OPK For HPT ?

Do they really detect HCG earlier than a HPT would? im sorry if that's a stupid question, but im interested to know how that works.. any feedback would be appriciated. Thank you

I have no idea if it really works or not, but I have also heard if you are pregnant a opk will show a positive result. But, it is a little confusing to me because I thought a hpt test for hcg hormone and a opk test for the lh surge to happen, so seems they test for two different hormones, so who knows.

Thank you kimberly and starlight =) i've read the article on opk as hpt and find it very interesting, only im still now sure how its done lol i gave it a try n got confused, so i guess its better to use each for its own purpose --
