Can having a urinary tract infection affect hpt results? I took an hpt and got a neg but frequently have the urge to go to the bathroom so i took a home uti test and it was positive. AF is late.

I was feeling the urge to urinate every 30mins and felt pressure when I did. First thing I thought was infection but, I took a test and it was positive. I never had this prob with my first baby so it came as a shock to me that it actually is a common symtom of pregnancy.

I help felt the urge to pee lately also? I have been to the doctor, but they did not say anything about a uti.

my doctor said that it is common but does not effect hpt results. AF finally came five days late so its back to the drawing board.
