Hello...new to the board but been reading for days...I hope someone can help me. I had my 2nd son about a yr ago and since have had my period every month between the 5th-7th.I have never been that regualr so this was great for me! However this past month, when I was supposed to get my period on the 5th,6th,or 7th-NOTHING! I took 4 hpts and all were negative between then and now. I felt tired, a little heartburn and burping a lot, that gooey discharge. I really thought I might be pregnant again. However this afternoon my period came-and it's not light brown or pink, it's a regular period. So of course I'm disappointed but also confused. We've decided to try for another child and I thought it would be fairly easy to calculate ovulation because of my regular periods but now I don't know what to do!! If I always get my periods between the 5-7th of every month and this month I got it on the 14th then how long was my cycle?? And what dates do I go by in order to figure out ovulation? I tried one of those ovulation calculators but they all want to know how long my cycle is...I'm not sure the answer. Can anyone help me? I guess I need an ovulation expert!! Basically I need to know when hubby and I should try again. I wish lots of luck to everyone trying...it's a very stressful time I know! All the waiting makes ya nuts! Hi! I'm very surprised to see how many of us are going throught the same problem! I'm 5 days late. I take an hpt every morning when I get up and they have all been negative. Should I wait two weeks to get a blood test? Do you think it is too early to get one right now? Also, to those of you who have found your answer of why your period was late, what was the reason? Did the Dr. give you any explanations?

Okay, Michelle, I'm starting to really worry now..I've started having a pain on my left side that goes and comes it started around a few hours ago..but I'm freaking out. Would an ectopic preg. show up on a hpt??

Dont worry Pink. Some pain is normal but if its REALLY bad than the results are gonna be bad. Yes, they can come up on hpt's. Take a ultra-sound and it'll show.

i am 12 days late. i've been late plenty of times before but at the most only up to a week. i have clear dicharge that i keep thinking is my period. i've done 3 urine tests one with the doctor. all negative so he sent me for a blood test. i get the results today or tomorrow. i so badly want to get pg have for a year, so i don't know if my period being late is just pyscological.

i'm soooo happy i found this site!!! the last couple of days i've noticed that there's been alot going on with my body. for the past three weeks i've had flu-like symptoms and for the past two days my nipples have been hard for no reason and i've been soooo sleepy!! my stomach is also hard... my husband usually plays with the little chub i have and we both noticed that my stomach was hard!! and my period is 2 weeks late!! i was freaking out!! i had taken 3 pregnancy tests... i even took one today and they all said "not pregnant"... i was beginning to think that there was something else wrong with me until i found this site!!! this site made me realize that home pregnancy tests aren't always accurate so this wednesday i plan on getting a blood test!! thanks to everyone for sharing their stories because if you didn't people like me would be even more hysterical!

Hi everybody! Just add one more to the "I'm in the same boat category". I am going crazy just wondering what the heck is going on with me and am not too fond of this waiting game. =)
I am always like clockwork when it comes to my period. Well, first day of my last was on Oct. 10th. I had unprotected sex w/ my b.f. on Oct. 23rd. We were not ttc, however, not taking any measures against it. So, I was due to start on Nov. 6th....and am still waiting. I had the sore breasts right before I was supposed to start, along with the dreaded acne and increased appetite. Now, I still have sore breasts to the touch, am tired more often than usual, and have been having headaches and cold-like symptoms off and on. I had these "crampy" feelings like I was going to start also, but nothing. I have taken 2 hpt's and both say "not pregnant". I'm at a loss as to what to do next. I mean, I've read SO many instances in where the tests were wrong, it's driving me nuts not knowing. Anyone have advice? Best of luck to everyone that's going through the same thing.

confused, i would not be surprised at all if you are pregnant- i dont care what all these tests say in my experience none of them show up pos until a few weeks gone. good luck anyway

also going through the same though- about 10 days late, feel different, must have taken about 12 tests. some faint pos and some neg. bought every brand on the market and some faint pos hours later. really wish the manufactors would give clearer guidelines. any ideas anyone?

Ok...not sure what's going on today after I posted earlier. I now have spotting but not really sure if it's my period or not. It's kind of "goopy" which is not like normal. So, who knows! Guess it's still a waiting game to see if this continues.

I got a call from my DR. and my progestrone is low. In doing some research i learned/confirmed that progestrone is a hormone needed to help in the development of the fetus (i like to say baby!) and if this hormone is low or not there your development can stop and result in what is called blighted ovaum. I have had 2 blighted pregnancies and it was because my old dr. was not testing my blood soon enough or the lab results took too long. A week is too long to wait. I had my appointment on Tuesday at 4pm and on Wednesday at 10am the dr. office called in a prescription for vaginal inserts of progestrone. I wanted my old dr. to do a sonogram to rule out a preg. but he wouldn't. Me and my baby are so lucky that I had a friend that pushed me to get a new dr. or I would have miscarried again. My body dosen't produce enough progestrone to sustain a preg. So that is what I know. I also know that I am now 7 1/2 weeks preg. and due at the end of June. It will be a wonderful anniversary gift on our first wedding anniversary. So hang in there ladies. Ask for progestrone test and if all else fails tell them you want a ultra sound to rule it out. I will be praying for all of you. I know that through prayer we will achieve! Best of luck @--->------

Hello, I have a question that maybe someone could help me with. I am about 2 weeks late for my period, And have taken a lot of HPT. I have been taking them one week apart like suggested by everyone here. BUT< they all came up negative. This morning I took one with the first urine and it came up Positive. So I took another to be sure and that came up positve. They were however very faint . So I went for the blood test today, the same day, and my blood test came back negative. I have never been so confused in all my life please someone help me understand. Also, I had a qualitive blood test done, they were supposed to do both qualitive and quanitive, but when the qualitive came out neg. they cancelled the other, What do you guys think, Please help me.

I also forgot to say the start date of my last period was September 26th, 2003

13 days late and got my blood test back and is positive. i should be about 3-5wks LMP. more test will confirm how far along i am. i have alot of clear odourless fluid, sore nipples, nausea and am hungry and tired. but girls even if blood tests and urine tests come back negative and still no period get the dr to send you for an ultrasound or do an internal examination. that would defininetly let you know if you are pregnant or not.

Wow, I can't believe there are so many of us going through the same thing...
Before I found this I was starting to think I was going crazy... I'm now 2 weeks late... I've taken a few HPT, but they have all come out neg... My breasts are almost always hurting, and my veins are more operant on them... I'm getting headaches all the time... I'm always thirsty, but even after dirking my lips and mouth still feel dry... I have to pee all the time, but then again as much as I'm drinking... though for the life of me I can’t have a BM to save my life... that started just about the time my period was due.. I was getting sharp cramps and I thought my period was going to start, but it turned out to be I had to have a BM, and when I do have one it’s only a small one... Is that normal? I'm also beyond tired all the time... by the time I get home from work I'm ready for bed... Then today when I was at the store I saw baby things, and I almost started to cry... My friend keeps telling me this is all in my head, and at this point I don’t know what to think... I'm going to see my Dr Thursday for a blood test... I hope to know something for sure by then... I wish the best for you all....
