basically, if you are testing negative and your period is well overdue the only thing you can do to put your mind at ease is see your doctor (or go to a clinic if you don't have a doctor). they'll do a blood test and look into possible causes for your missed period if pregnancy is not the cause. no matter how many symptoms you experience, the doctor is the only way to know. the mind has so much control over the body so you never can be certain. also - a hpt is most accurate a week after your period was due, the levels of hormones will be high enough at this point for ANY hpt. i tried one again last sat. morning and it was possitive - it took three tests (i was just too early on the others).

I'm a few days late on my period. Which is very odd since I'm on the pill and it usually comes on the same day every month without fail. I have also been feeling really tired, sick and had bad "lady cramps" everyday for the past two weeks. I've taken two HPT but both came up negative. I just don't understand what's going on, should I trust the tests are accurate?? I can't stop thinking about it!

i have a question. i have not had my period since Jan 7th. 2006. i am almost three months late. i have the gooey discharge that i normally dont get. its been there since i should have started in feb. i took 2 test and both neg. i havent tested since end of feb. what should i do? i used a hpt when i was only 1 week late and then a dollar store one the 2nd time. has anyone ever had a problem with the dollar store ones? my husband and i are TTC and we are really hoping. is there any hope for me?

hey im new here and im 18 years old ive been pregnant before i went two months wit out knowing i was pregnant and two days after i found out i lost the baby and no im 5 days late for my period and i dont know why ive taken 2 hpt and both negative but i go to the dr on april first so hopefully ill know wats wrong then i mean ive had some signs but still not sure so if anyone has any advice feel free to let me know good luck to all

hi all - my period is now 11 days late, last one was 19th Feb 06 - im usually a little irreg - but only within 1-3 days.. cycle is abt 25 days - done 2 hpt and they r both neg.. also last week had all the feelings of period but nothing came!! breast still tender but thats it.. no other preg signs.. allthough have just come down with a cold so not feeling great - tired etc.. how long before I shld go to the docs?

My period is now 18 days late. I have taken 3 pregnancy test and they have all been negative. I feel sick in my abdomen, sore an the outer part of my boobs. I have a Sticky discharge. What should I do?

Only just found this site and have been reading afew of your messages, I'm 5 days late and my mother-in-law is almost 2 weeks late we've both had sytoms of possible pregnancy for instence my mother-in-law for the past week has been addicting to cheese burgers normally she hates cheese burgers now she can't get enough of them!! We have both been really hot and feeling faint alot and both keep needing the loo quite alot also we've both put on weight over afew weeks my partner tells me he can see a bump that I didnt have before, we have both taken clear blue tests and I have had a test done by my doctor too but all came back negative but we've still have sytoms!? We've not been for blood tests yet which my partner suggested for both of us but are blood tests more accurate with its results? As reading the messages here many of you did't find out you were pregnant or get possitive results until your about 2/3months gone?

hey everyone i finally went to the dr found out im almost 7 weeks pregnant only thing i can say really is instead of taking so many hpt get a blood test taken thats the best way to know for sure

there is no good why's who knows. but i am having the same problem. like my friend just found out she is preg. she took a test last month and it showed neg so she went on with business and then this month she tested agian got a POS so she went to the doctor thinking she was JUST preg well guess what she was 13 WKS!!!!!! she was preg. this whole time and the hpt last month showed - - - - -

My period is 7 days late and I took a test today and it came out negative, but I have the nausea but no vomiting, the breast tenderness, itching alot, they also feel like they got a whole lot bigger and I have never taken notice of my nipples but they seem to be different. I have gone to the toilet at leats 5 times so far and that was before 12:30. I have been eating alot more, getting hungry more that normal, I have been feeling tired but I took off and feel better now but still have to rip myself from the bed everymorning to get to work. I have had a few more symtoms but do I trust the test or wait a few more days to take another test. My Doctor can only see me the begining of the new month and I feel its a bit to long an dwhat if by then I either have a period or still nothing and a new test stil shows negative, I have been wating to get pregnant since the minute I got married, I hope that this is it, if it isn't I don't know what to do.

Hi. I posted this same question in a different forum, but im not sure how active anyone is in that one. The last post was April 8th. Im hoping to get feedback from someone in here. I was reading everything that posted in that forum and was shocked to hear about so many woman becomming pregnant with an IUD intact. I have the Paraguard. It has been in for 5yrs now. I have also been on time every month for the past 5yrs. Only now, I am 2 1/2 weeks late. I have taken a HPT about a week ago and it was negative, plus I have had cramping so I havent concerned myself to much with it. Only now, after reading all this, I am kind of concerned. That many woman having negative tests but still being pregnant. And all the IUD related pregnancies. I really dont need a baby right now. My youngest is 5. What are the chances of me being pregnant? Any suggestions? Has anyone had this or knows of anyone with this kind of issue?

I stopped taking the pill about 4 months ago and I haven't gotten my period since. I have taken HPT's after every missed period except for the last one which I took about a week before I missed my 3rd period and that was about two weeks ago. My husband and i are trying and haven't been using protection since I stopped using the pill. I have been completely fatigued lately, gas, nausea, my body tells me that I am and so do a lot of people I talk to but the HTP's tell me I'm not, could they be wrong? I'm just going crazy with every day that passes by. Please someone help....

I am glad I found this site. I am in the same boat as you. I had a miscarriage last year. My periods are not perfectly regular. Since I started the prenatal vitamins I was on 30 to 31 day cycle for the last five months. Last period on March 12. I had to take Zithromax on April 12 for an infection. I am 12 days late and still negative home preg tests. The blood test done four days before my due date was negative also. But I have no symptoms of periods what soever. I have nausea on and off. Painful boots and disturbed sleep. Can some one help please. Antibiotic can dealy my P's really?? I would really appreicate a lot if I can get some ideas

Hi - I have been TTC over a year. My last period was Jan 21st - while charting my cycle BBT I also did the ovulation pee test - well I haven't gotten my period yet!! I have taken 3 test - all negative. My cycle is a 42-45 day cycle. When my period was supposed to come I started having a discharge - and have had it ever since - no smell, no itch, just a discharge. My boobs don't hurt - they feel fuller and my stomach - I feel bloated alot, gasy, even some constipation. Any thoughts?? Has anyone had anything similar to this? I'm starting to think something is wrong with me.

hey lucy206 my name is niki im now 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant and you should go to the doctor cuz a sure sign is the discharge i went thru the same thing and went to dr found out due nov 30 i had no signs neither but still go get a blood test i went two months last year going by a negative test and since i never went to the doctor i miscarried so please anyone if you feel like you really pregnant get a blood test
