4 Weeks late and still no period, Doctor told me to wait another 2-3 weeks and then if still no period take another test if thats still negative to go and see her.
I will forget about it and take another test after 4 weeks from today.

Hi Kim, I took another test yesterday morning and still negative, I am now 7 days late. Was suppose to be going and getting a blood test today but my husband thinks we should wait another week or so just in case we are only in the very early stages. If the test still comes up negative at the very end of next week I will have a blood test done by the 25th Jan I think. Surely by then if I am it will show up on a test!!!!!!
I am not thinking about it as much now as I have come to the conlusion that if I am I am and if I'm not I'm not we will eventually find out. It's still frustrating but what can you do apart from play the waiting game aye. Kim did the doctor not suggest getting a blood test done to confirm if you are, I thought they would have by now???? Will keep you informed - so nice to no that there is other people out their in the same boat as me and I am not just going insane by myself. Take care talk to you all soon

I've been reading the site for the last couple of weeks. My period was 6 days late, and I kept getting negative tests with Clear Blue digital pregnancy test (I think I took a million :). Though I never posted, this site was such a consolation to me.

I found an article on CBS.com about a study at Yale that said most pregnancy tests are not accurate until 7 days after your missed period. It said that you should use it first thing in the morning, and that you should wait 10 minutes to read the results, regardless of the test instructions. It also said that the most accurate test (if you follow those directions) is the First Response line test (not digital).

When I followed these directions, I got a POSITIVE!!! Now, I wonder how soon I would have gotten a positive if I had gone with the cheaper First Response over the Clear Blue digital.

I just thought I'd thank everyone for being a support system during a hard time, and wanted to pass on what I'd read-maybe it will help someone else :). Good luck to everyone!

Congrats M, how late are you? I took a digital this morning and it was -. I am 7days late now. I have gotten both ++ and negatives since 1 day late.

I am in the same boat! My period was due on 1/12 and it never came. I have had wicked bad cramps since 1/11 and have barely been able to get off the couch. I have had clearish discharge more than normal (it keeps making me think I'm getting my period). I tested this morning with a First Response early detection and it was negative. I'm 27 and my husband and I have been TTC since November.

Hi, I also am 6 days late and took a hpt yesterday and it came up BFN. I feel pregnant! I've been feeling icky, headaches, peeing more etc...and I'm overly emotional...I know that could be pms...I don't FEEL like my period is coming...I keep having clear discharge and I keep checking to see if aunt flo has made a appearance...this is driving me insane...such a rollercoaster ride...I got so excited to take the test...and negative...my daughter kept saying I want a sissy...lol. btw we are ttc our 4th baby so I know what pregnancy is all about....and this is just crazy!! I've never had a BFN before. So maybe its all in my head?? Why do I feel pregnant?

Hi All, well I am not sure wether to be disappointed or still confused. I got my period on Friday after being 8 days late and I am always like clock work. It's not as heavy as what my usual periods are but I have had to use tampons but only like two a day. I have read on so many sites that some women do bleed early on in pregnancy and I was talking to a girlfriend of mine and she had a light period with her first child at the beginning of her pregnancy!!!!! So I am really confused now..... I might get a blood test done to put my mind at rest then I will no for sure. Wish it was just plain and simple...... Congrats M thats wonderful. Hi Kim & Others: Just went for a blood test!!!!!!! Will find out the results in the morning.....so glade that by tomorrow the waiting and the curiosity will finaly be over. I am expecting bad news because if I get my hopes up I no I will be disapointed. Cross your fingers for me - Report in tomorrow with the news

Hi all. I have been reading these posts and feeling like WOW! I am so NOT alone! My last normal period was Dec. 13, 2005. I was supposed to start on the 6th of January so I am offically 9 days late. My husband and I have been TTC for 13 months now. I was on Depo for 6 months in 2004 and went off it in Dec 2004 we've been trying since. My cycles are 24 days apart and have been very regular since my hormones regulated about 4 months after going off Depo. I've been having pregnancy symptoms such as "heavy" breasts, sore to touch, nausea, moodiness, emotional, EXTREMEMLY tired, thickened waist (meaning jeans that fit me a few weeks ago no longer fit as well, they are tight), bloated ab. I have taken a couple of HPT's with the latest one 2 days ago and they all were negative. I had signs that I was gonna get AF but never did, then on the 12th of this month I had spotting, really light that started out light pink and ended brown a few days later, didn't need to use any feminine products other than a liner. I've also had very bad lower backaches right above the "butt" line. Everybody keeps telling me not to worry and that it may be to early to tell but I'm going nuts wondering if I am or if I just want to be so badly that my mind is causing this. Any information or advice you might have would be great. I've been putting off going to dr. because I don't want another negative, also why I haven't been testing like crazy. Should I test again or wait? UGGGGG!!!!!!! this is making me crazy (lol). Never been pregnant before so any help would be greatly appreciated.

IM 2 AND A HALF MONTHS LATE ALREADY AND I TOOK 2 HOME TEST BUT THEY BOTH CAME OUT NEGATIVE... WHAT COULD BE MY PROBLEM???

Hi Kim & All - Well I got my test results back yesterday and unfortunately it wasn't the news that I was expecting.....
No I am not pregnant so its back to the drawing board for me. I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully will have some better news to come back and tell you all in a couple of months. I strongly advise to you all that if you are 2 to 3 weeks late or more late for you period that you go and get a blood test done to put your mind at rest, Now that I no at least I can concentrate on starting the process again and also concentrating on others things apart from that. Today I am 16 days late - and still the hpt comes out neg. My husband doesnt think I am pg but I am not sure - whats I think depends on the day - I do want to be!! I havent really had many signs yet - so thats why I am doubting. I have had slightly sore breasts - especially these last few days, but I am not sick to my stomach like I was when I was pg with my son (he is 2 1/2 now). The one thing that keep sticking out in my mind is that I have had a TON of headaches lately, and I am TIRED all the time - and also I have this discharge that wont quit - nothing gross - just clear/milky - but everyday! Much more then in a normal cycle. I went a little nuts with the hpg tests though - I must have done like 20 of them - so I am not going to buy anymore - I made a doc appt for Friday though - guess I will find out whats going on with me next week sometime after the tests come back - I just hope its not another cyst - I had three removed and I read online that a cyst can cause these types of symptoms. Wish me luck!

Went to doc today - they took blood - will find out Friday or Monday on what the results were - will be nice to know - 17 days late now :(
