well I been reading these posts and decided to stop testing for a while. I been TTC so I took a total of 7 early tests I got off the net (maybe they don't work?) I had 2 tests at the doctor. One was negative but it was 2 days before my period and one was a blood test day after my period should have arrived. I am 5 days late and I am never late. I spoke to a lab tech friend and she said the tests were done too soon to wait because sometimes + won't show until the 6th week. Therefore I am testing the 24th & 31st if no period with a different set of tests. After that I will just go back to the doctor. This board has been great.

oh that's odd about the ovulation tests cause I took one of those that came with the pregnancy tests out of frustration and it came back + so not sure what is going on. I wasn't due for ovulation yet. I been testing early though cause I have to get off my medications and the doctor won't take me off until I am pregnant, never mind I am TTC. BTW 2 of the 7 home tests were not from online and they had faint + or evaporation lines.

i am a week late and got a test..negative! i have been pregnant before but unfortunately lost it but i felt exactly the same this time..tired all the time need to wee lots and feeling sick! i looked on the internet and found that some women are naturally low in the hormone HCG produced when ytou are pregnant. give it 3-4 days (the tests say 2-3 but longet the better) and do it again. if negative again then see your doctor.

Bens Mom- Haven't gotten my results quite yet. I'm going to call them at lunchtime. I'm going crazy waiting. Even though I don't personally have a doubt I'm pregnant, (whether or not it's ectopic could be a different story) it's still so disapointing to hear someone tell you are not. The only thing that keeps me positive is hearing all the different stories of women who have completely healthy pregnancies and don't have HCG show up for a very long time. Good luck with your blood test. It will most likely take a couple days to get results back, unless they order them stat, which they typically only do if they suspect miscarriage.

I did go get a blood test around 2:30 and they said I will have the result by tomorrow morning. I'm so nervous right now. I called first thing this morning, but they weren't going to just let me get the blood test until I insisted and they finally called and said I could. What a pain.

Did you get your results? I hope it was what you wanted!

Well Girls- I'm apologizing ahead of time for what's surely going to sound like a depressed and negative post. I got my blood work back today. The thing is, I had already prepared myself for that to be negative. If the HPT's aren't picking up any HCG, then why would the blood test? But I didn't care, because I'm never late and right now I'm 2 1/2 WEEKS! Plus, I have ALL the symptoms. What's gotten me through it is hearing all the accounts of people saying they kept coming up negative even being 3 weeks late, ect. Well the test was in fact negative. I simply was looking for reassurance from the nurse who called when I ask, "But it's possible for me to still be pregnant and to just not have produced enough HCG, right?" She said she didn't know and got the doctor. He was a complete jerk to me. When I mentioned reading several instances of women taking a long time to produce the hormone... he cut me off and says, "I've spent four years in residency and four years in med school... have you read that much?" I just hung up before I started crying. Perhaps he was only doing his job by assuring me I was in fact NOT pregnant, regardless of what I felt or thought. But to be so sure, and to hear so harshly there is no way.. it's rough. He also wanted me to take a shot inducing my period. I'd rather concoct and administer my own shot than see him again any time soon. My husband still thinks it's possible, but I left myself get too excited this time, so it's negative-town for me for a while :) I just don't understand... in this very forum there are about 20 girls who say they tested negative (blood and urine) for 2-6 weeks of being late before they showed up being pregnant all along. Could they all have been wrong?

Well I got my period this morning after 15 days late. I'm so disappointed. Just thought I'd share.

Bens Mom- I'm sorry, look at it this way- now you can start trying again and hopefully have a less quizical month. Last night (20 days late) I saw just the tiniest bit of blood. It only lasted a couple of minutes. I thought I was starting, but I had no cramps like I always do and the bleeding didn't last. Is it possible it's late implantation bleeding? Or just chalk it up to a super weird cruel month? Anyone?

leslieamanda01- you never know. could be the implantation! its hard trying not to get your hopes up too much but doctors don't know everything! a friend of mine got negative tests right up to been almost 7 months pregnant!!! if you feel like you are then believe that you are. you know your body and what is normal better than any arrogant doctor!

Thanks NAT4ROB. Hope you get some answers too. If this months is infact a failure concieving-wise, my husband and I already have our appt for Our first IVF treatment. I'm young and healthy and I know my eggs are good, so hopefully we have success there.

good luck with ivf then. i have just got another neg hpt back. going to have a test at the doctors today. hope 2 god its a positive.

Hey Ladies, I guess am on the same boat as you all..its 4th day i missed my AF. I am having cramping on my lower back for last 10days now
and yesterday had neck pain.. was spotting n very very light bleeding few days back...it also kinda hurts when I press my stomach.. but no nausea or breasts tenderness or anything
like that..Did 4 HPT all came out bfn. Went to Doc yesterday, again PT came out bfn. Doc said it cannot be pg symptoms because the harmone level is very low..I have had my blood test done
waiting to get my results sometime today or tom...I am totally confused ladies!!! If its not pg symp, what else could it all be?
