Ok I have been like clockwork since I was 13. I am on Alese BC and am married so I take it when I remember, we don't mind at this point if I get preg. On Christmas we had unprotected sex and I realized afterwards that I had forgotten my pill which was nothing out of the ordinary. 8 days later I started brown spotting. I called the doctor and he kind of blew me off just telling me that was common with taking the pill. The next day I got nausea, my breasts swelled, dizzy, tired, all the symptoms. At this point I was still spotting lightly and 3 days before my period was susposed to start. I too got a negative on my hpt. So I went in and insisted on bloodwork. The day before my bloodwork I spent the whole night throwing up. My husband said I must be preg. because even when I'm sick I NEVER throw up. My blood test came back negative. I was so disappointed because I still have all the syptoms. Again the doctor looked at me like I'm crazy. I even told him that when he took the blood test I would have only been a week and a half preg. I never got my period and he suggested me just to start taking my pill again like normal and forget the sypmtoms. How do you forget feeling like you are going to throw up or being tired, needless to say the peeing....what should I do???? I have had many people tell me If I were only a week along it wouldn't have shown up on the blood test yet...

I too am in the same boat with you ladies. But my son just turned 7 months old (Breastfed). He is my first child, I was planning on having another one, but not until next summer. I did not have an AF for 3 months and then I came on for 1 day, that has never happened to me in all of the time I have had an AF. It was almost like I never had an AF it was such light bleeding. And I have been really tired, throwing up, and very very nauseated, with my son, I found out a week and a half after I got pregnant. The line was very dark. Now I feel like I am pregnant, I feel sick all day, but all the tests I have taken are negative. I don't want to go to doctor right now and spend the money for a visit for them to tell me it is negative too, so I am going to try and wait a couple more weeks. I am glad I found this site, it is nice to know I am not the only one. Is there anyone still here from the beginning of the posts that found out they were pregnant?

I am beginning to think that we all aren't preg. (except the girls that have a faint line....u are preg. the hormone wouldnt show up at all if u weren't) I think we are all just hopeful. I haven't seen any girls come back with any results of their Positive tests yet. I just wish I were. My best friend is now, and although I am completely happy for her...I find myself unable to stop crying. I guess I am just selfish. Well, I will let you know if anything changes with me. It would be nice to see one of us actually preg.

I don't know if this helps anyone but I talked to my doctor from college for a second opinion. She said I definately could be preg. and it could be too early to tell on a blood test or an hpt test. You kind of have to wait it out and see what happens. I do feel crazy though, but you can't ignore when your body feels different then normal.

I took a test last night that was supposed to test for 20 ml of the HCG. I received a faint line. So looks like I cam pregant. I probably took like 5 tests before finding out for sure! I have a doctor appt. MOnday. Women, I suggest ordering a test that can test as little as 20 HCG, instead of the typical 100 HCG that over the counter test detect.

Hmm... maybe I will look into ordering a test that measures the lower levels then. I did do a urine test at the Dr.'s office though. You would think their tests measure really low levels. Who knows?
I'm beginning to tell myself it has got to be stress related. It would be crazy if I were actually pregnant. I'm not on birth control or anything, but my husband and I have been consistent with condoms during our marriage.
To all the women actually trying... good luck! I hope to hear that you're expecting soon. My step sister tried to have a baby for 8 years. The Dr.'s told her she couldn't. They were in the process of adopting, and boom... she was 3 months pregnant. Her second is due in April. (They still are going to adopt later.) So, don't give up hope.

Kimmie, I hope you have a great day today. I think many women have felt what you're feeling. I'm not going to give any cliche advice, but just say, I'm sorry it sucks right now.

Grrr...now I'm 13 days late. I took a 1st Response test this morning and it was negative. I didn't really want to be pregnant and I keep telling myself I'm not, but STILL I've never been late with my period before! I don't really know what to do and my jerk of a Gynie wouldn't let me take a blood test. I'm going to see my reg doc this saturday as part of a routine check up so maybe SHE'LL give me the blood test. I just want my period! If I'm not getting it, I'm worried because I NEVER MISS so I'm scared something's wrong with my innards. My breasts hurt so much they feel like they're going to explode and I can't even walk around without a bra. My light cramping is gone and I keep having a clear mucous discharge. What is up!?

Well, Today I am now officially 11 days late.Tomorrow I am going to take a blood test. I will let you all know what the results are.

For anyone that wants to find out quick all the test require your hormone level to be at least 100, E.P.T. shows up when it has reached 40 already therefore giving you faster results. You guys might want to look into it. Hang in there. Not everyone gets a strong result the first time they test.

Kimmie-Have you received any word on your test? I wish that they wouldn't make you ladies wait this long..but honey...I completely understand the crying about your best friend thing. My friend of 17 years finally decided to ttc last month and guess what...it worked. I was happy, but cried a lot from anger, frustration and sadness that I have been ttc for two years, have had many false hopes and had to undergo difficult mc's. Hang in there though...everything happens for a reason. Self update...My doctor called my cell phone today, but I was so swamped at work that I didn't have a chance to call him back while he was in the office. I'm going to call first thing in the morning and will discuss the chances of whether or not I could be pregnant. I will also find out if he has seen this before...he is very straight forward and will tell me the truth behind it. I will let all of you know what info he has for us! Until then...fingers, toes, arms and legs...all crossed for everyone! :-)

Nope, no results as of yet. I should probably call bc my lab is rediculously slow. One time I had rubella and they didn't call me back until after my my symptoms were gone. Great lab; let me tell you. I am glad that I am not alone in how I am thinking. Thanks Denise. I hope everything goes well with your doctor tomorrow. On a different note...One last very weird question....I know this isn't stated as a sign, but lately my breasts have been a lot softer. I dont know how to explain. They seem fuller, but a lot softer. Before they were sore, but now they are just bigger and softer. Is that weird? Is that a sign? Or am I so hopeful that I think that it is? Let me know. Thanks guys for all the advice.

Hello everyone..I am so glad to know I am not alone. My last period was Nov 17 so I am 4 1/2 weeks late on my period. I have taken 4 HPT and all have been negative. I am not sure if I want to be pregnant or not. I want another child but my boyfriend and I are seperated now. I am a single mother of an 8 year old boy and I am really scared to take on two alone. I think the hardest thing for me is not knowing. The signs of pregnancy I am having is extremely frequent urination and I am exhausted all the time. My period is usually very regular and to be 4.5 weeks late is not normal for me. What do you guys think? If I am pregnant I would be 6 weeks. I guess my question is if I was 6 weeks pregnant then shouldn't a HPT be able to tell?

Brandy I know exactly what you are going through, except I'm a single parent with 3 kids already. I have a boyfriend but he doesn't live here with me. I had my tubes tied in sept. 2003 and my last period was nov. 8 2004. I have taken sereral tests all comming up negative. yesterday had some nausea and almost vomited and headaches. It's just driving me nuts not knowing what is wrong with me. my dr. told me not to worry, and if I go 3 months with no period to make an appt. keep me up to date on whats going on with you and I will do the same.
