Well I went for my bloodtest this morning and got the results back this afternoon. My hcg levels are at 525 now. Previously they were 175 six days ago. The nurse who called seemed to think that was a good sign (the increase) but everything that I have read is that it should double every 48-72 hours. If this is true my level should have been 700. I am more confused then ever now!!! I will now have to go for another ultrasound but I won't be going until I am between 7 and 8 weeks along. (end of next week or so) The last ultrasound I had a gestational sac could not be seen. I went at 5 weeks and Dr. said it was too early to see anything. So I must wait patiently now for the next ultrasound. Yeah right! Anyone have any input on hcg levels??

Deborah,
I spoke to my cousin today and told her about you. She said her levels were low the entire pregnancy and they had her crazy. she had to test every week at one point, anyway her son is 13 and healthy, so try to relax a bit. i should talk im waiting until tomorrow......... oh the anticipation is torture. what did your doctor say about the levels? Everyone is different. I pray that I was too early to show in the urine like you. Please keep me posted.

I am 4 days late and normally I am like clockwork. I have a lot of the symptoms but I have taken 2 tests so far and both were negative. So I went to the doctor today and he did a urin test which for a quick moment had the pregnancy line show up and then just as quick it went away. So he did a blood test and I will know tomorrow... I am dying to know we have tried everything for months now. We will know soon enough I guess.
Good Luck to all of you I hope that you all get the outcome you want!!

Blood test came back negative, so now I have to find out where my period is. Maybe I am just stressing myself out. Talk to you all soon....

Hi Lisa. Sorry you didn't get a positive on your blood test. I really am! How long have you been trying? Have you ever tried using ovulation sticks? I used them only once and I got pregnant. You see, they helped because I actually ovulate later than I thought I did, so we were always missing the right time. They are pricey, but you can get them off the internet for very cheap.
You said your cousin had a son that was 13. Did you mean 13 months, or 13 years? The reason I ask is because I didn't think they paid too much attention to hcg levels 13 years ago. When was your cousin finally able to relax and enjoy her pregnancy? Did she have to go for many ultrasounds because of her low hcg counts? If you could ask her I would appreciate it.

Hi Deborah,
yes he is 13 yrs. She said they scared the shit out of her for 6 months then it was just the way it was. I am very disappointed but i am more nervous now to why I am so late with my period. I was wondering if anyone just skipped a whole month and was not pregnant. I hope all works out well for you Deborah. This is the firdt month I was trying and the first month i was late. Im probably just freakin myself out.

Hey everyone, I have never seen such wonderful ladies so supportive of each other in all my life!! Your all so great! Well my story is i am 5 days late, and usually 28 days to the hour on time! I have been very tired and have a sick belly, but i feel gasy and rumbly inside too, is this normal? My ovary was kindof sore today too. not sure what to do. We are going to wait a few more days before taking a test even though its driving me crazy!! Everytime i think about taking a test i almost pass out! I am really hoping for a positive! so is my man.

I don't want to get anyone down, but I was 3 weeks late with AF and getting negatives. I am ALWAYS like clockwork also. Well, the negatives were right because I ended up getting AF. It is very common for women to have irregular cycles once and awhile or skip a month altogether. Hopefully everyone will have better news than me.

Hi Everyone, I have to say that reading all the notes on this site is most reasuring....If only to know I am not the only looney out there!
I have been on holiday for the past two weeks and must have taken 6 tests (now 14 days late!) and have been going completely insane as I haven't been able to drink etc, just incase! I have an appointment booked at the doctors for Wednesday and presume from everyones notes that the next step is a blood test? Is this something that the doctor does straight away, and if so how long will the results take?
Debbie your notes were most interesting and lovely to read...Congratulations! I had a miscarriage in April this year (4th week) and it has taken us until last month to try again. I guess if we are pregnant already that would be very lucky. After my panicking and spending a fortune on tests I am guessing from Debbies notes that this may be the case for me too. However, I will take things easy as I really can't face another miscarge. I will keep you all posted with my news.

Melissa - September 13th, 2004 6:27 PM

I am four days late. I have been having strange symptoms constantly since about the time i would have ovulated. I have never felt sick like this before. I know something is up. We have been trying to have a baby for over 6 months now. I am just wondering like some of the others when is a good time to get a blood test?

desiree - September 13th, 2004 8:40 PM
