ladymeka24......I have exactly the same thing going on. My last period was on November 28th and I still haven't see anything since then. I am just finishing day 48 and counting. I have taken 3 HPT's since the end of December and nothing so far. If I was pg I figure I would be about 5 weeks and I guess sometimes HCG doesn't show up until 6 or 7 weeks for some women. So, I haven't been to the doctor thought I would wait to see if my next period will come. If it doesn't, I'll see the doctor then. Having any symptoms???

Hi all. Newcomer here. Well feels so much better that I'm not the only one stressing about the negative pregnancy test. Missed my period only for 6 days but it has always been spot on before. Has been trying to get pregnant for the past 1 yr and since missing the period has been imagining myself having all the early symptoms. Well planning to rpt the test again in 3 days. If still negative may be considering taking the blood test. Good luck to everybody...

let me join ur team =) Im 22 years young and i already have a 20mon old beautiful babygirl, we've been ttc for the past 4 mons ( i got off bcp 4 mons ago) never missed a period since ive stared gettin them at age 10, always on time if anything 1 or max 2 days late, last AF was December 10th so i am as of today 6days late, in the last 6days ive taken 4 hpt (cheap and expensive kinds) all BPN =( i've been having tiny cramps like the ones i get wen im about to get my AF and nothing ever comes. I no wen im going to get my AF because my breast r really tender and this month they werent sore or at least very little. With my daughter the 5 days before your missed period test worked immediately 5 days before my missed period. So is every child different? Did being on bcp lower my pregnancy hormone level? ANYONE & EVERYONE WITH ADVICE or a SIMILAR CASE WITH ANSWERS PLEAE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!

rachels so when you took both of the test that came back neg how late were you? just curious because right now im so tired my body is aching alot like my legs and today my boobs were tingling a bit i have a heachache that wont go away and if i eat i cant eat to much without feeling sick. and not to be gross but im discharging were sometimes it feels like i might have my period but i go to the bathroom and nothing just white discharge...

Hey Tera I am also late for my period ad i went to my doctor to get a tests done and to see if i was pregnant but she told me to wait till it two weeks or more than take a pregnancy test and if its neg. come and and see her. so i would try and do thats what i did!! So maybe that will help you a little bit i hope. She was telling me that if you wait more than two weeks you are most likely to be pregnant!! Well i hope i helped you a little!! AND THIS GOES OUT TO ALL THE GIRLS AND BOYS THAT HAVE GIRLFRIENDS THAT THINK THEY R PREGNANT!! I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ALL! !

Hi Everyone. As has been said before, glad to know I'm not the only one. Even tho I know all the reasons I could be l8 with a -tive hpt, I'm still searching for that 1 pg on the web that says "its wrong, you're pregnant!". No such luck tho.
I'm a week late, 3 -tive hpt's, bin trying for 7 months. And been trying a whole lot more over the time I would've ovulated this month. And feel pregnant. But without that proof I can't let myself get 2 xcited.
To wewantbaby#2 - hope I'm wrong for you, but think the amount of hgc is down to the mother, not the baby, so if it worked b4, should work again. Doesn't mean you're not preg tho.

My period was due January 15, 08. I've done 4 hcg tests and all negative. However I've never done one that was first morning because I can't hold my pee that long. Could I still be pregnant? I have sore back and very sensitive nipples..

Okay, So I need any responses or past experience from anyone out there in a similar situation as me...

For the past 6 months or so, I've been fudging on the Pill and not being 100% good with it, but that is okay, as me and my hubby have decided to go off the pill as of this last cycle. I tried during the most fertile times, twice daily. ;o)

My LMP was on Xmas 2007, as of the 22nd of Jan., I am late. I've taken 2 HPT's and 1 at the Dr., all negative. The Dr. wrote the whole thing off and told me that it was neg. and that I should try again, it hurt to hear that the test was neg., but I still FEEL the same, so this did not ease my mind.

My body feels different than it ever has, I am so nauseas, cramping & pains without bleeding, tired, loss of appetite, cranky and breast soreness... and my lower abdomen feels firm, almost constricting like I'd been doing stomach crunches, but not. As mentioned, I feel like I never have before, almost like I'm about to start, and then nothing.

I'd love to be pregnant, though I guess I should almost wait it out until Tues. or Wed. of next week and do a blood test? Any help or advice from people who have been in this position would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. Day 43 in a 31 day cycle. had a couple pos hpts & neg quant blood test last week. Still no AF. What I want to know is the outcome of these other ladies who are/have experienced this. Thanks

hey everyone! if my period doesn't come tonight then i will be 2 weeks late as of tomorrow. I've taken two home pregnancy tests and went to planned parenthood and had a test there, and everything came out negative. my periods are usually pretty regular. I am 21 years old and my boyfriend and i are not ready to have a baby. i haven't had any sympoms other than a late period. i also don't have any insurance so i am afraid i can't afford getting a blood test at the doctor. i'm so confused, scared, and impatient!! what is going on?

Jackson1 - I know how you feel. I had my 1st child at 20. I had no idea I was pregnant & found out during my annual. They did a urine test & it was pos. I think I was about 8 weeks along at that time. I can't remember if I was late or not though! It's been 10 years ago! If you've been having unprotected sex there's always a possibility. However, it's probably more likely that you miscalculated your period or ovulated late. Also take note if you've been under added stress this cycle prior to being late. Here is what I would suggest:
1. If your period doesn't show up in the next week, go to your local clinic & have an annual. Also request a blood test at that time. There should be a community health action agency that will provide this service for free.
2. Try to relax...I know it's cliche but it's true. The hpt's are probably right.
3. From this point forward do not have unprotected sex. If you're not ready for a child, don't put yourself in that position. It's not fair to your b/f, the child & definitely yourself. Condoms aren't expensive & charting your cycle is free. Go to fertility friend & it'll give you all the info you need to learn about your cycle. When you're most fertile & when you're not. Plan having sex around your least fertile times. Use condoms as a backup.

mrsmtree, thank you so much. it really does help to talk to other people about it. i have only had sex twice since my last period, and we always use a condom. (sorry if this is too much information, it probably is) but before he put the condom on, he might have gone inside a tiny bit but i always tell him to stop. i know that precum can still cause a woman to get pregnant so that is the only thing i can think of that we weren't careful about. i can't take birth control because both my grandma and mom had breast cancer and that was the cause of my grandma's cancer.
i know that a lot of it could be stress. i wasn't stressed a whole lot before my period started but as soon as it was a couple of days late i started getting really stressed, and now it's all i can think about!!

how do i find a community health action agency in my area? i went to planned parenthood but i think it still costs around $100 for an annual and they don't do any bloodwork.

You're welcome! Try the phone book and look under the government section. It should have something about a health clinic or an action agency. You can also call your local social services office and they may be able to give you information on the closest office. It is different from planned parenthood. Don't worry about the TMI. I've heard and seen a lot in my 30 years and nothing much surprises me anymore! lol...Glad to hear you are taking precautions! Yes, the "predrip" can cause pregnancy. That's how both of mine were conceived. That's not a typical situation though. Either one or both partners need to be quite fertile for that to occur. So, I know in "the heat of the moment" it's hard to stop and cover but it'll save a lot of stress in the long run. You can both make slipcovering the couch fun too so it's not a chore...ahem. I do not take b/c either. My husband & I use condoms and family planning. So I understand especially since ur family has a negative history w/it. And I still haven't started either! It's all I think about and I'm married w/2 kids! It does help to just talk about it sometimes. I imagine that a test would've showed pos by now. You probably just ovulated late. Look into the health clinic so you can get an exam to rule out anything else. Glad to hear that test was neg since that's what you want right now. I'll bet you start in the next day or two!

mrsmtree- good news. i think i started my period today. i had really bad cramps and i'm not bleeding a whole lot but my periods are usually pretty light. i think i did a little too much research, so i feel like nothing is going to convince me that i'm not pregnant...with all of the talk of women "spotting" while they are pregnant and everything. i think it's safe to assume that i'm not pregnant but i will still keep you updated! i hope that something happens with you soon so that you know what's going on! i know exactly how you feel.
