Okay ladies, I may be ridiculous, and impatient, but this 2ww is gonna killme...Thisis my first IUI and I've had symptoms (or so it seems)...so, I'm wondering...can an OPK detect pregnancy? I know I've seen this post somewhere, but was hoping you could update me? My left over OPK had 2 faint lines on both control and predictor line. Of course, they say to use them within 30 days, and I'm close to that deadline, so not sure if that's from that "expiration". I'm only 3dpiui (i know, i'm ridiculously anxious!)...but, curious. An HPK wouldn't test anything yet, right?

I think with a IUI you can't test until you miss your period because the hormones they give you can cause a false positive on a hpt. I have heard of women getting positive opks and being pregnant but I am not sure how accurate it is. I know a opk test for the LH surge to happen and a hpt test for the hcg hormones, seems they test for two different hormones. 3 days past iui is too early to know for sure with a hpt. With my daughter I was negative at 11 dpo and positive at 12 dpo with firsts response.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate your input and am currently 8dpo, so I will look forward to testing soon. :)
