Thanks Niki for your advice. I actually forgot to mention that I do have a doctors appointment on May 1st. One of my friends at work said the same thing about the discharge - she said to me you are probably pregnant. But I'm not going to get my hopes up. Congrats to you - how do you feel? Any symptoms? Sometimes I think my mind is just playing tricks on me. You mentioned you miscarried - did they give you a reason? Now I hope that doesn't happen to me if I am pregnant- I can't imagine how you felt. Let me know how your pregnancy is going - if I am pregnant I will probably be due around a similar time as you.

Hi Ladies
I have since had my period on the 40th day and it lasted the normal 5 days, but it was different than the other periods. I have an appointment with my doc on 28/04/06 and will find out then, what is happening, I still have the symtoms but I do not want to get my hopes up and I have been in a slight depression, I have stayed away from my firends who have children,even my god children whom I adore but it's just to much at the moment seeing friends with their children and not having my own yet, maybe I'm being foolish but that is how I feel and I am trying to distract myself from the thought of pregnancy but I can't help myself. Am I going insane?

Alright, I would really appreciate any feedback. About two and a half months ago I had unprotected sex. He didn't ejaculate inside of me and it was actually only a few moments before I thought the better of it. I haven't had my period in three months (the last one was in January) and I imagine that if I was pregnant I would be 2 months along by now. I've taken three pregnancy tests, the most recent one about a week ago using first morning urine. All of them have come back negative. Also, for unrelated reason I was in the hospital and a lot of bloodwork was done and I feel as though it is something they would have seen in my blood tests. I don't think I have had any symptoms other than possibly peeing more frequently, but that may just be in my head. Thoughts? Thanks so much.

i took the morning after pill on the 21st of april and still havent got my period and its already the end of the month.(my periods dont usually come on time, sometimes its at the beginning of the month, sometimes its near the end of the month.) does this mean i'm pregnant? or does the pill change the time of the period?( if it changes the time..does this mean i will get my period next month instead? and not april?) and also i've gone to the toilet more, or maybe its because i've been drinking more water . um i dont really know the symptons of pregnancy =\ lol. i havent had pregnancy test yet, which i will probably need to do soon or should i wait to see if my period comes?

hi everyone jusat having some questions even a midwife is ahving trouble answering k i had a baby on christmas had the iud put in in jan bled everyday 4 times a day but only for an hour and very bad crampswell now i've only bled for a 20 min today but i have all the symptoms of when i was pregnant tired, peeing, discharge(no itch no smell) nausea and can't eat choclate breast tenderness smell stronger. well i can't go by a period just the fact that i never ahd one in teh first place so what do you guys think?please tell me i took a ept test 3 or 4 days ago, and it says nope. so i just want to see of anyone else ahd this too.

hi, I've had an IUD for about a year now, I always get my period like clock work, for about 10 days now I have been having pregnancy symptoms increasing by the day, I am about 1 week late on my period as well, give or take a few days. I have been preggo 3 times, and consider my self quite an expert at detecting the symptoms. I took 3 urine tests over the last 3 days, all negative, one was at th doc, she said everything was fine, there really was no room for suspician since I have an iud in place, she even did a pelvic and said the iud looked fine. I am so confused! I am very bloated, gained 3 lbs out of no where (no change in diet or excercise), I have been nausious, tired, breaking out with acne, head aches, constantly thirsty, peeing more often, increased clear vaginal discharge, yeast infection (something I always got when preg in the past), increased sex drive (also one of my symptoms), sensitivity to smell and the mild cramping that you get in the first trimester, I keep thinking its my period coming, but nothing. I'm so confused, after reading up on one of the forums, I was surprised to see how many others with iuds have gotten preggo, sure sounds like more than their 1% guarantee. I am going to get a blood test on wed. to double check. It's nice to know I'm not the only one in limbo. I've never had this problem in the past, if I was preg it would always show up right away. I would right it off as psychosymatic, but the symptoms started before I had any thought or notion of being preg. That was the last thing on my mind! Has anyone had negative tests a week after their missed period and still been pregnant? If the hormone is not prevalent enough to show up on the test, how am I already experiencing all these hormone-related symptoms?

Do you mind if I ask how old you are? I am 2 weeks late with my period; have had 4 negative hpts but I am 42. I am starting to think I might be perimenopausal.

HI everyone..wow this post has been going for quite a while. I haven't had a period since June 7th, 2006. I am on day 63 of my cycle today. Many HPT's came back negative and the dr. ordered a blood test yesterday. I got my results today and they are negative. So in about a week and 2 days I have an appt. If I end up starting before then I can cancel. If I don't start then I will go in and see what he says. I will post on here after my dr.'s appt and tell you what he did and said. Maybe it will give anyone else out there having these same problems some information. Good luck to all and lets keep in touch.

Wish I knew the answer. My period is 7 days late. I've taken 3 EPT tests at home and they all still say negative. Is it time to call the doctor?

Maribel......Are you having any signs of pregnancy? Most dr.'s aren't concerned if you are only a week late....they figure you just miscalculated or something. If you are pregnant there just might not be enough hormone in your system to detect yet. I know its extremely hard but I would wait it out a bit. I'm over a month late and still no period and blood test came back negative. I miscarried back in February and i'm really wanting another baby so this wait has been killing me. If it really bothers you go ahead and call the dr......maybe they will order a blood test just to put your mind at ease. I go to the dr. in a week to see what he says so i'll let you know and maybe it will help give you a little information to help if nothing else. Good luck to you!!!!

I am so glad that I found this forum!! I have been having the same problem. I am about 9 days late, however, my periods are usually only 1-2 days late at the most. I have been having a tiny bit of cramping in my lower stomach, breast tenderness, I am VERY tired, always hungry, random nausea and alot of vaginal discharge. My husband & I were sure I was pregnant, and took a pregnancy test yesterday, which turned out negative!! It was the cheapest one from walmart, and I am not sure if those work as well. What should I do? Do I get a blood test, or could all those symptoms be in my head? In June the same thing happened, I was 3 weeks late, had those same symptoms, and then had a period. But my period blood was VERY dark and it was alot more heavy than normal. In July however I was completly on schedule and normal. I wonder if maybe I might have had an early m/c in June. I am not sure what to do now though. Do I just ride my symptoms off and believe the test, or keep hoping and get a blood test? help!!! :)

I am 17 days late with negative tests as well. I say push for a blood test or an ultrasound if you can afford it, my dr last week said it was more than likely a phantom pregnancy. I didn't agree with the dr since my boyfriend and I decided to wait a bit longer before we try so I asked for an ultrasound to see for sure and he put the reason for the ultrasound down on the form as looking for a missed abortion, at least I am getting the ultrasound.....

joannahbrt - Thanks for the response. The only symptoms I have are extreme fatigue, but that could be just stress. You're over a month late, with a negative blood test - did the doctor just say to wait? Are you still thinking positive? It's very difficult when you have a miscarriage - you worry even more about everything. What did the doctor say about being over a month late, and with negative test results? Is there still a possibility?

hi again everyone. I finally got into the dr. last night. I still haven't had a period with my last one being June 7th. So its been 2 and a half months. My dr. was great and is doing a full workup on it. First of all they gave me a urine preg. test which came back negative. Then he gave me an internal exam. After that I went to the lab for a blood preg. test (which i'm sure will be neg). I have to call on Thursday for my results. When that comes back neg. then he gave me a prescription to start provera pills for 5 days. Within 10 days of doing that i should start my period. I also have to go in for an ultrasound so he can check for any possible cysts of tumors just to rule that out. When i start my period i will go back in on day 4 or 5 and he will give me a prescription for some fertility pills to make sure i ovulate. So that is the plan and we'll take it from there. Me and hubby said whatever happens happens...if i get preggo great if not then i'm not going to stress out about it. So there is just a little info for ya guys that are having the same problems. My dr. was great and sat down and talked to me about the whole situation. He don't have an answer as to why it stopped. I've lost weight i've been eating healthy and working out a little. If nothing shows on the ultrasound then he said he don't have a reason all he can do is help me get my cycle back started again so that is what he'll do. Good luck to any of you that is also having this. My advice would be go to the dr. I will keep you guys updated on everything that happens. If this help just one person at least then that will be great. So I'll let you know about the blood test results tomorrow and i'll let you know if the provera pills worked. Good luck to all!!!!
