My intent in sharing my experience is not to give anyone a false sense of hope. But I have been lurking on these boards for weeks now and found a sense of comfort in stories similar to my own. So here goes...
Af has always been on the 12th of every month ever sense having my son in 2005. I rang in 2008 with af in Jan as scheduled but a missed period in Feb. I tested and it was - and af showed back up as scheduled in March & April (though I took pg tests in both these months just to be "safe"). In May I took another test that came out bfp but strangely enough af still arrived as well. I went to the dr at this point and found out I was somewhere past 12 weeks pregnant but it was no longer a viable pregnancy.
Fast forward to this year...
I had af in January and February as scheduled (th 12th of both months). Come the week of March 12th af didnt show up. I tested and it was bfn. I retested a few days later and bfn. I retested a week later and still bfn. I went to planned parenthood (because they got me in the same day vs waiting for a dr appt) and it was a bfn there as well. I took another test on friday which once again was bfn. This put me about 2 weeks and one day late at this point and testing was slowly becoming an obsession lol. I took one more test yesterday morning and although it was slow to develop it did turn out bfp. After so many - ones I was hesitant to believe this one so after work I took yet another test and although slow to develop as well, it was also positive. This puts me at about 6-7 weeks pregnant if Im calculating right and I just now got a positive on an hpt.
