The question, "Am I pregnant?" seems to always be on my mind! I'd say ever since I quit birth control pills four years ago. I've had two children (weren't ttc, but very excited none-the-less) and am currently breastfeeding my ds who turns a year next month. Here's the thing, I've had one cycle since giving birth to my ds last April. My cycle came Jan 22, lasted 4 or 5 days (that's typical) but has not been back since. In the past, my cycles have always been very regular, within a few days of expected return. So, why is it so off now? I've taken a handful of pg tests, all of which have come back negative. I have "signs" of pregnancy (nausea at night, dizziness, tiredness, sore nipples (that could be due to the fact my son has teeth and likes to "leave his mark!"), but I can often think I have "signs" of pg! lol So, I just don't know and it is driving me crazy! I am breastfeeding, and I know that can alter your cycle, but I only bf 2-3 a day. Shouldn't my cycle be more regulated by now? I'm not expecting anyone to write back, basically I just need a place to write out my thoughts where noone knows me! :) Hubby and I aren't ttc, but again, would gladly welcome another child.

More info, in case anyone else is in the same boat, last night, I suddenly felt the urge to throw-up, but it passed by the time I made it to the bathroom. My lower abdomen has felt achey at times, I've gotten dizzy when I stand too fast, I am so tired in the middle of the day, I have a lot of v. discharge (eggwhite, which I know is related to ovulating, but you can't ovulate that many times in a month!). Hubby and I were not always careful, because going on a normal cycle information, ovualation should have occured the week and a half prior, but since my menses never came, I suppose I could have ovulated anytime--or perhaps I have yet to ovulate! :) Who knows! I guess I wait it out and test again next week. Every test I have taken is VERY negative! No faint + at all! So, should I just assume -? BTW, I spend way too much time on these forums when I think I may be pg!

Just to give another update: My cycle returned today, I think! LOL Just a little spotting earlier and some light cramping, but I am thinking my cycle has returned. So, no preggo!

So, I'm back to commenting again! I'll be the main contributor to this thread! LOL But, hey, perhaps it may help someone else out there who is experiencing the same things I am. So, I had spotting once yesterday with light cramps. I also had brown discharge a couple of times. Today, I am still cramping, but nothing too uncomfortable, and no more spotting or brown discharge. Perhaps breastfeeding is still throwing my cycle off??? I only nurse twice a day, so I should think my cycle should be more regular. I am cramping, even as I sit here. The cramps feel like my cycle usually does, so I still expect af to show in full soon. :) Ah, this game is no fun! :) It's my cycle returning, right? Hence the cramping??? I'll update as soon as I really *know* something! :) (In case anyone else is going through this!)

Updating again! LOL So, I don't think my menses returned. I spotted, once, that Friday, March 21. I had cramping the 22nd, but no spotting. I spotted once on Sunday, but cramped less. Monday, no cramping, but a heavy spotting. (Again, only once or twice) And, that was all! I called my dr, and she sent me for bloodwork to check my thyroid. All tests came back normal. So, I am back to blaming my lack of menses to breastfeeding. I'll wait another month, and if my menses does not return, I'll call my dr again. The last pg test I took was the morning the spotting returned. It was negative. I won't test again for another month (if I can help it!) and save my money! :) Any one out there experience anything like this crazy cycle when they were lactating???
