emotions/pain/frustration which they are going through. My bleeding looks very different from my normal period and I wonder if it's because I actually miscarried? Kind of a terrible feeling. Maybe I'm just being paranoid here. Hope everything turns out well for every women here, n for you too Laura! :)

My last period started on 6/19/04 so I am pretty late, I have taken 3 preg tests and all were negative but I feel PG-some nausea,discharge,a growing abdomen,etc...My problem is that I am w/o insurance right now.Does anyone know if anyone can use planned parenthood no matter how much they make??

Hey Sheri- yes anyone can use planned parenthood. But they only do urine tests-which are the same as what you have been taking at home. I'm in the same boat as you as far as being late- my last period was 6/23/04. it feels good to know i am not the only one going crazy! I've read a lot of posts since i've been so late- and some women have said their hpts show up negative, but yet they were still pregnant. I would say, find a way to get a sonogram, thats the only way (besides finally getting my period), that I'll be certain if I'm pg or not.

Joey and Laura. Since you both seem so adamant about not ever missing your periods you may very well have miscarried. This happens alot more often then we realize. Women start to bleed and think "oh it's my period" but you must know that you also bleed when you miscarry and it is usually different and more heavy than your period. One reason could be because of a Blighted Ovum, which also happens more than we know. You should read up on it. I know this isn't very good news but at least you can get an understanding to what possibly could have happened.

thanks Deborah. I think I could have miscarried. Guess u can called it a women's intuition. I'm not planning to get pregnant, but neither am I too worried if I am. I felt totally different just a few days after my ovulation date. Felt totally drained out n all the symptoms started coming one by one. Never have I felt anything like that before, that's why I suspected I was pregnant even before I missed my period. I made a calculation n today was supposed to be my 6th week, but unfortunately it was not meant to be. It's hard not to get disappointed, but I know I'll be alright. N hopefully my next pregnancy will be successful. Thanks. :)

I too am experiencing pregnancy symptoms. i was on the pill but forgot about two and a half weeks of it. I have taken pregnancy tests but all have came out negative. I am now five days late for my period. SInce I was on the pill, though, I don't know when I would have ovulated, so I don't know when a test would be positive. I am having bad headaches and dizziness when i wake up and i am VERY tired all day, frequent urination, and i am very hungry recently. This is my first time going through this and I would greatly appreciate ANY suggestions as to what I shoul do and if it sounds like I could be pregnant. My fiance does not wear protection either. PLEASE HELP!!! WHAT DO I DO!?!?

Joey. A woman knows her body!! When something feels different you know it. I knew from my symptoms way before my period was due that I was pregnant, even though I had 4 neg tests. It finally took a blood test to confirm it. By the way, got my second blood test back today and I got what I was praying for. My HCG count has more than doubled since my last test. Cassie to be very honest because you were on the pill and stopped ubruptly like that for 2 weeks I am almost positive that your cycle is just really messed up. I honestly don't think you are pregnant but the only way to know for sure is to take a blood test. Not sure if you were hoping to be or not but I hope this helps.

By the way, I know my period well because I make it a habit of charting my period for many years now. I know it will come in handy when I finally want a baby! That is why this time my missed period is really out of the norm. Oh well, better luck next time for me. Congrats again!

Deborah--Thanks for the input. When should I go in for a blood test? I have not started the new pack of birth control pills and have been continuing to engage in unprotected sex since I have been off of the pill, but I have no idea when I ovulated. I took another test a few days ago and it was negative, so when should I go in for a blood test? Also, what would be the cause of these yucky symptoms? And, does the fact that this would be my first pregnancy have anything to do with hcg levels. My friend just had a baby, and her pregnancy tests didn't show up positive until one month after she conceived. She also forgot to take her pills for two weeks and got pregnant because of that. I am sorry to burden you with questions, but I want some input. Anyone who can help. please reply!! THANKS, cassie
