I agree about the US. I am having one on Monday. I would demand to have one. I guess it's hard in the UK because of the health care system, but maybe you could talk to your doctor.

I was really glad that I came across this site. I have been feeling pregnant for the past couple weeks but recently had my period and a negative HPT. My period however was a week late and only lasted 2 days instead of my normal 7. I took the HPT just a few hours before the bleeding started and it came back negative. For some reason I still feel pregnant and I feel like I am going crazy. I want to test again but I am sure it will just come back negative again. There are two girls in my class. One just gave birth a month ago and she said that she didnt know she was pregnant until she was in her fifth month because she was still getting her period that whole time. Another girl in my class is 4 months pregnant right now and she was on birth control at the time and still got pregnant. So it is possible for these things to happen. I had heard of people getting pregnant while on the pill and having their period but still being pregnant, but I wasn't sure about the whole negative HPT. Hopefully there is someone out there who can explain this whole negative test thing to me and still be pregnant.

Clueless - December 2nd, 2004 1:38 PM

I had my period last week and it lasted for about 4 days. The first day wasn't very heavy but the 2nd day was pretty heavy and then just kind of spotty for the next couple of days and my periods usually last a full 5 or 6 days except for the last couple of months. It is now almost a week past my period and I still have stomach pain which isn't normal for me. I feel sick to my stomach at time, a lot more than normal this week, i have had some cramping in my abdominal area, headaches, more tired than usual, dizziness at times, could i be pregnant even though I had my period last week? My bf and I never use protection when we have intercourse and we had sex like 2 days before I ovulated last month and maybe the day after. Also last month my CM was not normal at all. I hardly noticed any discharge at all, but since my period has ended I have had a lot of milky discharge compared to last month. If anyone could give me any answers i would appreciate it. I am thinking of getting a hpt test today for tomorrow morning. Should i test or not?

Me too! I know I was pregnant I have no doubt in my mind! I had a blood test that came back negative, and I hadn't had a period for almost 3 months at the time. I was beginning to show all the signs. I had morning sickness twice, which I heard is not very uncommon to not have to much morning sickness. My nipples where getting dark and I even started getting milk leakage. My size 12 pants did not fit me anymore and I finally decided to buy maternaty pants because I couldn't fit into anything else. I only was gaining weight of course in my belly! It was tight like a pregnant belly too! But, of course my doctors and even the nurses insteaded I was not pregnant because the test were negative. I insisted on a ultrasound and even that didn't prove anything but, with my last pregnancy they had a real hard time finding my daughter because I have a titled uterus the ultrasound did not pick up my entire uterus! Go figure! So I don't think they found this one. But, of course everything turned out to be too late I had a misscarrage. I even bleed out what looked like a foot one time. I was going to keep it but, then I thought no the doctors and nurses will think I have gone mad! I ended up having a D and C I hope it has some evidence in it!

hey ladies my period was 3 weeks late and it's always on time every 28 days. I had two blood test done and both negative but the veins in my boobs are a lot more visible and last night when my period started i got really bad cramping which i never get. My period has never been late...does anyone know if there's a chance i can be pregnant?

Mary - December 3rd, 2004 4:48 PM

I feel SO relieved that I'm not alone! It's been 8 & 1/2 weeks since my last normal period (10/5/04) so I'm 4 & 1/2 weeks late now. Towards the end of Oct. I had some light spotting for a day (maybe less).. light brownish/redish color. Missed AF at the beginning of Nov. and ever since I've been having increasing preg. symptoms (even b4 my 1st hpt). Nausea (threw up a few times), dizzy, headaches, body aches, sleep problems, very vivid dreams, & MOODY! Recently I've had all of these symptoms PLUS more sensitive to smells, more spit in my mouth, my nipples really hurt, boobs seem bigger, peeing A LOT, white discharge, some cravings & food aversions,& butterfly/fluttery feelings in my stomach that are almost nauseating. All of this & I keep getting negative hpts! I've been a little late b4, but NEVER this late! Has anyone else experienced this & found they were infact pregnant?? If so, how far along were you when you finally showed positive?? Do I need to go to my Dr. ASAP?? What does anyone think?? What's going on here?? I wouldn't mind being preg... I'm 24 & married, so it'd be nice, but it's driving me craaaazy & I just really need some peace of mind!!

ScaredBaka - December 3rd, 2004 11:52 PM

I happened upon this topic when looking via search engine for causes of nipple pain and tingling. Perhaps one of you ladies can offer me guidance, because I'm not quite sure what to think.

I am 17, and I've been downright miserable for the past 2 months. I've had constant severe sinus headaches every day for 8 weeks, as well as a pressure feeling in my pubic area. I have a subtle nautious feeling, but unlike any I've ever felt before; it feels as if I have a bubble in my throat that's trying to come up, but it can't; I don't feel sick to my stomach. In fact, when I do feel this "nausea", it's under my rib cage in the middle of my body.

Also, about a week ago my nipples began to feel a little tingly, and long before then I noticed these little pimple-looking things around my nipples; whether or not they were previously there I'm unsure. But I've lanced them, and now they are smaller in size and my nipples are cracked and dry O.o

I've been experiencing on and off pain in my chest and ribs (my actual breasts do not hurt unless I squeeze them very hard), and a few days back the chest pain returned. At times in the past, the pain would burn badly and spread to the sides of my chest and even my inner shoulders.

I've noticed I have new vaginal discharge, that changes from being light yellow to tan and thick and sticky. It also reeks like something died, and there is more of it than before. Infection, perhaps?

Perhaps this is only muscle spasms, but I get the occasional twitchy feeling in my pelvic/groin area (is not painful), as well as a burning sensation.

Don't know if this means anything, but I feel a bunch of tender lumps in my lower abdomen which my doctor said were not lymph nodes.

.............

This may sound like classic pregnancy, but there's one thing that kind of cancels everything out...I am not sexually active. I have a boyfriend, sure, but we have never had sex; the most we have done is hand-genital contact, and I am always sure his hands have been thoroughly washed with soap and water...but I don't think it would make a difference anyway since he never ejaculates in or on his hands anyway, and both of us are sure.

I have not missed a period, nor have they been abnormal (lighter, shorter, etc.). I went off the pill a few weeks ago because I was unable to get more; I had used it for 3 months only, and I wonder if it may be causing me recoil or making me feel PMS or what-not.

...............

I know I should not be worried because I abstain, but can you offer me any advice, ladies? I'm wondering if I should be worrying at this point.

My last regular period was around mid-Oct, the 15th or so, though I am lazy and do not recall the day. I do recall that about exactly two weeks later, I was fooling around. While I did not have actual intercourse, precum did come in contact with the labia. Anyways, two weeks after that, when my period was due - I did not have it. What I did have was some very light bleeding and a small brownish pink discharge that lasted about 4 days. (consistent with implantation bleeding). Now while my periods have not ever been set the clock regular, they have never been more than three days late - and usually come only about 24-25 days apart. In the past month I have had headaches about once every other day, which is very unusual for me. I have had frequent urination, sometimes going four times in a row because I cannot get rid of the need to pee. I have had a bit of vaginal irritation, very minor cramping but it does not really go away, an estremely sore back - especially in the lower spine, and I feel naseous quite often. My immune system has lowered and I am not fighting illnesses as well as usual. My breasts, while not sore, do feel heavy. I have gained two pounds, and usually feel starved. Unfortunately, half the foods around me seem to be repulsive. I have had leg cramps a few times and feel uncomfortable sleeping - although the trick of sleeping on the left side seems to help that. I feel warm/flushed a lot of the time. I have been slightly more moody than usual. But the worst is the fatigue - I normally sleep a lot, and try to get around 9-10 hours. But lately no amount of sleep can make me feel rested. I will crash on my bed and sleep for hours whenever I get an opportunity. Caffeine does nto help at all - even when I tried overdosing on expreso beans :P And I feel fluttery in the stomach, and I feel, for lack of a better word, pregnant. I have also had light spotting on and off for the last two weeks. The area beneath my naval feels firmer than usual. I also keep getting a slight pin from my right hip to my thigh.
I went in to the Planned PArenthood clinic yesterday, and my urine test was negative. However, I had gone to the bathroom about an hour and a half before that, and the half cup full was all I could squeeze out (although I was desperate to go by that time :P) Was late in the afternoon as well.
I told the doctor I would come in again in two week sif I still have not had my period - although as it is if my symptoms get much worse I am going in in less than that. My back is super killing me!

ScaredBaka - you need to talk to your parents or take yourself to the doctor. You could have something more major going on. There is PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) you can get this as an STD or it can be caused by a Bacterial Infection. You most certainly are not pregnant if you have not had sex. This is a very threatening thing to have, which causes all of these pains you are speaking of as well as giving you nausea, tingling, burning, discharge, pain, etc. You could also have IBS, which also fools women a lot into thinking they are having pregnancy symptoms. I am no doctor, but I AM POSITIVE THAT YOU NEED TO SEE ONE. Instead of talking to people here...you need to talk to you mother and a doctor. There are many other things that could be wrong...you need to see a doctor. Hope that's been some help.

krystal - December 6th, 2004 10:48 AM

PS...last Wednesday I had a tissue-like discharge come out and then on Thursday morning I started my period. My flow was slow (which is unusual) and only lasted two days. I am going today for an Ultra Sound.

Trust Your Instincts!!!! - December 7th, 2004 1:23 AM

Christine - December 7th, 2004 11:56 AM

Hi all, on 10-4 I had my period but it was heavier then normal and I had some cramping witch is odd for me. I took a hpt the day before and got a faint positive. For November I was two days late bleed lightly for a day and spotted for a day. Took several hpt a urian and bleed test at the doctors all negative. This month I was one day late light for a day and lightly spotted for 3 days. Again I got a negative hpt. I have been having all the symptoms for the past 2 months and I feel pregnant. I have gained alot of weight mostly in my belly and I can feel movement. Is this all my imagination or am I realy pregnant? Anyone that finds out the answer to this big mystery we all have please post.

Sheron - December 7th, 2004 5:09 PM

I am back again. My second blood test came out negative so my doctor says "Congratulations you are not pregnant!) I guess, I must be crazy! I told him I want to have an ultrasound because if I'm not pregnant than something is really wrong. My ultrasound is scheduled for Dec 17th, wish me luck!
