Last week I took my 4th home preg. test, and it came out negative. I believe I am about 3 weeks late (almost ready for the next one). Just yesterday I thought I may be having my period, but it's not the same. Everytime I wipe, I will have some blood in it, but it is not a period because the flow is not there. Today is the same thing. I told my husband I will wait 1-2 weeks before going to the doctor's just so that I am not wasting any time. According to my research, it takes 2-3 weeks for the egg to attach to the mother, which can cause spottings. Once the egg is attached, the hormones (hcg) will produce. I am wondering if this is what is going on. I too would like to have another child, but it gets disappointing when the tests comes back negative.

I recently went through three months without a period and took numerous tests and blood test and they all came out negative. It seems that I was stressed out and made my blood pressure high and as a result, I delayed my period. So don't think about it. Just relax because if you do, you'll just stress yourself out.

I am a week late too and I have taken every pregnancy test on the market with negative results. I am having the same symptoms that I had when I was pregnant with my daughter. I want a second baby and I hope that I am pregnant. By the way, I never miss a period, and have never been more than two days late. It's driving me nuts.

I am about 10 days late. I took 4 pregnancy test, because I thought I may have conceived. I have not tested in 6 days, but will test this weekend. I have slightly tender breasts and have a cramp every now and then. I have been very tired and somewhat moody. I have benn off the pill for almost 3 months. The pregnancy tests I used, I ordered off the internet. Has anyone had problems with false negatives with tests they ordered from the internet?

hi there,i went from periods every 30 days to having about 40 days between. have just had sterilization reversed, so am desperate to conceive.it's possible to ovulate/conceive at ANY time in the month, so if a test shows up approx 10 days fter you conceive & you ovulate later in the month then it may well be too early to test.i do not ovulate the normal 14 days before my next period starts & know it's possible to conceive anytime. try to wait a few days if you can (i know how hard that is!). i had false negatives with my last 2 pregnancies because it was too early to pick up the hcg hormone.i don't have high counts of it.good luck, let me know how you get on.sally

CAS - June 30th, 2005 6:44 PM

I am one week late I am never that late!! I took two test, both negative. I guess I need to call the Doc?

mindy - July 3rd, 2005 12:14 AM

I promised I would keep you posted, so here it is. After not getting a positive blood test, my Dr. suggested a sit out on pregnancy tests for a week and see what happens then. Yesterday, while shopping at Costco, I got a really sharp pain. I went into the bathroom and started painfully passing clots. I called the Dr. and he sent me to the E.R. I spent the next 7 hrs having what they called an undetectable misscarriage. Basically, I was pregnant but the placenta never formed and so the HCG never presented itself. As soon as the ultr-sound showed that all of the stuff had cleared out of my uterus, I went home. So, if you know your body well enough that a missed period is a big concern to you, then tell your Dr. right away and push for an ultrasound. It will at least put your mind to ease, and if you have "tricked" yourself into thinking you are pregnant due to wishful thinking, it might convince you otherwise and you will probably start all on your own. You do know your body best, so push the issue if you have concerns. Good luck to you all, I hope you dreams come true.
