Deborah--Thanks for the input. When should I go in for a blood test? I have not started the new pack of birth control pills and have been continuing to engage in unprotected sex since I have been off of the pill, but I have no idea when I ovulated. I took another test a few days ago and it was negative, so when should I go in for a blood test? Also, what would be the cause of these yucky symptoms? And, does the fact that this would be my first pregnancy have anything to do with hcg levels. My friend just had a baby, and her pregnancy tests didn't show up positive until one month after she conceived. She also forgot to take her pills for two weeks and got pregnant because of that. I am sorry to burden you with questions, but I want some input. Anyone who can help. please reply!! THANKS, cassie

Cassie...you really should go and check things out with a Dr. You didn't mention whether or not you wanted to be pregnant. Since you are continuing to have unprotected sex I am assuming you are okay with being pregnant. A blood test should show a pos. result now so you can get one anytime. Messing up yours pills could definitely cause some of the symptoms you are having...or... you could be pregnant. GO GET A BLOOD TEST DONE!

Hi Erin-thanks for the reply-I will probably see a doc in the next couple of weeks if my period doesn't start-let me know what happens with you since our last periods were about the same-good luck to you, I hope we are both pg,let me know if you have are having any symptoms. When do you think you would have conceived if you keep track of that, my guess would be around 7/25 but I don't even know if that would be right?? Keep me posted and good luck!!

I too am late, 3 days, with a negative test. I have read that the irregular part of a period happens before you ovulate. The time between your ovulation and expected period is pretty regular. I know when I ovulated, tried to get pregnant, and it has been 16 days since ovulation...usually it is 14 days. I have wierd low cramps...but a negative test!!! Patience, I guess. It is nice to read about you all feel comforted.

i've no symptoms at all but light bleeding somhow bronish but sometimes blood i've been throgh this since a week and a half 4 neg tests 3 in the lab one hpt...help please

Hello everyone, Like the rest of you I am 6 days late. Neg Preg Tests 4 of them. So frustrated. I am going to the doctor tomorrow for a blood test. The suspense is killing me. It helped to read this site and see that some of you had neg but were.

Hello I am so glad I found this site! I came off implanon 2nd of July and before the doc removed it she said you could be ovulate in 24 hours so no unprotected sex 7 days before we take it out and you will come on it about 2-3 weeks. So we used a condom and have continued to do so. I have not had a period yet or any signs of it coming! Not even any spotting or pinkness. I have been feeling sick and could not drink my morning coffee today (I ALWAYS have my morning coffee!) my nipples are VERY tender and I just feel BLAH with a headache and cravings, plus I have lots of clear discharge. I have not had unprotected sex but we hug for a long time afterwards and don’t change position so leaks are possible??

I have done 4 hpt 2 of them with clear blue but the line did not come up saying it had worked properly????? I went on Implanon as it was meant to be the only pill with no lasting affects. Once it was out it was out your system (well in 7-10 days) unlike Depo which sticks around for another year. The doctor has said don’t worry and if I don’t come on in 3 months come and see her.


Has anyone else had this???? Is it just normal systems of coming off the implant or pill??

hi there, well i'am 4 days late for my period and my boybriend and i have been trying to get pregnant.I have taken 5 pregnancy tests and all negative.I have been having a little cramping and today i found a spot on my underwear. Freaked me out! i wasn't sure if it's m period very late or if i'm pregnnt. i feel pregnant.I'm scared.my periods are never late and always on time.

I am 6 days late today. All my test are negative too. I went to the doctor today. Blood test may only detect 2 days before urine test they both can come back negative. You will have to wait and take a test every 2 weeks. Please don't stress. If still nothing after a month you may need to get a full checkup and untrasound.

Hi all, I went for my blood test today and I am so glad I did. Doctor told me I was way to early to show signs of hormone in the urine, so he gave a blood test and said if it comes back negative I would have to test in 10 more days. After that then I am Not. I felt better though because the suspense was killing me. I hope I am. Been married for 3 years...keep your fingers crossed...

Hey Lisa, if you don't mind could you ask your Dr.what the hcg levels of your blood test was if in fact you are pregnant. I am sending baby dust your way!!! I'm curious about the hcg levels because I was also getting neg results with all my urine tests but the pos. bloodtest showed very low hcg levels. Please let me know. Thanks

I hope I can give you those numbers on Thursday. I keep telling myself that I am too early for the Urine, but I also don't want to get my hopes up. what were your numbers. Is everything okay. Thanks for the baby dust... Hope it works....

Hey Lisa. My hcg level with my first bloodtest was 86 and my second blood test was 175. Some say that is good because your level is supposed to double which mine did, but others are saying that these #'s are way too low and that a miscarriage is inevitable. I went for another blood test this morning and will find out tomorrow.

I can't believe how everyone is so similar to me. I am 3 days late and 2 negative tests, but something inside me tells me it's different this time. I haven't gone to by gyn doc b/c maybe it's still too early, but I keep getting strange feelings...

Well I went for my bloodtest this morning and got the results back this afternoon. My hcg levels are at 525 now. Previously they were 175 six days ago. The nurse who called seemed to think that was a good sign (the increase) but everything that I have read is that it should double every 48-72 hours. If this is true my level should have been 700. I am more confused then ever now!!! I will now have to go for another ultrasound but I won't be going until I am between 7 and 8 weeks along. (end of next week or so) The last ultrasound I had a gestational sac could not be seen. I went at 5 weeks and Dr. said it was too early to see anything. So I must wait patiently now for the next ultrasound. Yeah right! Anyone have any input on hcg levels??
