Hi, Im new to this but I really need help. I missed my period I was due on the 19th of May. I took a pregnancy test on the 19th and it came up negative. I still have not gotten my period and today I started having brown discharge. My breast are sore and I am fatigues but I am not experiencing any other signs of pregnancy. Could I have tested too early? Is the brown discharge a sign of pregnancy. Any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi TW- It sounds as though you tested too early, brown discharge is indeed a sign of pregnancy, I had it (brown discharge) my first two pregnancies... it was implantation bleeding usually, But sometimes, it's just your cervix getting rid of any excess CM, before pulgging up and preparing for the baby's growth. I would wait uyntill you are ONE week late and test again, sometimes two weeks is better, cause there is definitely enough hormone. Good luck! Do you want to be pregnant?
:-)

Yes Cheree I think you are right. I dont know if I can say I want to be pregnant, but my husband and I would welcome it. That comment from Mikki kind of has me scared.

TW- Read Nikki's comment more carefully... It's not written very educated.... A lot of people who post on these sites have no clue what they are talking about. I was a OBGYN for years. I now do pediatrics. Good luck to you.

Thank you so much I am very nrevous about what is going on. I want a baby but I dont want to be disappointed. WHen do you think is a good time to take the test and receive accurate results?

cheree - May 30th, 2005 9:02 AM

By the way- In follow up to Nikki's comment, you would NOT have morning sickness, before getting a positive test result.. if there is not enough hormone yet to give you a positive HPT, then there is definitely not enough to give you morning sickness... Don't stress, you'll either get your period soon, or get a positive.. Good luck girl:)
Happy Memorial Day..

TW- Test at one week late, I have always trusted "First Response' above all others...Only 46% of women produce enough of the hormone to test on the first day of a missed period. 97% get a positive result, after one week of a missed period! Good luck!

oh ok thank you. Does The fact that I bought a cheap dollar store ($1) pregnancy test matter. Sorry for asking so many questions I am just concerned and anxious. If I am pregnant I want to start getting the care I need if not I want to start getting answers on why Im not getting my cycle.

Cheree - May 30th, 2005 9:16 AM

Thank you. My breast are sore from time to time and Im extremely fatigued. I know these to can be signs of my oncoming cycle. But my cycle is never late it is like clock work. Thank you for all of your help you have given me insight because this has been occupying my mind lately.

Im sorry Cheree I meant to type my name in the name coloumn and your name in the body of the answer sorry about that.

Hi TW- Some women swear by the dollar store test...It's funny you should mention that.... Because my period is also usually right on time, and I am about 5 days late myself, my last AF was on 4/29.... after spending soooo much money on hpt's over the past couple months (as my husband and I have been ttc) I bought the dollar store tests too... I don't think it's quite as sensitive as other test like "first response", but- I think it willl def. pick up the hormone after a week of being late... Some women also say that their breast felt exactly the same way they do when they are going to get their cycle as it does when their pregnant... So--- Time will tell, the waiting is hard.. I'll wait with you... any other sympotoms?
Let me know if your AF comes.. and I'll let you know too :)
Cheree

Sometimes it takes a little while longer for the results to be positive. You might want to go and see a doctor. They can test for pregnancy, but they can also check for anything else that might be delaying your period.

hi it has been 45days since my last period, i have increased discharge, sum days my nipples feel real sore, swollen tummy an eatin more. took several HPT an all say negative. is it possible i am pregnant?

hoping4bpf - October 20th, 2009 3:28 PM

hayley: i am in the same boat, on CD40. I have heard of stories where the HPTs do not come back until you are 8-10 weeks pregnant. the chances are slim, so i am thinking my cycle just got thrown off. good luck to you keep me posted

Hey! Anybody here get results?

I'm 20 years old and am normally fairly regular. If I'm late, it's just by a day or two. But I'm now almost 2 weeks late but all of my tests are coming up negative. I was due to start on the 15th. I'm pretty new to all of this, but I know I've been feeling pretty weird lately. Nauseated throughout the day, a few small dizzy spells and tired allll the time. My husband noted this morning that my breasts seem larger and I'm constantly feeling bloated. I plan to go get a blood test this week sometime if AF doesn't come. But I just wanted to ask since I have taken 3 different home tests and they have all come out negative if it's possible I'm still pregnant.
