hey, the exactly the same thing has happened to me im a week late as of today and done preg test and negative. i am actually really worried as i havent had unpetected sex and i now cant stop worrying about it its driving me mad i dont know what else would make me late...i really dont want to b preganant! help

I too am a week late as of today and I haven't been this late since I was pregnant with my daughter 8 years ago. I have very tender breasts, been queasy with some vomiting, haven't had much of an appetite, headaches, small stomach pains, constipation, excess discharge, pretty much all of it but no sign of AF! My husband and I have been trying seriously for over a year and would love to finally be pregnant. I took 2 hpt's and then had a blood test done on Wednesday, they were all negative, but I swear I'm pregnant... even though it's been awhile. With my daughter I was 8 weeks along before any test said positive... even after 4 days in the hospital they couldn't find that I was pregnant!! So, I'm holding on to hope... Hi,I'm a week late with my period too
& i'm 40.I'm not sexually active.
Never have been.So i know i'm not pregnant.I'm usully a 25 day girl.but i have never really been regular.This has happened before though & i became regular in the next month.When i was in my thirty'sw this happened twice.
But i did get my periods regularly for the most part.Since i'm 40 could i be approaching menopause.My mother was 45 when she went though it.I feel this is kind of young.Can anybody tell me what they think is going on?I'm not so stressed out.But i did go to the doctor for another matter & that worried me a little.Cause i hate doctors & hospitals.Could that little worry delayed it?Please respond.

hey this was wierd after i wrote the last comment i went into town and got another preg test it again was negative and i looked down and i had just come on it was so strange. i still dont know what the prob is but it does not ness mean your pregnant just cos your a week late....

congrats Shar! so happy to hear you are pregnant! there is hope yet i am 6 day late myself no sign of af at all not even a drop, back pain is unbearable, boobs so veiny they look like road maps! and feel sick from time to time. Going to doctors monday to ask lots of question and if still no af im going to demand an ultra soundwhich im sure all us women have a right to do that is the most definite sign!most docs should be able to tell by a small internal exam of the cervix i have checked my own and it high and soft where it should be in early preg. I don't have the answer for you but I am in the same boat. My period is a week late, which it is never late, and i have taken 3 tests all negative.

Well i got a period last week after it being 12 days late and i was disappointed but we have only been trying for 1 month and i tried not to get my hopes up but i new it could be irregular at first coming off the pill but when it was getting to 12 days i thought that maybe i was but i'm not giving up because it's only early days we will just keep trying.

Hi Elaine No we havent been trying but I am not on the pill and we only really use the pull out method which has worked for us for last 2 yrs. We have not had any mistakes this last month which leaves me puzzled

Kim i also used that method for a while trying properly now while if done properly it can work a treat but it cant be trusted my friend got pregnant and she was a pro! ive been to the doctor this morning but couldnt get a wee out so im holding it and going back this afternoon! there has to be something up my nipps are like dinner plates now that cant be in my head but please god if its not a baby is not anything serious ill only worry if i miss another period hang on in there if its a baby for you and your happy good luck let me know how you get on! Hi.I am very late. HPT's = neg.
But I feel rotten. My stomach/digestive system is really upset. Does anyone recognise these symptoms - as they are not really period symptoms but they are making me feel awful.

It's me again... I was 11 days late yesterday & last night in bed I started having sharp pains on my left side and pain in my back. This morning my husband woke me up because he had blood on his leg... I'm bleeding really heavy with large clots and I can't hardly stand up straight 'cause the pain is so bad! I don't know if I should get checked, the blood HCG test last Wednesday said negative, but I never bleed like this! I had endometriosis that I was on Lupron injections for 6 months and ended over a year ago without any symptoms since... what should I do??

Amber, if I were you, I would go and get checked out. Are you still in pain?

You're probably having a miscarriage. That's what it sounds like, definitely go to the doc and good luck with everything!
